Stayed for two nights, easy to get to from Anchorage and lots of local hiking and exploring options.

The posting is inaccurate. It states a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom laudry on site. There was only 1 bedroom with 2 beds in it. The other bedroom was padlocked so we could not enter. There was no laundry. The furnishings and decor are very dated. The beds sagged and were uncomfortable. Definitely would not recommend.

Loved staying at the chalet! Very clean and loved all the little touches♥ Beautiful View to wake up to close enough to town but far enough for seclusion.

Very nice place for a few days in Girdwood

Perfect little spot just a couple of miles from town. Everything was clean and well kept, heat and WiFi worked great. Tub was an added bonus. Will come back sometime soon!

Super clean, good coffee, cozy environment, and wonderful for my pup but the 10am check out absolutely sucks. :-)

Absolutely loved the toy basket for our dog, nice, warm, cozy and clean, but can’t check in until 4 PM and have to leave by 10 AM really sucks.

Nice place on outskirts of town, towel holders in upper bathroom were falling off the wall, bed was comfortable, really nice to have the barbecue on the deck to use, quiet neighborhood, only downside was your close to turnagain arm and the train blowing its whistle woke me up unexpectedly.

This well loved cabin was great for the few nights we used it as a base to hike and explore the area. It is a bare-bones cabin - the two beds are located upstairs in the same room, which was hard to tell from the pictures. The kitchen had very minimal cooking gadgets and it would have been nice to have some coffee or cooking oil in the pantry. I could not locate a fan or hair dryer to help dry our wet socks after hiking. The house is dog friendly, and although we didn't have pets with us the carpet smelled like dog. It was a good spot for a quick stay, but I think could use some attention.

Loved that the train depot was literally around the corner! Maybe .4 miles. Walkable and there was even a shuttle there to take my family back to the chalet.

We really laid back at this house it was very comfortable and we actually watched TV for the first time on vacation. Great location, very clean and we had everything we needed. Wish I would have had time to enjoy the tub.

Low quality pillows, only 2 per bed (1 per person if you're sleeping 2 people). No washer or dryer access, super small TV that is not a smart TV. The sink upstairs was clogged the whole time and I couldn't get the manager on the phone or to respond to email.
The patio was great we enjoyed it every morning. Tons of parking even though we only had 1 car. I would not re-book this place.

clean place. quiet in woods. enough amenities. kitchen was great. Even had cooking oil. Didn't get a chance to use the patio, but it looks great to spend time on it. Perfect for either long or short stays. Price was reasonable.

This cabin was a great home base while we explored the turnagin arm area. Comfortable beds and a great table to gather around to make plans.

V. well equipped. Household supplies - dish soaps, hand soaps, initial coffee, full BBQ tank, etc. - provided.
Girdwood train depot in easy walking distance and because of GVT shuttle routing, shuttle on request, can pick-up at location.
Jetted-tub is indoors, not an outdoor hot tub, and was not used during our summer visit.
Bed arrangements mean there are no closed-door bedrooms. While much more spacious, bed arrangements are akin to a two double-bed hotel room vs a two-bedroom chalet from a privacy perspective.
Property is optimal for a single couple or family of 4-5 with vehicle.
V. highly recommend this property. If we return to Girdwood, we would seek to book this property.

Girdwood: 10/10 would visit again.
Perfect place to stay while in Girdwood! This location would be great for either summer or winter travel. Place is packed with all the amenities and perfectly situated in the pines of Girdwood. We enjoyed the balcony with its generous views and felt like we had all the creature comforts of home. Will definitely keep an eye out for this chalet when we venture back to Alaska.

Weekend getaway with our dog
We enjoyed this home as a weekend getaway to ski and relax. Family of four, plus our dog - who enjoyed the basket of dog toys. Place was clean, kitchen stocked and we would stay again.

Weekend away
Our family of four + our dog enjoyed this property for our weekend getaway. We chose it because it allowed dogs and they even had a basket of toys for him. Place was nice, clean, kitchen well-stocked and we’d stay again.

Wonderful stay in the forest
Lovely chalet. We used to live down the street - love how quiet the neighborhood is, yet still easy access to the mountain. Very clean and kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Great Cabin in the Woods
My boyfriend, dog and I stayed at the Jewel Chalet for a few nights and it was perfect for us. It is a cozy little place, with a fireplace and huge front porch with hanging lights. We had a great time hanging out on the porch and playing cards. We had everything there that we needed and everything was perfectly cleaned for us. Girdwood is such a fun little town, and has tons of hikes and outdoor things to do not far away. We will definitely be staying here again!

Alaska Vacay
We enjoyed our stay in spite of a plumbing issue, we called and advised the local management of the issue and they promptly responded and addressed the issue and even gave us a rebate on our stay, well done Gridwood management! Over all the property is good, needs a bit of sprucing up but I would stay again.

We were only in town for 1 night.
The pull out was miserable. we were 2 couples and didn't mind the shared room but the poor guy on the sofa pull out did not sleep at all!
A jacuzzi tub should have bath oils and bubble bath. We bleached the tub to use it but it used all the hot water to fill it. Add oils and bubble bath and it would be worth it though. Not something most travel with.
I was happy with everything else. Great little town!

Nice stay
Great location close to the mountain for skiing and hiking. Spacious kitchen and living area with a gas fireplace that gives plenty of heat if needed. Great deck off the living room, we had breakfast there in the morning.
Upstairs sleeping quarters are really a loft with two beds (master bedroom is locked up for owner use I assume). Two Queen beds, was fine for us to stay a couple nights. Good size shower with strong water pressure.
House is a bit dated but everything in working order. Strong wifi.
Thank you for hosting us.

Girdwood
There was a lot of space in the living area, and big kitchen, always good to have a deck. Girdwood is gorgeous in the fall, so we wanted to take advantage of that and go hiking, also to enjoy the great restaurants nearby.

Roomy home near everything but with privacy
Great weekend stay. Very clean and comfortable. Only one sleeping space but has two queen beds in it if needed for a family. It’s newer to the management company so think it will just get better over time! Biggest thing was the kitchen needing to be more organized and having a few more pans. Could only find one smaller pan. It may have been buried in the cabinets but did not want to have to pull a bunch of stuff out to find it. A few more basics like more pot holders, pans, hand towels would be great. Pantry was great with some of the basics so you don’t have to pack them (salt, pepper, oil, etc).
Beds were very comfortable and deck was great with grill and patio furniture. We will definitely rent again. If they threw a hot tub on the deck, we’d necer leave!
