Amazing location, really cosy family home that felt very welcoming. Facilities very suitable for our needs and felt very roomy. Lovely kitchen table to talk at at the end of the day and a really nice family ambience.
3.5
Excellent location, kitchen and garden both lovely and well equipped, comfortable beds and easy key arrangements. Perfect for us as a family of four for a short stay.
The layout - with the 4th bedroom only accessible through the 3rd - worked fine for us as a family but the rooms were sparsely furnished with only one wardrobe, so not much storage space, maybe tricky for a longer stay.
As other reviewers have said, the family photos and other personal items felt a bit intrusive. The armchairs in the lounge were uncomfortable (whereas the kitchen ones were lovely - maybe swap them?) The upstairs windows did open but were heavy and hard to close. The floors were very creaky and the plug in the bathtub didn’t fit properly so made for a quick bath!

Lovely large housr
Access to one of the bedrooms was through another- not in the description

The house was bright and clean. The bedrooms were comfortable. The facilities excellent.

Excellent location, helpful host answering questions. Really good that the kitchen was stocked with useful bits and pieces.
‘Didn’t like’ is a bit extreme but some of the floors creaked a lot, especially the stairs so if you were last to bed there was no hope of tip-toeing up.

Beautiful house in fantastic location.
4.0
very welcoming feel to the house and really comfortable beds
excellent position close to town and beach and easy to park
minor points - but very small old TV with free view only (that wasn’t a problem for us)
toaster only takes very thin bread !
the upstairs windows don’t open at all - not a problem for us as it’s winter but could be in the summer

The location was very good as only less 5 minutes walk to the high street and easy access to the beach. The house had lots of space and the beds were overall comfortable. The Wi-Fi was very reliable and fast.
The kitchen overall was the main let down. When we arrived into the property there were 3 large flies in the kitchen - as the property had been fully locked up these flies must have been there since the last people to enter the house and it wasn’t thought to try to get rid of them beforehand. There were also no basics in the kitchen like tea, coffee, sugar or pepper which we have always found as a minimum at other home stays. There were things like salt, a small amount of cooking oil and even a jar of cinnamon but it is obvious that these have been left behind by previous residents. The kitchen was rather disorganised meaning it took some time to work out where everything is. There were dirty cooking aprons hanging at the kitchen door which had not been washed at all after use.
I would agree with what previous reviewers have mentioned that there were far too many personal photos in nearly all the rooms including the main bathroom to make you feel truly comfortable staying.
Lastly our check-out time was 10am which we had planned our morning accordingly to ensure that we would be prepared to leave on time. At 9:40am the cleaners rang at the door asking if there was any possibility that they could come in to clean any of the rooms that we were no longer using. Although the cleaners were very polite and understanding and did say they would also be ok to wait in their car until 10am it still caused us to end up rushing to leave due to the knowledge that people were in a hurry to enter the house.

Location was great. Very near to the high street and restaurants. Dog walking to Thorpeness was enjoyable with no gradients to climb.
Bedroom sash windows were jammed and extremely difficult to open/shut. Also, the central heating thermastat didn't work. The house was boiling hot when we arrived and individual thermostatic radiator valves did not work. The choice was to have the heating on and then turn it off when it got too hot.

Have rented many houses in Aldeburgh and this was a really good size house in a prime location. Kitchen was well equipped. Court yard was a lovely sun trap.
House accomodates 8 but seating in the lounge was insufficient. Comfortable 2 seater settee but 2 arm chairs have seen better days and need replacing. Window seat not considered seating to relax in.

Location, equipment and comfy bedding
There was only one place to hang clothes, in a wardrobe in one of the smaller bedrooms. ( perhaps shaker style peg rails with hangers could be a solution)
Access to that bedroom was through another, fine for children , not so convenient for middle aged ladies!
There were 6 of us....to use two armchairs and a two seater sofa.
It’s obviously a family’s second home, with many of their possessions, we felt a bit intrusive.
4.5
Great location and comfortable home. Comfortable beds and bedding. Sunny garden.
Dirty plates in cupboard, sticky dining chairs, food spillages on white goods and grime. Cleaning overall needs improving. Also advertised as 2 double beds where there was only one. We were a family of couples not with children. Owners personal belongings everywhere including photos of their children on every wall, personal paperwork and bathroom cabinet with an old used toothbrush, hayfever tablets and sudocrem in.

The location was excellent. The house spacious with plenty of room for 4 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs
Only downside was the chairs in the lounge were incredibly uncomfortable. They need fixing or replacing.

Excellent location, just up the hill from the White Hart and the Adnams off licence.
Shame it did not have a car park, but we were able to park outside the house easily.

Great position, good parking, roomy ,comfortable beds, large kitchen
Sitting room needed an update small sofa, two old chairs and an uncomfortable window seat which wouldn’t have been adequate if fully occupied . Gas fire didn’t work. Only one proper wardrobe plus canvas hanging space to

The crockery could have been a bit cleaner, especially the glassware.
