Viaje super agradable de Semana Santa 28 al 31 de marzo 2024

Es un punto estratégico para conocer parte de la Península de Nicoya, desde Playa Naranjo hasta el Parque Nacional Cabo Blanco, esta cerca de Playa Blanca, playa Liona, Playa Órganos que son playas muy calmadas sin oleaje y sin corrientes marinas especialmente para ir con niños (as) e igualmente con familiares y seres queridos, además esta cerca de Playa Montezuma (es bonito hacer la caminata de pasar en playa en playa que se pasa por un camino entre las montañas, y luego caminar 4 playas se encuentra playa hermosa, apenas para aprender a surfear sin ningun problema, playa calmada y con aguas cristalinas); Mal País, Playa Santa Teresa para los que quieran hacer surfing y tranquilidad con los lugareños que todos (as) son personas muy amables. Adicionalmente tienen una soda de comidas rápidas bastante variadas el menú y cocinan demasiado rico y los anfitriones son muy atentos y cordiales (Darliz y la mamá). Antes de reservar habían leído varios comentarios negativos, pero al final siento que fue mala fe del ser humano que puso ese comentarios. Volvería a hospedarme nuevamente.

La verdad todo estuvo bien y no tengo ningún comentario negativo del lugar. Todo fue positivo y muy agradable, volvería nuevamente a hospedarme.

Comodo alloggia alle porte di Paquera

La struttura è in un'ottima posizione a 3 minuti in auto dal centro di Paquera e comodissima per raggiungere sia il porto di Paquera sia la splendida Playa Organos da cui parte il tour per Isla Tortuga. La camera è molto pulita, spaziosa e dotata di aria condizionata. Il bagno è ampio e comodo con acqua calda. Personale disponibile.

Budget friendly and clean

Priced right in the area we wanted to be. Room was nicely air conditioned on arrival! Room was clean. Cute pool.

Comfortable, friendly place to stay near the ferry and Isla Tortuga trips.

The fresh coffee made for me for free while I was working in the mornings was much appreciated! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even with the language barrier. I would stay here again over anywhere else in the area.

Administradora es matonezca

Ubicación.

He viajado mucho y siempre uso booking, con buenas referencias de mi parte. En esta oportunidad La desatención vivida, hace peligroso quedarse acá, si llegase a ocurrir algún inconveniente. Primero la atención de recepción es de 07-22 hrs, luego de eso no queda nadie que pueda ayudar. El día que nos quedamos, un auto destruyo un sistema de agua del hotel provocando la salida de agua a “destajo” desde una matriz y con ello la perdida de agua en un “bloque” completo de 4 departamentos, lo que significaba además la perdida del sistema sanitario entre otros. Se aviso al “numero de emergencia” a las 22:30 y refieren que no pueden “hacer nada, que ellos no reparan llaves” y que el problema del “agua no era de ellos”. Se insiste de nuestra parte que es un sistema básico (el agua) por el cual pagamos y que si no están las condiciones, preferíamos irnos toda vez que habíamos hecho el check in a las 19 hrs (llevábamos en el hotel solo 03 hrs). Se consulta por devolución del dinero, a lo cual refieren que “no harán nada” y a pesar de toda la insistencia, solo se reciben por parte del administrador respuestas con “tonos irónicos y risas”. Al exponernos a eso colgamos el telefono, aludiendo que “el lugar así era un asco y no nos podíamos quedar”. Mientras buscábamos lugar para irnos (asumiendo la perdida del dinero), llega la administradora a las 01 de la madrugada, nos toca la puerta con prepotencia y se pone a discutir “desaforadamente” despertando a todo el mundo , entre ellos nuestro niños pequeños. Nos insulta descaradamente y nos acusa de cosas que no corresponden. Al señalar que la íbamos a denunciar a policía local o instancias similares bajan el tono y se retiran del lugar. Realmente actos matonezcos como estos y la prepotencia vivida por parte de la administradora es algo bajo, decepcionante y repudiable

Amazing place if you want a nice room with good wifi, hot water, pool, easy parking and check in!

We loved the little pool, the hot water, the friendly staff, the nice pillows, how clean the rooms were, easy parking, great wifi, and the easy check in with the passcode locks! We also really appreciate being able to check in early. Would definitely stay here again!

The TV was a little small!

