About this house rental

Most guests describe their joy that the view is more amazing in real life than in our photos. It immediately puts guests into a relaxing frame of mind to make the most of their time in paradise.

Bedrock is ideal for a large family or a group of friends travelling together or gathering for a special occasion.

Elevated into the coastal ranges, the home was designed to maximise the tropical breezes and views to the reef and islands (even from the downstairs apartment).

The sublime indoor/outdoor living spaces allow everyone to make the most of relaxing quietly or socialising constantly. Bedrock has a gourmet Miele appointed kitchen with gas cooktop that makes preparing meals a breeze. You can choose from dining indoors around the 8 seater table or dine on the back deck which also seats 8 around a Teak outdoor setting and really enjoy being in the tropics. The kitchen island will allow all to gather around to enjoy a meal or make plans for your stay.

The property is on a 1000sq metre fully fenced block. The lush gardens and large grass lawns allow for plenty of outdoor family fun when you want to enjoy the amazing Cairns climate, and whilst enjoying the gardens you can jump in and out of the pool or relax on the pool deck.

For those days when it does rain, the generous rear balcony provides an entertaining or recreational area protected from the wind and rain for all the family to enjoy. For more competitive families, the table tennis table in the garage is perfect for family championships, or board games such as Monopoly, Pictionary and Jenga will give plenty of exciting moments.

For designated lazy days staying at Bedrock, there are 2 TV's, with Netflix available on both TV's, so adults and children can both watch their favourite programmes.

You are only a 3 minute drive to the heart of Palm Cove and its restaurants and bars, or it is a very leisurely 20 minute walk. Perfect for an evening meal or nightcap with a peaceful stroll home.

Nearby Attractions

BEDROCK is only minutes from Palm Cove, which has some world renowned restaurants and bars. 'Nu Nu's' is frequently acclaimed by the media for their food, wine list and service.

Chill cafe, opposite NuNu's at the Southern end of the esplanade is great for breakfast or a coffee throughout the day and is one of our favourites.

Other restaurants and bars definitely worthy of a visit include Vivo's and The Rising Sun. Most restaurants serve food all day including breakfast. For a more informal venue try the Palm Cove Surf Club.

10 minutes south of the house is Cairns Sky Rail where you can take a gondola above the rainforest and then explore the markets and cultural attractions of Kuranda village in the hills. At the same location is Tjabukai aboriginal park, displaying aboriginal culture and history.

Next door is the Cairns Cable Ski Park for the more adventurous providing wake boarding, water skiing and knee boarding. Lessons are available for those wanting to learn.

30 minutes drive to the North of Palm Cove is Port Douglas, with its shopping, restaurants and local cultural activities. Just North of Port is Mossman Gorge which is amazing for a swim. Further North is the heritage listed Daintree Rainforest, with Cape Tribulation.

Very well presented and spacious home. The hosts were very accommodating as we needed to change our dates, and it wasn't a drama. Perfect location being only a short drive north to Port Douglas or south to Cairns. I would definitely recommend staying at Bedrock and we will be returning guests.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bedrock! Comfortable, amazing views, great pool, well maintained and it had anything we might have needed. Even the body wash and shampoo and conditioner were a nice extra! Will definitely be back again. Thank you!

Amazing house, we didn’t want to leave!!! Perfect family holiday home and outdoor living space, with a great pool overlooking the amazing views of the ocean and forests/mountains. Absolutely perfect! Beautiful decor & furnishings, very well equipped for everything (bbq’s, baking, etc)

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The view is stunning and the kitchen was a great draw card to be able to enjoy home cooked meals as a group. We enjoyed the pool and although it is back from the beach it is a quick drive and worth it for the peaceful location. We will definitely recommend to friends and keep it in mind for future adventures.

Situated in a quiet neighbourhood in Palm Cove, this is a beautiful property in a beautiful location! The home was clean, instructions were clear from check in all the way to check out, not to mention the views are absolutely stunning. There's plenty of room to hang out in the house and we loved that downstairs was a spacious little hideout of its own -equipped with a kitchenette and bathroom. All rooms had towels and bedding provided which was nice, as well as a kitchen with utensils, toaster and a coffee machine. The hosts Alex & Alexis made our stay very comfortable as they were very friendly which made communication super easy. We felt very welcomed by them. Aside from the gekkos and other critters that you would expect to come across in tropical Cairns, booking a property that you can look forward to relaxing and recharging at the end of a full day of adventures, can really make/break a trip - could not recommend this stay enough. Would definitely book again 😊💯

From initial Enquiry to our arrival Alex the owner was so helpful, nothing was to much trouble. When we arrived the pictures did not do it justice. Incredible views over the cove, the house is stocked with all you need to make for a fantastic stay The pool was just what we needed through the hot days . This house has everything you can ask for when looking for a family get away . All the kitchen facilities you need. Beds are extremely comfy. Great outdoor area with a pool. Hosts are extremely hopeful . Views are 10/10 . We would definitely stay in this home again .

We had such a wonderful stay at Bedrock! The house was beautiful, clean and those views!!! Alex and Alexis were amazing to deal with, we were meant to travel a year earlier, but thankyou to covid we were unable to come. They were so understanding and made rebooking so easy. Communication was always very warm and helpful :) We can not wait to come back and enjoy that view and sunshine again, highly recommend!

The house was well appointed, kitchen had all the required basics. The tv was very small, which made watching a movie hard. There were geckos in the house most nights. Was disappointed that the king bed was actually two singles pushed together.

The house was great , spacious for all my family.Pool was a lovely retreat .the kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of crockery , plates etc . It would of been great to have had a ice dispenser on the fridge as it was a very hot weekend . the aircon in the main bedroom was not as cold as it could be . Like i said it was a very hot weekend , while we were there . We loved the privacy of the house position. .The host was very helpful and nothing was a problem ..would stay again .

The owners of this property gave us wonderful advice and could not have been more helpful. The property has magnificent views and the sunrises were photographed regularly. The lay out is excellent. We allowed the three children to have the downstairs suite while the adults had their own privacy at both ends of upstairs. The flow through breeze with all doors open made it very comfortable and the outdoor was delightful. No one wanted to leave and we certainly hope to return.
