We had a family crew of close
to 20 people. We really enjoyed fishing off the pier, playing baseball in the big yard, kayaking out
to the open lake, and just hanging out in the open kitchen/living room. Would recommend for big groups. Great host, quick responses.

This house was great for housing a large group of people. We had 7 adults and 8 kids and all slept well.
Location was good, boat rental was easy.
The listing online needs some updating as the check out time is 11 not 12, the wifi codes are incorrect in the listing etc. but all minor things, we would definitely stay again.
4.7
The property was exactly as described and Jeff was a great host. Space is great and plenty of room for our party to spread out. Bonus was location next to the Sand Bar as we were able to drop our boat there and in less than a minute be at the house where we were able to keep it.

Weather at the lake is always unpredictable but my family and I had a great time despite some rain.
The house offers an open floor plan to allow large group gatherings on the main floor. The lower level has several rooms and game areas.
The decks on main and lower level offer great lake views and some privacy.
The lawn is huge - great for wiffel ball, croquet, bocce ball.
Great sunsets

Very kind host.

The cottage is just like pictures. Jeff was very attentive and let us drop off things early. We had 19 people stay one night. There is extra mattress and we brought a blow up one. The morning view is lovely. It was April so didn’t go into water. Used the fire pit for sing along w/ guitar. Will come back Tip: basement room with window is nice- quiet enough and best view of all the bedrooms. Front room big so everyone can hang! Thanks Jeff

We had about 20 extended family members for a winter get together, on a Saturday afternoon. The house met our needs perfectly- we made many great memories, shared across generations. Jeff was very easy to work with and communicative, u would recommend for anyone looking for an easy, chill time.

Owner was very responsive and welcoming upon arrival. The house itself is very open concept and ideal for the summertime where you aren’t spending a lot of time in the house.
The house itself, however, wasn’t ideal. The kitchen and main living room area are great. Improvements can be made in the living room where the tv doesn’t have basic cable and an outdated smart tv that really only works with the Roku ‘Live TV’ free channels that nobody watches. Bathrooms are littered with personal belongings in the closets, but towels for the showers are located out in the hallways. Refrigerator in the basement is filled with leftover food/venison in the freezer, which is odd. A lot of personal belongings and personal items, pictures of the owner and his family hang throughout the house. A fine house which was reasonably priced, but the vibe felt more like we were couch surfing in somebody else’s house rather than a welcoming vacation rental prepared for guests. Hot tub didn’t work, and the owner said he would notify his ‘hot tub guy’, but we never heard back. With kids in our family, the hot tub was the main reason we booked this house in the wintertime. I would probably decrease the price/night for future guests if the house is kept at this standard in the winter months.

Wonderful location directly on the water. Well stocked and clean. Great location for quality family time. Peaceful in the winter I bet it’s even more fun in the summer. Sandbar marina and restaurant right down the lake and they will deliver a rental pontoon. We will go back in the summer. Hot tub was very nice.

I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The house was spacious and had plenty of space for everyone. Jeff is a wonderful host. He was incredibly easy to work with!
4.7
If you are thinking about booking this place - do it! Especially for bigger groups, the price is worth it.
The main floor was big enough for all of us to hang out in and the lake view is *chefs kiss*. We will be back for another family reunion. Thank you Jeff!
4.7
The house was just as advertised. Perfect for a large group. The main floor kitchen and open family room was where we spent most of our indoor time. The game room was a lot of fun. Ping pong and foosball were very popular. The hot tub was a big hit and enjoyed by many in our group. We would definitely come back. Jeff, the host was very helpful.
4.7
This house worked great for our large group (17 total). The house had everything we needed. The best part of the property was the outdoor space from the elevated deck leading out to the dock. We spent the majority of the weekend outside and ventured out to the lake each day. Good communication with the owner leading up to and during our stay.
4.7
Very nice property, beautiful clean lake with good swimming and good fishing. Huge yard. Nice cold basement, great place to sleep in the summer. Very well stocked, owner, very helpful and knowledgeable giving good recommendations for the area. Had a pontoon boat delivered to the dock for the week, that was very easy.

Perfect place to stay for a surprise birthday weekend. We were able to utilize the game room, the kayaks and had a pontoon delivered. Jeff made communication easy and had us reach out with the any questions. Overall the place was clean, the outside furniture could use a wipe down or spray just cobwebs and such. We would would definitely stay again!

For a group of 12-14 with small children or 10-12 adults, this is a comfortable space with a large living room, a great view of the lake and dock access for boating. The area is nice with lot of small towns nearby and nice places to hike nearby
4.7
Convenient location from Chicago suburbs, lakefront with boat rental option, nice lake with good fishing, house was well equipped to meet most needs, home had good layout for dining and gatherings on main floor, with finished basement for additional entertaining and sleeping.

Perfect house to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends and family. The house has everything you need, fully equipped kitchen, towels, pillows, blankets if needed…games and a lot more, even a hot tub. The backyard and the view were amazing! The owner was very responsive and helpful . Our family and friends loved the house and had a great time! We highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

Great property filled with lots of amenities, activities and games. Jeff was a great host and really helpful

This house and location were just what we needed to celebrate a couple of our friends turning 40. The house had everything we needed to grill out and to cook food. The view was beautiful! We had a huge group and there was space for everyone to play games or sit around a chat. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. Everyone loved the house and we had a great time. We added more memories to our big list of group outings that we have all shared together. I highly recommend this house and location looking for a relaxing getaway.

