The location was great, AC worked fine, the staff was helpful.
It was pretty small, even by european standards. And the pictures on booking were kind of deceptive, it doesn’t have a view.

The location is INSANE. right on the beach. perfect if you want to go to cinque terre but you don’t want to shell out thousands of dollars. great for a couple. and the air conditioner is STRONG!!!!!!!!! the staff at the front are so amazingly kind.
the pillows on the bed are so thin it’s like not having a pillow at all.

Läget var bra, frukosten okej.
The service experience can be summarized as follows:
We arrived at the hotel and were very well received by a girl and a guy at the reception. So far we were satisfied. The next day, all water in the area stops working. So we couldn't shower, use our toilet or even wash our hands after a whole day at the beach. They then tell us the water will be back at 7 am the next morning.
Obviously this wasn’t what we hoped for so we went to the reception and the nightmare would turn out to continue. We were treated so horribly by a guy with Indian? origin. I have never ever been so frustrated with someone who should be trying to help us in such a situation? At first he didn't even want to give us a new towel when the cleaners forgot to change ours, and then all he could offer us was a bottle of water so we could "shower". "Not our fault was the only thing he could sneak out of his silent mouth"
We then contacted booking to see if we could book off this night and go to the next stop earlier instead and they were very helpful but unfortunately couldn't do anything else without the hotel's confirmation. Booking then contacted the hotel who never answered when they called or when they then emailed. I myself also sent a message directly to the accommodation and asked them to check their email, no reply. We were thus forced to stay because we paid just over 200 euros per night. Still no response 24 hours later. When we then checked out, they said absolutely nothing about the day before, but we didn't have to pay city tax of 8 euros.. Absolutely disgraceful.
PS: Not having access to a shower or toilet for a whole day can be a nightmare if it gets bad.

Room was clean and air conditioned. Staff fabulous and very helpful.
The bed had an air mattress, which was not very comfortable. You could hear the plastic when you moved.

Breakfast is basic but it was perfect for us.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Zero stars, if possible. I want to preface, this is the first time I’ve ever had to write a negative review, as I am not one to typically do so, at all. But this was truly the absolute worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and I do not want anyone wasting their hard-earned money to stay at such a wretched place. ***First and foremost, the staff were extremely rude & unpleasant to me and to the two other people of color I witnessed staying there - completely different from how I saw them with all other non-BIPOC guests. I really hate to insinuate anything so strongly - but one could only infer as to why that was.*** I have stayed in dozens upon dozens of hotels all throughout Italy & Europe as a whole - I’ve never experienced such treatment.
I tried to take it in stride, as I was only there 1 night for work and didn’t want it to mar my trip. After continuing to deal with their short, demeaning & insulting behavior, I was taken to my room, when I realized **the AC wasn’t working - and it was 99 degrees Fahrenheit outside. At first, they did nothing, told me all other rooms were booked out and there was nothing they could do. I explained that this was unacceptable and that a room shouldn’t be rented out if not working as advertised; and that I have very severe asthma, which made it a literal health risk for me. So after literally pleading for almost 4+ hours (all other hotels were booked, so I had no choice), someone finally came to fix it; but only after I had to literally beg, which I shouldn’t have had to resort to regardless. In the meantime, I missed my work dinner (the entire reason for my trip) and the 1 night I had in Cinque Terre, all as a result of their facilities not working as advertised, and zero initial effort to help; all the while being treated as if I had caused the issue and were somehow putting them out by asking them to fix it.
(Continued from above) - and rudeness.
On top of all of this - ***the room itself was not clean at all, sheets and towels were clearly used and musty - even the trash hadn’t been emptied from the prior inhabitant!!! Unreal.***
I requested to speak to Management who literally ignored my request and was refused; so I followed up when back home, and they not only offered zero compensation in any form, not even a single apology nor any accountability taken for their horrid service (or lack thereof) and hotel - they then had the audacity to condescendingly tell me verbatim “if you had such a problem, leave a review.” So here we are.
There are plenty of other clean, hygienic, better priced and non-discriminatory hotels in the area to choose from - please avoid this place at all costs.

room size but not an issue

Everything! the location, the price, and that we even had an sea view from our window.
That there was no elevator to our third floor unit. There was a multitude of renovations going on in the building, and unfortunately we didn’t get a unit with a balcony.

Staff were brilliant. Really helpful. Helped me plan my itinerary, made recommendations, etc. When I checked out they let me leave my luggage so I could explore the town that morning and have a last swim in the sea.
Room was clean and comfortable with a balcony and a sea view.
Being v close to the train station I could sometimes hear the trains. But it didn't keep me awake. A minor thing

The breakfast was amazing. The daily house keeping was very thorough in cleaning and tidying up. The staff were extremely friendly.
We were aware the lodging was an add-on without an elevator. However, the walk up to the room get unfinished. There was exposed wiring on the wall and on the floor. And the room itself, while clean, needed major improvements. The biggest problem was the plumbing. The drainage in our bathroom was so bad that every time the bathroom door was closed for a period of time and we reentered, we’d be hit with a sewage smell. There was an air freshener tucked away on top of the wardrobe but it didn’t get rid of the smell. The bed was not comfortable and we were given two pillows which were both different and old - one was extremely lumpy. There were skid markings on the wall and the furniture was fabricated wood. E.g The desk’s leg shifted apart when we needed to move it to retrieve an item behind it. The electrical wiring was clearly a work in progress - for example, we inserted our keycard in a slot right inside the door when we were in the room to turn on the lights, but what we found out by trial was that the refrigerator also turns off if the keycard isn’t in the slot! So the mini fridge is basically unusable. In the bathroom, the waterproof seal on the shower door is peeling off and there is a tile missing in the wall tile. Minor things, but not what we expected for the price we paid.
We knew the room would be basic, but the state of the walk up combined with the “used” feel of the room really put a damper on the romantic vibes of our vacation. This room should not be used by the hotel until they can make some improvements. The cleaning service was very thorough though, even though the room itself needs improvements.

The breakfast was great! Nice spread of items that looked appealing. The reception person was really friendly and even suggested a great dinner spot and then got us a reservation that same evening, when we were tired and hadn't even asked about dining options nearby yet.
The view from our room was great, and the room was very clean. The air conditioning worked well. The shower was easy to use and had pressure.
The bed and pillow are hard, and only a thin sheet and light coverlet meant we were cold. Would have liked some more bedding. There is nowhere to store items in the bathroom other than the sink area, a shelf would be nice.
