Top!! Echt een aanrader!!!

Hartelijke gastvrouw, enige zwembad in stadje (naast twee in resorthotels). Heerlijk zwembad met mooi uitzicht!. In oude gedeelte stad dichtbij de bekende winkelstraatjes en eettentjes (aanrader: Furra restaurant). Mooie kamers, ook gloednieuwe met geluidloze airco!

Als je het spannend vindt om met de auto door kleine straatjes te manoeuvreren neem dan contact op met de gastvrouw, zij kunnen altijd iets regelen. Ook komen ze je ophalen als je met de bus komt.

Wonderful stay in the most gorgeous location.

Super lovely stay in this little guest house for a few nights. Its in the perfect location, just outside the bazaar but easy walking distance. We booked this place as we liked the idea of the swimming pool and it was the perfect choice as our kids loved cooling off by the pool after a hot morning of seeing the sights. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room spotlessly clean. The only area for improvement would be having a double bed option rather than only singles, and some extra power points in the upstairs. However, our whole family enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend this place.

Really amazing! Exceeds expectations!

The breakfast was great!! It’s so nice to have fresh homemade products! I was also stunned about the location and the pool!! Something I will also miss is the great view over the mountain. Too bad I couldn’t take that with me. But the best is the host!! He’s so friendly and welcoming! Thank you again for this wonderful stay!

I really have to think hard if there was anything and if I really start nitpicking then the WiFi could have been better. For us it wasn’t a big problem tho but it’s the only small thing I can think of.

Lovely property with amazing hosts

Ernest and his mother welcomed us like family and our stay was wonderful. The room was perfect- large and clean with a very comfortable bed and decorated very nicely. It had everything we needed and Ernest was always available if we needed anything else. The location was great, around 10 minutes walk to the old town, taking into account the hilly nature of Gjirokastër! (bring some good shoes!) It was also in a great location for the castle which we walked to twice. Our favourite part was definitely the lovely breakfast cooked by Ernest and his mother. They asked upon arrival what time we would like to eat breakfast and prepared a lovely selection of foods and drinks for us to eat on the terrace for that time. The omelette in particular was amazing! Ernest also very kindly drove us to the main town and showed us which bus to catch onto our next destination when we departed. We absolutely recommend this place, it was wonderful.

The location is fantastic. 5-10 minute walk to the basar, restaurants and bars. The place is in the middle of old town. A super friendly host and we had very good breakfast with home-made cake. The view from the balcony was great. I can recommend this place.

The shower did not have warm/hot water. As it was hot outside anyways this did not matter to us much though.

Friendly, welcoming and charming guest house in beautiful old town.

Located between the lower downtown newer area and the upper old town is a short walk to either one. Friendly and welcoming. Very nice breakfast included.

The Cobblestone street to the upper old town was very steep.

Amazing room, with old windows, and great design with old traditional Albanian details, very comfortable, and very clean 😀 I highly recommend staying at least one night, though – it's a very relaxing guesthouse and a good place to unwind. You will feel Gjirokaster more in this guesthouse. It is a poetic place filled with a lot of love and kindness.

The owner was very friendly, he gave us good advices to visit Gjirokastër, and about the restaurants. The bedroom was very quiet and clean. Breakfast was very good and copious.

Magical mountain resort

The owner and his mother were very warm and welcoming to us. They served us tea and coffee upon our arrival. We sat on the balcony and watched the magnificent view before us with the castle and city surrounding us. It was magical. We should have planned to stay longer. The air was fresh. The owner drove us to the bus station the next morning.

A real home in the middle of this beautiful old city

It is in the middle of the old and beautiful city of Gyrokastra and really close to the old bazar, ina beautiful and typical and real house, but at the the same time is quiet and peaceful. The hosts are very nice and a real family. Another thing that touched us is that they have pets very well cared, a nice female dog Zara and a family cats with the mom and their two kittens lovely and loved! breakfast is also very good and jam is homemade and delicious! We really recommend this place!

Perfect stay in Gjirokastër. Only a five minute walk to the historic center and all the buzz, but you can sleep in perfect silence. Lovely hosts, great breakfast. We just stayed for one night, in hindsight we could have easily stayed one or two nights longer, as there are a lot of things to do.

