A cidade é encantadora e a casa fica mesmo no centro histórico.

A localização é excelente, mesmo no centro da bonita cidade de Birgu. A atenção da Maria foi excecional, sempre disponível para resolver qualquer situação. Adoramos ter os mimos de boas vindas, água fresca, bolachas, pão, compotas e queijos e ainda umas guloseimas. Também foi disponibilizado shampoo, gel de banho, creme de mãos e outras pequenas coisas. Gostamos muito. Muito obrigado Maria.

Beautiful appartment in the heart of Birgu, full of character and history. Great host.

Maria was a fantastic host. She was available any time we had a question and answered our queries with great ease. She also made sure we felt welcomed with kind gesture such as gifts (sweets and some food in the fridge). The studio was full of character and formed part of a beautifully kept historic building in Birgu, just a 10mn ferry ride from Valetta.

appartamento fantastico!!!

letti molto comodi. il soffitto vi stupirà!!!! bellissima la vasca affianco al letto. cucina e bagno super attrezzati (in bagno c’erano anche i dischetti per struccarsi). terrazza a servizio di tutti i clienti davvero bella ed accogliente. anche la posizione é perfetta, infatti dopo una camminata di 5 minuti si giunge al porto, e con delle gondole per 2 euro a persona si raggiunge la capitale.

l’unica cosa ad averci turbato é stata che la carta igienica (ce ne erano 4 rotoli) erano completamente bagnati😭

Magical place to stay in Birgu

The apartment was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to get access to the apartment via a keypad on the front of the building. Once inside you could pick up you keys. The whole building is very tastefully decorated with a heritage feel. The apartment is very spacious with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There were nice touches such as lots of varieties of teas and coffee, bread and milk in the fridge and a selection of cakes on the dining table. The location is excellent, tucked away in a backstreet of Birgu but within a few minutes walk of the main square. I would highly recommend if you are thinking of staying in Birgu!

We had a wonderful time at Casa Cara highly recommend staying here!!

It was big and spacious with a really comfy bed, everything was great

Having to go to the loo downstairs in the night but that’s more about me than the property! :)

Nice apartment and great location

Great location (in three cities), near the ferry to Valetta and Gozo island. Maria was an excellent host, very helpful, polite and kind (always attending our requests). The apartment was spacious.

It could be more clean and the kitchen could have more utensils (quite difficult to cook simple meals).

Everything! It’s pretty cute city and the apartment just breathtaking. We’ve caught the celebration in the city, and when we came home there was a box on a tiny-tiny chair full of sweets. It was in the end our staying

Nice appartment in the heart of Birgu old centre. You get coffee and all necessity in the kitchen and also in the bathroom, as you would get in the hotel.

Fantastic views

Amazing views and perfect location, charming atmosphere all around, old streets and balconies. Close to main square with several cafes, as well as Ditch Gardens. Several minute-walk to sea-front with a small and authentic boat-taxi to Valletta (2 eur/person). The apartment was spacious with a balcony overlooking the Kalkara harbour. The host Maria was always in contact, trying to make our stay comfortable. Easy self check-in. Overall, good choice in Birgu for those looking for romantic atmosphere.

Although featuring amazing views, the terrace seemed to be unattended. The apartment looked a bit more worn out than in the pictures, but still nice and beautiful. Small tip: take slippers with you, or warm socks, the tile floors are extremely cold (or perhaps the host could kindly consider the idea of providing disposable slippers for the guests in future).

good base for exploring the island. close to everything but quiet to enjoy daily Maltese life.

loved the location in a quiet residential area. it had everything we needed and Maria even had toast and coffee ready for us to make our own breakfast. we used it as a base and were gone most days to explore the island. the bed was comfortable and the balcony and terrace had beautiful views.

old and very nice neighbourhood

no hot water; we contacted the owner, she sent somebody to fix it, but it didn’t help. we visited in january in cold time of the year, so this problem was very bad experience for us. also in the first floor cold is coming from the floors; you can warm rooms with air conditioner but then in the second floor is very hot and the first floor still cold, to sum up all the heat goes to the second floor. cleanliness also was not the best.

Superb

Amazing place with lots of wonderful details that made us feel at home. We had everything that we needed. The view from the balcony is very very nice. We definitely recommend!!! :)

Only thing that was a bit problematic is that the pressure of the water in the bathroom was not so good all the time, and the temperature of the water was not so comfortable; it was medium warm.

Beautiful location - Birgu

The location is amazing. the area (Birgu) is so beautiful. Best location to stay. In the apartment you have everything you need. Very well thought- thanks to Maria. Amazing view from the balcony

the shower water pressure was too weak, although the plumber tried to fix it. Also you can hear all notices from outside in the night. the noise isolation is not too good. the there was rust in the kettle, it’s should be replaced with a new one.

Brilliant Private Space

- Flexibility of check-in due to prior contact. - Keypad info given so checked-in without any hassle. - Maria, the owner, is amazing. Never met her in person, but communication was on point. My wife met her twice and fantastic feedback from the person that matters the most! 😉 - Kitchenette has good facilities. - Free water, bread, biscuits, tea making items, croissant etc - lovely nice touch. - Washing machine use, Maria allowed use of it and the dryer... mainly it’s for the Property use. - Excellent washroom

- Creaky sound due to floor-board in the suspended bedroom above the living room. Not so much not liking it, some people may not like it
