About this cottage rental
Built around 1910, the fully renovated Redruth Cottage is located in the historic old heart of Port Elliot. Offering comfort, character and location, Redruth is perfect for a weekend break or week-long holiday. Whether you want a base for exploring the Fleurieu, or a place where you can simply relax and have all you need within easy walking distance, then Redruth is the ideal place for a break. Walk to the beach to swim in the clear cool waters of Horseshoe Bay or to the headland to watch the sunset over Encounter Bay. Cook yourself some comfort food or stroll to the Hotel Elliot, the Flying Fish Cafe or the famous Port Elliot Bakery. But most importantly, just relax and learn to enjoy and love this place as much as we do.
Located less than 75 minutes drive south of Adelaide, you are only a 4 minute walk from beautiful Horseshoe Bay - the best holiday beach on the south coast - and just one minute walk from cafes and restaurants. This fully appointed cottage comes complete with linen, a well stocked library and an extensive DVD collection: All you need to bring are your bathers and beach towel!
The cottage has three bedrooms: two with queen size beds (one with ensuite bathroom) and the third with two king-single beds. The large open plan living area leads onto a paved courtyard garden. Our cosy lounge room is the ideal place to curl up with a good book, and if you've had a day of hard exercise then feel free to soothe aching muscles in the spa bath.

Really really enjoyed the ambience of the cottage but it A lot of spiderwebs all over in every room on the ceilings and windows even at eyelevel in some windows. Dishwasher was had to work with missing Button. The DVD player wasn’t working, the tiles in the ensuite were broken….We still got to relax though. Beoutiful building if they address all problems above

The cottage is thoughtfully decorated with comfy beds and a lightfilled family room. A few mins walk to the beach, bakery and local shops. Hope to return.

A lovely central position so walking to the beach cafes or restaurants is easy.

Surprisingly spacious cottage. Delightfully decorated, with a Hampton/French Provincial styling.
The large extended addition on back of cottage with a cathedral style glass wall was a wow.
Susan’s decorating in all bedrooms rooms was fresh and clean.
All the little extras supplied for cooking were not forgotten.
The only small detail which was a problem for my husband, was the room to move in the ensuite bathroom.. He is very tall, and the ensuite was a bit wee.. but the main bathroom made up for it, as it was great.
Overall we enjoyed a short stay.. Loved how close we were to every amenity. And would definitely use Redruth Cottage on out next visit to Port Elliott ..Thankyou to our host Susan

Beautiful home with very comfortable beds and lounge furniture. Bathrooms and kitchen cupboards need a good clean. Lots of cobwebs. Crockery and linen were clean. Great location.

We had a lovely time walking and taking in the sea. We love the location of Redruth, so snug in the squally weather and had many coffees in the nearby cafes.

This property is in an excellent location to stroll around Pt. Elliot...
It is on the train line, but depending the time you go that can add to the experience as it is a tourist run train, seeing the trains of yesteryear. Not being a commercial train, there is no worries around noise or traffic.
People in the town are extremely friendly.

Great house with plenty of space for our girls weekend, everything we needed was there.
Close to everything, car not required all weekend.
Will definitely return
