We had an amazing time during our stay, from organizing details with the hosts until we left the property. The house is large, full of character and very clean. Communication with the hosts was always on point and immediate when required, and whole experience was just amazing. The nature, the area, being surrounded by mountains and trees and walking out into the magnificent property and the land was absolutely priceless. Daily sightings of wallabies, kangaroos, unusual birds we’ve never seen in Sydney, and magic all around us. I was very sad leaving indeed.

Breathtaking spot!
My family and i had a lovely stay at Zoellas for 3 nights this week..
From the moment we arrived we were met with wallabies and rosella and there was endless wildlife to enjoy watching..
The property is remote which is what we were after, nothing but the sound of silence and nature..(but still only a 10min drive to The Tea House)
The house is very well equipped with every kind of kitchen utensil on offer and endless board games for the kids..The piano and guitar were a lovely addition for us..Walks on the property to the giant rocks and caves were also a highlight of our stay (especially for our 6 and 7yr old kids)..

Great family weekend
Zoellas was the perfect place for a family weekend away. Directions were clear to get to the property, even if the rain made the roads a little more exciting! Once we were there, we didn't want to leave. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views, take walks on the property and enjoy the cooler weather.

Perfect for our purpose
We were attending wedding at Dryridge Estate and it was an easy drive (although roads were quite chewed up from recent rains) to the estate. Nice, quiet getaway.

Beautiful quiet location, restful.
We loved staying here- the valley is magical- amazing views and atmosphere. Well equipped and welcoming homely house with great verandah. Warmer than Blackheath and we ended up leaving the door open at night despite no fly screens in bedroom. Great for family reunion.

Zoellas - wonderful
After a solid week of heavy rain I was concerned about the dirt roads and creek crossing in a lower than typical sedan. We contacted Suzanne on Friday morning and she kindly kept us informed of creek levels and other issues throughout the day. The driveway is a challenge in a lower than typical car and needs to be done very slowly and very carefully. We arrived on a very wet, cold and foggy Friday evening and it was delightful to find the fireplace ready to go on our arrival, it just needed to be lit and it warmed us and the house very quickly :).
The house is roomy, well equipped and comfortable. There was plenty of room and everything else for the 6 adults on our weekend away. The outlook from every room is beautiful, but particularly spectacular from the lounge room, verandah and front bedrooms. Seeing wallabies on the property and feeding the birds in the morning was a delight. Under cover parking is plentiful in the barn about 30 metres from the house. We were in Megalong Valley to attend a wedding at the Dry Ridge Estate Winery, which is only 15 minutes away. Our double bed was too soft in the middle, but that aside, we would highly recommend Zoellas if you want a quite, very comfortable place to stay with spectacular nature surrounding you.

What a fabulous place !!!
For us, this place is close to our definition of heaven on earth ! It's not only the view (which is gorgeous), but the peacefulness of the place: when you step out in the morning, it is just you and the birds (rosellas, parrots, etc) and maybe a couple of wallabies. No one else around. No other sound around. And you have the whole property for yourself.
There are lots of indoor and outdoor games for the kids. The lounge with the fireplace is very cosy, and the fireplace is efficient enough to keep the whole house warm.
But the patio is definitely the best place to relax, with its rocking chair and hammock.
We'll sure be back !

Just delightful!
A delightful property and it seems we had a very similar experience to just about everyone else that has stayed and reviewed Zoellas. We arrived on Friday afternoon to find the loungeroom fireplace and the outdoor firepit already lit ready for our arrival. Nice touch!
The outlook from the verandah is brilliant. Its impossible not to feel totally chilled out in about 3mins. We were a group of 8 adults and we enjoyed relaxing on the verandah area at nearly every hour of the day. We had perfect autumn weather and I'm not sure it could get any better....shhh, dont tell anyone. All the facilities in the house were as described and very comfortable. We were in the area to attend a wedding at the nearby Dry Ridge Estate Winery, which is also brilliant and worth a visit. The drive into the Valley is worth the trip alone and it's topped off crossing the babbling brook that is Megalong Creek on arrival at Zoellas. We all hope to return one day soon. Thanks for the stay.

Just Wonderful
Just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your amazing property with our family. This place is truly magical and we had a wonderful time. Zoellas has everything you need for a relaxing get away and the view of the Megalong valley is just breath taking. We made a very last minute booking and the host Suzanne was most accommodating and was very prompt with reply's to my questions. This is one of those property's where you can tell the owners really care about their property and their guests. I cannot fault this property and we will definitely be back to visit again.

No power. No water. No food. Separated from our 3 week old baby
Upon arrival the information given to us regarding the access across the creek was incorrect. We were advised that they could get us across with a 4wd or tractor.
My wife and I were required to work at a wedding on the first night. We left our baby at the property with my wife’s parents. The creek flooded and left us unable to get back to the property and my parents in-law unable to get out.
We were told there was nothing to be done we’d just have to wait. You can imagine the mothers state.
After several hours I decided to cross anyway and made it through. At least we were now with our baby.
The next two days were spent cut off by 1.8m floodwaters with no power, no running water and not much food. One of us missed a flight to Brisbane.
There are several risks associated with renting this property that are not adequately explained.
Beware of the weather and the associated support.

A quiet, spacious, spectacularly beautiful part of the world!
The house is roomy and the facilities are plentiful for a group or family getaway. It is true that a second toilet would be handy., but we made the best of our weekend anyway.