A bit difficult to find, and you should feel comfortable driving through steep and narrow roads. But that is the magic of Gjirokastër.

Stunning guesthouse, a must when visiting Gjirokaster

This beautiful family run guesthouse located in the heart of Gjirokaster was one of the most comfortable stays we had on our holiday. The guesthouse had a beautifully kept garden and the pool was refreshingly cool. The room was very spacious, with a very comfortable bed and immaculately kept en suite. We were served a traditional breakfast of bread and jams with home grown tea, orange juice and coffee.

Ernest and his family were very kind hosts, ready to help us whenever needed. The place is even better in real then shown in the pictures: very comfortable and clean room, cosy terrace in the shadow to enjoy a drink or a very tasty homemade breakfast. As it gets hot in summer you can enjoy the small swimming pool. The hotel is in a great location: right in the city centre and near main attractions of Gjirokastër but in a quiet street.

Best place in Gjirokaster

The room is huge, AC, fully equipped and the house is very beautiful. The breakfast is great and there's a spot where you can hide from high temperatures of town. Ernest and his mother are the best host you can imagine: attentive, detail oriented and always wishing to make your stay perfect. He speaks very fluent English and send you to the best places for lunch and even souvenirs. The pool is a huge plus and you'll be in the centre of the old town. The house respects the classic structure of this heritage part and is literally 20 meters away from Ismael Kadare House. You'll get everything you need in half a kilometre from your room, even bazaar and castle. Everything was so perfect that time flew away. Thank you for everything. The view from the patio of the room is stunning.

Beautiful Jem in Gjirokaster. Highly recommend it!

This place is just a little piece of heaven. An oase of tranquillity and kindness. We absolutely LOVED it. The hosts are genuinly warm and welcoming in a natural way. The guesthouse is supercute with beautiful flowers and a dipping pool and this all against tje backdrop of an amazing view.

Great traditional house with a perfect location, a wonderful garden and a welcoming host.

This place was absolutely wonderful and I recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the lovely town of Gjirokaster! The host was super welcoming and the customer service was top notch. This fantastic guest house turned out to be so much more than we had expected: The guest house was located in the heart of the old town in Gjirokaster and a few minutes walk from the Old bazaar. The house itself and all the nearby houses were built in the traditional style for the area, this distinctive architecture was part of the appeal that drew us to Gjirokaster in the first place. However, the house was modern inside and had all the necessary accommodations and a great Wifi. The garden was super cozy and it is a great location to enjoy the incredible, traditional breakfast with lots of local ingredients and the best homemade jam I have ever had. The view from the garden was also something else, the property is situated on a hillside with a great view over the town and the beautiful mountains surrounding Gjirokaster. We also enjoyed a swim in the pool with the same view, perfect for the warm Gjirokaster summer days. The host was also extremely friendly and his love for animals was clear to see. As well as a dog, he had two cute kittens while we were there and playing with them enhanced the experience even more. He also fed the local turtles every morning and we got a chance to see them eat. This place was just the best!

Marvelous old house and great Host

Amazing place to stay in Gjirokastra. Peaceful area, large terracy with a great view and amazing host who told us a lot about interesting places to visit, history and surroundings. Thank you very much for such warm welcome and for tasty breakfest as well.

The guest house was lovely and so was the owner. We loved the view and the peaceful setting. Breakfast was very good, especially the mountain tea, homemade jelly and hard boiled eggs! I can never find hard boiled eggs in Albania.

In Gjirokaster you just can't do much about the parking. Tight cobblestone streets make it difficult for someone who is not familiar with these conditions. We had trouble finding the guesthouse because our GPS kept telling us to turn right where there was no road. We noticed stairs so we parked the car and walked up the steps to find a little slice of heaven.

Best place ever. Set in a traditional house, carefully renovated to give all the comfort one might need. Great location, in walking distance to pretty much everything. Ernest, the owner is the most welcoming person ever and helped us to find our way all around Gjirokaster. Highly recommended!
