This listing was spotlessly clean, had full amenities, and would be great for a family. We enjoyed going out in the kayaks and playing pool downstairs. It is a bit remote, but satisfied our need to get away from city life.

Melissa and John’s place was absolutely perfect. Everything that was needed was available and communication was great. They have an amazing secluded area with no other houses close by. They also have a nice game room in their basement that was perfect for a guys trip. I want to thank Melissa and John again for allowing me to stay at their retreat.

Great vacation. A little sketchy weather but we were able to get in the lake everyday. But if a steep climb but manageable from house to lake.
Used the kayaks kids enjoyed that.
Plenty of room for my family of 5 ( 4 adults and one teenager) and a beagle
House was great and kids were enjoying the pool table on the rainy portions.
All around great experience!
Hope to go back again in the future!

This is a wonderful property. Even with a couple of rainy days we enjoyed our stay here immensely. Very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed for a great trip.

We really enjoyed this home…..for our teenaged grandchildren there were plenty of boxed games, and the pool table was a big hit. The seating was great for relaxing and dining.

Overall this place was fantastic for our family of 4. Things we noted:
-The place was exceptionally clean and well stocked with more than most rentals when it comes to trash bags, cleaning supplies, paper goods, cookware and linens.
-There was a great game space in the basement area with pool table, ping pong , air hockey, extra TV and tons of board games. Our 9 and 11yo loved the basement area.
-Bedrooms were nice, master bed didn't really agree with my back, but not every bed is for everyone. Kids love the bunk room and said it was comfortable.
- Outside was a really nice fireplace with a stock of chopped wood that they let guests use.
- Lake was wonderful, quiet and very warm mid July. We had loads of fun swimming. There is a small dock and water mat in the water as well as chairs and a outside storage tub containing some water equipment including 4 water noodles and life vests. A major plus!
The one thing to note for anyone looking to rent this space that wants to use the water area is the path down is a small hike that could be very difficult for toddlers, older family members and anyone who is not sturdy on their feet. It's at about a 30-40 degree slope in some areas with rocks, stumps and roots that need to be avoided as you make your way. It took our family 5-10 min to make the trip one way. We managed just fine and it wouldn't deter us from renting here again, however for some it may not be ideal.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a lovely spot. I was a little concerned about the size of the pond being so small, but the water was great for swimming. We brought swim socks for the kids because they are not used to lake swimming—the socks helped a lot with the mucky bottom. My children loved the swimming pad. We all enjoyed the various boats and pool noodles available, and there is an island you can boat or swim out to but can’t walk around on.
The pool table, air hockey and ping pong are a great addition, and there are lots of games and books.
We loved the location and did some beautiful hikes during our stay. There is some road noise from the highway, but the loons help make up for that.
The hosts are responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

The cabin is well maintained. The owners have been doing updates to make the stay even more comfortable. The path to pond may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues, due to some tree rots and slight decline.
The location worked well to explore the white mountains and lakes of Maine.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We were centrally located to White Moutains, beaches, local hiking and of course, the ponds and lakes. Views are breathtaking. The unit was stocked with all the amenities that you need and had no issues using anything that we wanted. The pond was not as close as it appeared on the pictures, but was lovely. Thanks for sharing your spot!Molly Wagner & Greg Koppenhaver

My husband and I stayed here with our two (13 and 9) children for 4 days. The house had everything you could possibly need. We've been using VRBO for over tens years, this is the most thoughtfully stocked rental we've ever stayed in.

The location of the property was close to Bridgton center and all of our favorite places. The view of the pond from the back was beautiful and the home was super cozy. We appreciated the extra games available and the large dining table to gather at with family. I wish we stayed longer!

This hidden gem is first and foremost pristine clean.
The pictures depict exactly what the property looks like. It is quiet and has all the comforts of home. John is an amazing host and responded immediately to any inquiries I made to him. He kept in touch with valuable information prior to check in and was available with his contact phone number after check in.
Check in was very easy with keyless door code provided by John prior to check in. The detailed instructions of the home property were clearly outlined in his email regarding light switches and laundry facilities etc.
The game room was a blast, and we enjoyed the pool table every day.
One of the best highlights was being able to bring our dog. He enjoyed the property as much as we did.
The quaint town of Bridgton has a lot to offer with shops and great restaurants.
I highly recommend this property and owner.
Thank you, John, :) We would love to come back.

We did not want to leave this wonderful home. We were all actually sad. If we hadnt had tickets for another activity on our trip, we might have asked to stay here for the remainder of our New England trip. Traveling with my 78 year old father, he fell in love with the place and didnt want to leave. We ate in and he and my husband rested up watching their favorite horror movies. It was a much needed rest for us on our 12 day New England trip. Thank you to the hosts! Everything was perfect!

It was exactly as described. It rained the whole time we were there, so we didn’t get to enjoy the water as much as we would have liked, but it was really nice to just relax on the balcony and listen to the rain or play games. We would definitely come back.

My wife and I had an amazing week at the cabin on Beaver Pond. We were impressed with how clean the residence was as soon as we walked in the door. The fully stocked kitchen was great as well. We plan on coming back for more great fishing and relaxing.

The house was beautiful, very clean and very private. Great open floor plan. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes & cookware plus oils and spices. The furnishings were lovely and all very comfortable. John was responsive re: questions/concerns. The pond is lovely although a slight challenge with entering & exiting a kayak for a less than agile older adult.

We had such a blast staying at the cabin and swam every day. The kitchen has anything you could possibly need for cooking and grilling and the home was spotless. While the dock is a bit of a walk from the house, it is super private with canoes and kayaks to use. Our cat loved hanging out on the sun porch and we hope to come back in the future!
