About this cabin rental
Enjoy a fun family cabin near the West entrance to Yellowstone National Part and the fun town of West Yellowstone.
Perfect for family reunions or a fun get away with family and friends. The cabin is on a wooded acre of land for fun outside play.
The cabin has 4 bedrooms with either a queen or double bed in each. The 5th bedroom is a large loft that has 5 single beds along with a double bed. We have found that kids love to stay together in the loft and can be heard giggling and talking for hours. We have a pack and play along with a highchair in case you are traveling with an infant.
If you plan on cooking at the cabin, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, eating utensils and place settings for 14. There are small appliances for you to use including, crock pots (large and small), hand mixer, blender, griddle, coffee maker and toaster in addition to a propane grill on the front deck. The cupboards have basic cooking supplies such as sugar, flour, salt baking soda and a variety of spices.
There is a game closet filled with games, puzzles, movies and children's toys in case of inclement weather or if you chose to spend a day around the cabin. The washer and Dryer are there for your use and detergent is provided along with an ironing board and iron.
You will have the entire cabin to yourselves when you book this property including the fun outdoor amenities. The fire pit is available for your use. Firewood is not provided but can be purchased locally. There is a picnic area with outdoor seating including a porch swing.
There are many squirrels and chipmunks at the cabin who love to eat peanuts. We will leave you a jar of peanuts in shells you can put along the top railing of the front porch. It is fun to watch them through the big windows as they enjoy a tasty treat. There are also birds of many varieties in Island Park. We have bird feeders hanging in the trees in front of the cabin. There are bird books to use as a reference so you can identify the different species that you see. From time to time we have seen fox, deer, antelope, Elk and occasionally a moose wonder by.
The cabin is in a wonderful location. The trout fishing on Henry's lake is some of the best in the world. Twenty miles to the North is the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park and the fun town of West Yellowstone where you can enjoy the Yellowstone Museum, IMAX theater, tons of souvenir shopping, and even take in a show at the Play-Mill Theater. Just 10 miles to the South is Mack's Inn where you can float the river or go to Big Springs where you can see the springs at the head of the snake river and view huge trout in crystal clear water. If you choose to eat out there are many good restaurants in both Island park and West Yellowstone.
There is no public transportation in the Island Park/West Yellowstone area. Personal vehicles are the best way to get around. Many people enjoy boating, 4-wheeling, hiking trails and even biking through the national parks. There are many rental shops in the area where you can rent everything from canoes and boats to ATV's and bikes.

We loved this place! Enjoyed our stay and the beautiful scenery getting there. We appreciated the extra device charging cords and the instructions for everything. Thank you!

The cabin was perfect for our group of 9! The owners were so accommodating. The cabin had everything we needed plus some. The backyard was very peaceful. A quick 20 minute drive to West Yellowstone. It’s the perfect distance for feeling like you are secluded in the woods, but also not too far from restaurants, shops, and other activities. Would highly recommend!!

The property was set up so well! Outdoor games, fire pit, games and blankets inside, and a well organized binder to answer any questions you might have. Trish was friendly and informative- a great host! It is a beautiful location. The kids loved exploring the property. And it was a great home base for our week in Yellowstone! Highly recommend!

My grandchildren loved this cabin in the woods!
I wish it’d been 15-20 min. closer to the West Yellowstone entrance. It took nearly 25-30 min. driving time to get to the entrance to the Park.

Rode from Michigan on motorcycles with friends and needed a home base near Yellowstone. LOVED it! Great cabin for our group. Plenty of rooms and beds. We enjoyed making breakfasts and suppers in the fully stocked kitchen! Felt very relaxed after our long rides on the couches and recliners. It’ll probably be awhile til we’re out that way again but this cabin will be our first call!

We had a great time at the cabin, excellent location close to Yellowstone

Overall Satisfied
The rooms were very small except for the loft. Mattresses all need replacing or upgraded for comfort. The house needs updating completely. Checkin and checkout was very easy, which was so helpful! And the location is amazing! The hosts were awesome to work with and very accommodating with every request. Couldn’t find nicer people to work with!

Cozy and convenient
Excellent location as a home base for exploring Yellowstone.

The property was perfect for everything we needed. About 20 minutes to west Yellowstone, 2.5 hours to the Grand Tetons, and near the Gallatin National Forest, the Madison River, and the beautiful Henry’s Lake. We had a large group (10 adults 4 children) and never felt cramped or over crowded. The first three days a momma moose and her calf frequented the back yard and we named her “Betty”! Saw squirrels and foxes and birds all from the back yard. Area cows grazed and provided some fishing right on the Henry’s Lake outlet. Caught a nice sucker fish! Would definitely recommend. The owners were super communicative and friendly, the cabin was clean and comfortable, and we had an absolute blast. Thank you Trish and Kevin!

