Location
Nothing / all was great

Really nice and cosy apartment very clean and has everything you need. It feels like home . Nice view to river .Highly recommended great price for great service. Will definitely come back when travelling Inverness.
Clean tidy and have everything you need.

The flat is really well decorated and really clean. It’s in a really great locations with only a 30 minute walk down the river to the town centre.
The host was really lovely and gave really clear directions and the parking facilities were great too.
The only thing is the upstairs can be a bit noisy. People were definitely trying to be quiet but I think it’s just the way the building is insulated. I would bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
4.3
Nice welcome pack. Quick response by the owner for requested outside clothes drier. Narrow entrance for vehicles, but no problems getting a space.
Appliances were of good quality.
A deep clean, some TLC & rectification of faults would make this property so much nicer.
Living room/kitchen fire door was missing a seal (safety issue, would allow smoke into the only exit point in the event of a fire).
Oven badly needing a clean so we did not use it. Windows were dirty & some other areas needed a deep clean.
Bathroom door hinges were shot causing the door to hit the frame.
Heating was odd as it was only effective on the last 2 days of our 10 day stay.
A bit too far out to walk to town / amenities.
Noise from B&B breakfast room upstairs.
Overpriced for 1 bed, 1 bath apartment in that location. e.g. we usually book a 2 bed, 2 bathroom, with same or better facilities, walking distance to town/amenities for £50 a night less (was unavailable).
Previously reviews included some of these issues, but they have not been addressed.
4.3
The modernity of the decor and the cleanliness
The view onto the garden and river was spoiled by several washing lines and other miscellaneous eg gardening implements.
4.3
Everything in the apartment was first class. Full kitchen, with nespresso coffee machine and capsules, washing machine.
the drive is very narrow, we were told about this so we were prepared.

Nice bright apparent in a lovely quiet location
Parking access tricky.
Remote control needs new batteries.

Cold.
No hot water in the morning.

The lovely welcome tray with apples, crisps and shortbread was a lovely surprise. Good location for town.

It was very clean and comfortable. Nice treats on my arrival everything catered for. Location was about 20mins from centre of town a lovely walk along the riverside. Buses were available. Bus stop short distance from property

River view and evening sunlight were lovely! Lots of tea & coffee options, all the appliances we could need, really excellent shower! Location on a quiet road was great too, beautiful walk along the river straight into central Inverness.
The drive is pretty narrow which was a bit of pain to navigate, but we got used to folding in the door mirrors. Main bedroom was a bit chilly, even when it was warm outside.
4.3
The location was a little way out of town, however, walking into town, along side the river, was very enjoyable!

very clean and tidy
driveway was very tight

The apartment has just been renovated, with a very cool desing and everything that you might need during your stay (including a washing machine). It has some games (deck of cards and domino), which might come handy if it rains. The best part was the back yard, which ends in River Ness, with great views to the river and also, if you peek you can see the Ness Island. It is a 10-15 min walk to the city centre in a very nice neighbourhood.
Car parking is available at the back of the apartment, as well.

The modern renovations were very comfortable, warm and welcoming. All was as detailed, and then some extras, with coffee pods and local treats to made us feel we were experiencing true local hospitality. We would definitely recommend 42a by the River to anyone travelling to Inverness.

We thoroughly enjoyed the additional space the apartment provided. It was very clean, a large shower with awesome bath towels !! The kitchen is well designed and provided all one needs to dine in & keep your travel expenses low when it comes to meals. The bonus of a clothes washer was fantastic as that allowed us to not waste a day at a laundry. Should I again find myself in Inverness, my first choice will be Apartment 42A by the River.
Nothing at all !!!
4.3
It was a smart decorated home with a full range of functional facilities. All most everything needed for a relaxed weekend at home can be found there. Some of the welcoming details were: whole pack of shortbread, coffee pods with different flavours, branded shower gel, etc. The shower was the best thing of all. The host was very friendly and responsive.
1, It is located underneath a B&B therefore the sound of dragging suitcases and frequent foot steps could be heard both in the late night and early morning which was very annoying for people who want to have a good sleep. 2, the leg of sofa bed looked not very strong so I would not recommend adult to use it in case any movement might break it. 3, the drive to car park was a challenge to many as it is very very narrow. My car is Q3 and I only have about 3-4 inches on both side while I drove in, which made the in and out becoming a pain because of worrying car would be scratched.

Beautiful apartment in a great location. Walkable to town but very quiet location. Host left an incredible array of treats and beverages. Lovely stay
The B&B upstairs was quite noisy and we could hear them moving around at all hours of the night. The living room had a window without a shade or blind which made it difficult for the person sleeping in the sofa bed to sleep past sunrise at 0430
4.3
The coffee pods and coffee machine were a nice surprise!
We should have checked this before arriving but it would’ve been nice if small toiletries were provided (shampoo and shower gel). We aren’t complaining about this, it just would be a helpful touch for those travelling light.
4.3
Everything you need.
Slightly closer to town, the supposed 20 min walk to station is optimistic! Minor quibbles, the lighting in living room bit subdued, nothing over counter and be good addition to have shampoo/gel dispensers in shower, but these are all minor comments.
4.3
All the little comforts you need. Great view of the river in the back yard
