This condo is located in the popular Sunset Beach neighborhood of Treasure Island. It has 1-bedroom, 1-bath and a nicely equipped kitchen, no dishwasher. Nice tile throughout and comfortable tropical decor. There is a king bed in the bedroom. Coin operated washer/dryer on site. The living room is on the beach side of the condo and it has a large window facing the Gulf of Mexico. The view is fantastic! Free Internet service is available.

As being a new comer to your condo renting from VRBO we found it very difficult to access your building if it wasn’t for your cleaning staff, we would’ve been lost. Seeing as it it was a Sunday as we arrived. Nobody was on staff to answer our phone call. Prior to our stay. We did not receive any email. On how to receive our keys or access into our condo. Although once we found our place and understood how it works, it was lovely.

Location and beach were outstanding. The unit was dated and the decor was very eclectic. Looked like random purchases from a thrift store. Kitchen was not properly equipped. Sheets were like burlap. We had to go buy our own at Walmart. Overall, disappointing stay.

The property itself was in great shape but the location is what makes it paradise. The view from the bedroom is over Boca Ciega Bay toward South Pasadena and the living area faces the Gulf of Mexico. Great for sunrise and sunsets. Of course, it also has the wonderful beach sands of Sunset Beach for a mile in either direction.

Condo needs to be updated. Maintenance team did an outstanding job fixing several issues. Owner purchased a new king bed which is to big for the small bedroom. Condo was not clean along with some dishes. Bowl was cracked accross the bottom and was taped. Wall plugs were loose, disposal had a broken blade flying around when turned on. Owner had items stored in closet that took up space for my items. Screen door had paper stuffed in cracks around frame. CD player was broke. Maintenance fixed everything I reported. I don't recommend staying in this Condo 506 Sunset Chateau.

The room was adequate and fit our needs. Not many dishes but we ate out most everyday anyway. No dishwasher so I would have thought they would have left some dish soap. I loved how close it was to the beach. There are two elevators but only one was working and we were stuck in that one for about 20 minutes at one point. I did not like the shared balcony but we were fortunate to have good neighbors. We never used the pool since the ocean was very warm but the pool looked clean and well kept. Shell seeking was good as this area was less populated than the beaches to the north. Caddys on the beach was a short walk and had good food. Shopping in johns pass was fun. Many good restaurants to choose from.

Disappointed with lack of accommodation for more than one person.
Hideabed was broken and had not been fixed or replaced. My sister came to spend a few days with me and had to share the only bed with me. The solution was a blowup bed which was totally unacceptable. Both of us are in our 70’s and sleeping on the floor was not an option! I have requested some type of adjustment on the amount I paid for a condo that advertised as sleeping four people.

RED TIDE / Horrible Full Time Stay Owner
This was our worst beach vacation ever, mainly driven by the Red Tide that was present when we arrived. We got 1 beach day during our stay and that is only because we drove 2 hours south to find good water. The smell was horrible and even standing on the beach caused us to cough and of course we had to dodge the hundreds of dead fish on the beach. This was made worse by an owner who lives in his unit full time calling visitors horrible names in front of kids. This male appeared to stay drunk the entire week and didn't let up on calling everyone awful names. I know some vacationers did call the police on a couple of occasions. All this combined made for a horrible experience.

Overall, our stay was very good. The location was excellent! The amount of restaurants and stores in close proximity was very amenable. However, some of the HOA rules we weren’t that happy about but that is ok because it was only for a week that we stayed and the rules are the rules.

Lovely Beach Getaway
Location is great. You cannot beat the view. I really enjoyed the smaller size of the building, nothing felt overwhelming (in regards to parking, elevator, pool, beach etc). Checking in/ checking out offsite is not very ideal but it was manageable. The owner needs to make some updates, it would prohibit me from staying at this particular unit again. We don’t spend a lot of time in our room, but for the cost of staying a week it would be nice to have a more modernized space. A fresh coat of paint and the mirrored walls coming down would go a long way.

We have stayed in this area for several years and felt like we'd like to give this vacation rental resort a try. The location for access to some of our favorite entertainment is perfect; close enough to walk to, and far enough away to enjoy peaceful beach time. We were very please with the gulf view from our unit even though it has windows, rather than a sliding door. The view gives the feeling you're are sitting right on the beach, even on the 5th floor. The size of the unit was what we expected and for two people there was plenty of room for a two week stay. Everyone who we encountered as renters and owners we very friendly and welcoming, which was a nice change from some of the other locations we've stayed. All of the plumbing, a/c, lighting and other mechanicals were in fine working order. Here's what I found disappointing. When we first arrived and started unpacking some of our groceries and kitchen supplies, I found the inside of the cabinets needed cleaning (crumbs, splatters, etc.) and I ended up needing to wash all of the dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, and other items provided. Also, there were basic utensil needs that were not included in the kitchen, such as a can opener! There was only one serrated knife available for cutting anything beyond bread, no serving or mixing bowls, whisks and many other items were missing. The ice maker in the refrigerator was also not working, and the dishwasher did a terrible job of cleaning the dishes. In addition to the kitchen's lack of cleanliness, I pulled a blanket from the bedroom closet to use, and it had food stuck to it on several areas. All of the beach equipment contained in the utility closet was either broken or rusted so badly that they couldn't be used. That included the chairs that were provided to sit on the deck to overlook the beach.When we went to use the pool,there was a film of some type of oil(likely sunscreen)that was visible. Also, the bicycle rack was in need of replacement.

I wasn’t notified the pool was closed when I booked it. One of the elevators kept breaking. The photo doesn’t show you it isn’t a private balcony and I had noisy neighbors who got up early and went to bed late talking loudly. About 4 of them in sand condo. She left a chair out and I tripped on it. It was goid, but not great for the $ I paid off season. Rental agency was great! They were easy to work with and refunded me some money because if the pool. I would have rather had a pool and private balcony than the money.

Our vacation experience was good despite the Coronavirus. We felt that Resort Rentals could have been a little more forthcoming to our question before we arrived about whether the pool had any restrictions with regards to the Coronavirus activity. Additionally, only one of the 2 elevators was working the majority of our stay. Very Inconvenient!(which is really an issue that the HOA needs to address) Otherwise, it was a very nice stay, and the Resort Rental Staff was very responsive to any issues.