Perfect for what I needed. Clean, safe, and great location. I saw loads of humming birds right outside my room, beautiful! Read the description, this place is exactly as it says but better I would say!

Very good

Very close to ferry & evening bioluminescence tour. Very clean, ac was cold, good TV, fairly good wifi, a place to sit outside & eat. Local feeling as opposed to upscale touristy. Across from a small park & our room off the road a little bit. Very very basic as it states in description. Felt safe.

No cups to drink water.. Beds & pillows lumpy. No light by bed.

Basic, tatty, in need of redecoration

Lots of pre-arrival information regarding tours and the local area. Very basic, no frills accommodation. Morning cleaning lady was friendly. Easy location for morning ferry.

Our room was very tatty. Owner makes it clear that this is no frills accommodation but some attention to decor is very much needed. Pool area is scruffy. There was a bin full of beer cans outside our room. Quite a bit of noise from the road so ear plugs recommended. Bed was extremely uncomfortable with plastic mattress protector which you end up getting stuck to in the night. Electrics looked unsafe with duct tape and sign to keep children away. Random, tatty labels on the wall. Rather brusque welcome when we arrived at 8pm. Have paid the same price for much nicer places in Costa Rica.

Adequate accommodation

The room was of a decent size and there was furniture to store suitcases on (though no suitcase racks). The room was mostly clean, apart from a few small stains and a bit of dust under beds. Beds were reasonably comfortable and the owners obviously take care to look after the mattresses using covers and protectors. Good and clean pillows. The towels were fresh and soft. The are sockets and USB by the bed. The air conditioning was really good: powerful and quiet enough to not wake us. The room felt secure. WiFi was decent. It is a short 15 minute walk to town and across the road from a bus stop to go to or from the ferry.

Receiving a message before arrival reminding guests to rate the hotel 'as described' is not useful. It is not possible to describe or show all the things travellers are looking for at the point of booking, and still other things - such as noise levels, bed comfort, cleanliness or room temperature - are highly subjective and based on a range of experience. In truth, this is a pretty good hotel for the price, with some of the things we really like to see. The things that were less to our satisfaction were the very low shower pressure; it was decent cold, but not hot. The shower gel holders could have more attention to detail with cleaning and it needs a shelf for toiletries. A separate bin in the room would be good. The furniture and ambience was a bit dated, but I am sure this will be improved over time.

Good stay for one night, with great location for Bioluminescence. The apartment is big and clean.has a fridge to store breakfast. the water in the shower was very low pressure and cold. The ferry is a couple of minutes down the road. its low budget but comfortable. usb spots are useful. bed was comfy

its an older building, may could hear your neighbors. bring your earplugs if needed.

this family owned hotel had a fantastic room for us. clean and comfortable. lots of space for our luggage and close to both the ferry to puntarenas and the carù reservation. the staff was really helpful!

Basic but adequate cheap and practical. Noisey trucks during the day but quiet at night. Mapi organized taxis and whatever we needed. Iether get an upstairs room or make sure nobody is above you as you can hear their every step..

What we expected and more.

The ease to do the check in and check out. The friendliness of the staff, always open to help. The location was ideal for our travel for the next day to Isla Tortuga and Playa Tambor.

Great stay for one night, with good location. The apartment was clean. The ferry is a couple of mins away down the road. Parking is right in front of the apartments.

The lock of the apartment was equipped with a keypad, but the whole lock and doorknob looked like it could be ripped out with a stronger pull.

The location was very convenient close to the beach, bioluminescent tours, restaurants and the ferry. Easy check in and staff gave great suggestions for things to do in the area.

A great budget stay

Mapi's is a budget accommodation. That said, rooms were clean, air con good and wi fi was amongst the best we have had during our stay in Costa Rica. They also have cable - first time in our 14 nights here it is located in Paquera, so there are restaurants nearby. It is situated on main road to ferry so can be a bit noisy. Nilda suggested earplugs, I was a bit alarmed but I really didn't need to be. I took earplugs. The beds were comfortable. The reception staff and customer service provided by owner was outstanding. We booked there because it was close to geco bioluminescence tour. I was apprehensive about the roads to tour and also about booking Mapi's budget accommodation but everything was really good. Would I stay again..yes I would!

The office area and pool could do with some work . I'd suggest updating if they can.