Our family and friends had a Spring Break. Even our pets too! The lake is beautiful & the sunset is just breathtaking. Although it’s chilly outside, the Lake House has plenty of activities for all ages. We enjoyed the hot tub especially at night with spectacular sky full of stars. There’s not a thing that we need that isn’t in the house. Jeff made sure that we’re going to have a great time & he delivered.

Will come again

Took 14 people to stay at the lake house, we had a wonderful time. Location and house was perfect for our party. And Jeff (owner) was very responsive and helpful.
4.7
Awesome house, great locations and easy access to towns
4.7
Jeff was easy to communicate with and timely in his responses. We had a friend in a wheelchair so Jeff bought a moveable ramp so she could navigate the entrance. Downtown Richmond is quaint with good restaurants and downtown Lake Geneva is only 20 minutes away so it was an easy drive without having to deal with all the LG crowds.

Siblings together for a long weekend. It was fantastic! We all agreed we want to do it again next year! Thank you Jeff! Great host!

We stayed here for a friends bachelorette party. The house and the view were beautiful! Jeff was so helpful and responsive throughout the planning process and during our stay. The house has everything you need— dishes, spices, beds, linens, towels, blankets, etc. We all truly loved our stay here and it comfortably slept 16 adults without requiring anyone sleep on couches (although you definitely could as the couches were very comfortable!). Jeff also has a ton of outdoor materials. The kayaks were great and we used one of the grills. The backyard space was HUGE. I’d love to come back in the summer and spend more time outdoors. Thanks Jeff!

This is the second time we stayed in the Twin Lakes area. The house and the owner were terrific. House met all our needs and the family had fun. Thanks Jeff.
4.7
Our family had a great time relaxing at the Lakeview house. There were things for all ages to enjoy and places for a quiet retreat if you were looking for one. The house was clean, spaceous and well furnished. We hope to return next year.

A rough start got better as the owner/host (Jeff) was very responsive, but in the end too many issues outweighed the benefits for our group of 12 adults, 1 senior, and 5 kids.
Check-in was a fail when we didn't hear from Jeff until more than an hour after check-in time. Once we gained access, all the beds were stripped and unmade, and the floors were unclean. We learned the person hired to do the cleaning prior to our arrival had an emergency and was unable to complete the task. Jeff did provide us with a refund on the cleaning fees as well as the new linens, towels and pillows we purchased.
Other issues included birds nests (i.e. fire hazards) on electrical boxes and vents, weeks old mold and mildew in downstairs showers (which Jeff did clean with bleach after we reported), outdoor wood stairs broken railing loosely held together with duct tape (which almost created fall for 89 year old grandma), disorganized kitchen drawers with some serving items without liners, severely scratched kitchen pans, unusable rusted outdoor grills, rusted outdoor metal chair broke and nearly impaled one person (which Jeff came the next day to repair), kitchen sink tarnished enough we had to buy some plastic liners, unmaintained items at pier unsafe for children to be near, moldy old (owner's) food in downstairs refrigerator, and spider webs in areas one would assume are easy to access during routine cleaning.
The above issues caused four adults to leave for a nearby hotel the first night of our stay, and two others to leave for a hotel after three nights at the lake house. They did return during the day for family fun and activities, but were simply too uncomfortable to sleep over each night.
On the other hand, we all enjoyed beautiful western views and sunsets over the lake. The open air kitchen, living room and dining areas were great to get all of us to be in the same room. The house provided fairly reliable WiFi service (we had to reboot server once or twice during the week), and provided some great streaming options on the TV. We also enjoyed fun indoor and outdoor games that were provided, the kayaks and paddleboard, and enjoyed the overall quaintness and natural beauty of the Richmond, IL and Twin Lakes, WI areas.
Thus, if your group is relatively low maintenance and doesn't mind some unkept equipment or somewhat unsanitary conditions, then this could be considered an excellent choice. For those that have high sanitation standards, reconsider.

This property perfectly met all of our needs. We had a group of 14 celebrating my mother's 80th birthday. The home was spacious and had a very large sectional and other seating in the living room allowing all of us to easily be together. There is a very cool little bar and restaurant about 5 houses down the street. Jeff, the owner, was fully engaged and responsive. He also has a relationship with the boat store that delivered and picked up the pontoon boat we rented. We had one day that was a rainout and they waived all fees for that day ! Our only issues the temperature (very, very cold) in the lower levels, single ply toilet paper (c'mon at the ultra luxury rates charged 2 ply should be in the budget) and the fact there was no cable (he did have a ROKU box for Netflix, etc.).
Bottom line, place and location is great and would recommend to anyone considering this area.

Jeff was very easy to communicate with. Property matched online description/pics. Could have been cleaner when we arrived; likely left it cleaner than we received. Also one of the showers was broken, which challenged things a bit for our large group. But overall we enjoyed the stay, location, view, and local experiences.

We were there for my husband's 40th Birthday gathering. We had about 20 guests and there were plenty of beds & space for everyone. It was so nice to wake up to the sunrise. Jeff was very responsive and really nice. The hot tub was definitely a plus for the chilly nights. We had a great time. Looking forward to going back again.

Jeff was great about answer all of our questions, and the nature reserve a short walk away was so beautiful. Our group of 10 adults had a great time at Jeff's place and would definitely return!

The property was clean and well organized for a two night stay with some friends. Jeff was very responsive and helpful. The only bummer was that we were told a small fishing boat was available and ready for us, only to find out there wasnt one... Reallllll let down for the three of us that wanted to get up at dawn to go fishing 😢
