Superb

The location is near an area where there is a lot of food. I recommend the Oxxo coffee. There is a bakery next to the Oxxo. Just be prepared to drive a truck or an SUV because the roads are uneven. Also the water for the shower is salty, but it is still okay. Great prize for your buck!

Excellent stay with fantastic Family. Relaxed and worked at the same time.

Breakfast not included; only mentioning as that was question posed here, but was invited for lunch or dinner often; and not only was the food delicious; the company was excellent. A great Family runs this place. Description of place makes you feel you are closer to the water; which you are; but if you are without car, takes some hoofing on poor streets to get there. Once you learn the lay of the land, there are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby and Dave is always happy to drive you somewhere at a small fee when he has the time. Roads are dirty and bumpy around the house; so if you walk at night, be careful. There is public transportation at the end of the street that will take you to Centro; but never tried it; if you do; make sure you know how to get the bus back. Do not always listen to other reviews; though they all do say how nice the Family is and how good of a cook Dave's wife is; she has a beautiful name I can never remember. Once guy said potable water here; well; not really; but he gets you an inexpensive option. Another complains about a sewer stench; Dave has gone out of his way to fix, and truly no more. Room is comfortable. Small fridge. I wish a small kitchen; one cannot get everything they want. Sink area too small which makes shaving a pain. That being said, the good far outweighs the bad here. Love the Family and solitude here as I write. I will be back in less than a month. Ideal place to get work done!

if you want to, you can feel like a part of the family while you stay and if you don’t, your privacy will be respected

David and his family! Kind and welcoming. had the opportunity to enjoy a home cooked dinner with them. Also, great practicing my Spanish, and helping David practice his English a bit. Was able to get some nice recommendations for food as well as info about Baja further South. private bathroom very economical comfy bed access to free, potable water near good restaurants grocery stores, panaderías, etc nice, clean home

The shower water left my hair feeling more dirty/rough and greasy than before (I guess it has some salt in it). I didn’t feel unsafe in the neighborhood, but it’s certainly a bit dirty. I don’t care much about the mess except for having to see two dead dogs rotting along the streets. Not surprising since there are so many running around (they’ll bark at you but are so friendly and sweet if you take a bit of time to let them get comfortable with you). I don’t mean to judge… this is a different country from mine and surely there are more compelling issues to pursue than this, but a heads up to what you may come across. Was given a Jesus pamphlet upon leaving. It was done with the best intentions, I don’t doubt. I just didn’t come to be proselytized. House could be rather cold (February), at times had to wear my jacket around inside

I absolutely loved my stay here! David and Coral are wonderful hosts and made me feel welcome as part of their family! Coral is a great cook, I highly recommend having some meals there with the family. I'll definitely be back!

Comfortable and Accommodating

David is very welcoming and helpful. My stay was very comfortable, the house is very clean and close to the beach and restaurants. Would highly recommend staying in this home!

A very comfortable stay at a friendly Ensenada family’s home

The room and bed was very comfortable, and the owners David and Coral treated me very warmly. They were helpful, providing suggestions on what to see in the area, where to eat, and driving me a local grocery store. I felt safe at their home.

The airbnb is a bit far from downtown, but the public transport stops just a few feet away from their home, which is convenient. One problem which is true of most AirBnBs in Ensenada: many people in the city of Ensenada own dogs, who occasionally bark late at night when the neighbors walk by outside. I solved this by buying earplugs but on most nights even that is unnecessary.