Way better than a hotel stay
This was my 4th visit to Yellowstone, but my 1st time staying in a cabin vs hotel room. This was soooo much better. Loved being in the woods, and seeing deer, and birds and squirrels. Comforts of home and space for everyone to chill. Comfortable furniture and a well stocked kitchen made it easy to relax. I'm a fan!

Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time! Very first family vacation with all my grown children their spises and my fabulous grandchikdren. The cabin was well stocked, we even had a welcome badket with treats. Everything was great. We encountered no problems at all. Communication was open. I feel bad I never really thanked them. We had hoped to see some more wildlife come through but all in all a great experience. We did feed the chipmunks and squirrels and they were fun to watch. I highly recommed this property for families. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy. We had 6 adults and 5 under 15. It worked out beautifully.

Great location to Yellowstone! Cabin in the woods is peaceful. Floors were a little squeaky for the 2 downstairs bedrooms but we were so tired it didn’t really bother us!! Would stay again 😁

The Waterhouse
That’s what my daughter called, though the property is not directly on the lake. We still had a fabulous time. We enjoyed the squirrels, chipmunks, birds and deer that came into the back yard! Don’t rent this property if you are looking for modern or fancy, but if you are looking for a well kept old cabin in the woods with lots of space this is the property! We would definitely rent this property again. The host were kind and responded quickly. We loved everything about this property. We even saw moose at the beginning of the road one night.

Great place to stay and everything in the cabin was well stocked. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen had everything to cook with.
It is tucked away in the woods but there are quite a few neighbors close by but everyone was friendly. The river/lake is right across the street but all the docs are private and not accessible. Overall we had a great family vacation! Thanks

This cabin had all we needed and more, they thought of everything. It is well maintained, clean and in a pretty setting in the trees. It truly was the ideal cabin rental! Located close to West Yellowstone, we used the cabin as a home base and it was perfect. Feeding the squirrels was a blast for the kiddos. Ample games/puzzles were also a lot of fun. Beds are comfortable, kitchen fully functional and all around a comfortable place.

Great Location!
An older property with a rustic, family feel. The hosts were tremendously gracious and helpful. You can easily hit W. Yellowstone, Island Park, Big Sky, Cliff Lake via your car. The Henry's Fork river can be reached on foot. Quick note, light sleepers should sleep upstairs...the floors are creaky :)

Good value for price
Trish was very easy to work with. The place is clean and the outdoor area is really useful. The mattresses are not the most comfortable but everyone had a bed to sleep, no one was even on couch.

Great visit
Family of 14, wide range of ages. Everyone slept comfortably, and the kids loved the loft area. The adults appreciated the fully stocked kitchen- had everything we needed and more! We used this cabin as our base for three days in Yellowstone and the commute was perfect. Thanks again!

Yellowstone Hide away
We really enjoyed our stay. It was close to all the Yellowstone attractions and we especially liked seeing a fox and deer out the living room window. The house was well set up for our relaxing evenings

Comfy Camp
All eight of us enjoyed our vacation at this comfy camp. There was plenty of room and seating for eating, relaxing, and game playing. The backyard has a number of swings seats which are fun to use. There were lots of wildflowers out there as well as an outdoor fire pit which we did not use. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, spices. The owners were very accommodating in responding to our question about the availability of a cooler. They obtained a large cooler for us which was very useful. Our 10-year-old was delighted with feeding the squirrels the peanuts that were left for us to use. He made sure they had some every day. There were plenty of linens for in the house and for swimming. We felt this cabin really met our needs as a homebase for visiting Yellowstone and the surrounding area.

Great cabin for families!
12 of us stayed. A mixture of adults and children, this cabin was perfect. Lots of room and a quick 20 minutes to Yellowstone National Park. Saw deer in the back yard and everyday while driving around. Even saw a moose in the water while floating down Big Springs.

Great Cabin
Great cozy property to stay at with a large group. The owners were amazing and took care of anything and everything we needed and then some. We would recommend staying here to others and enjoyed our stay. There isn’t a lot of things to do around the property, but the kids had fun playing games outside as well as feeding the squirrels. There were board games, card games, books and a few movies to help with entertainment away from the television too. Very nice and relaxing trip and all 16 of us enjoyed being together in one place.

Great cabin! Walk to the lake.
We stayed here for three nights over the 4th of July and couldn't be happier. Overall I would say the cabin was better then it looked in the pictures. We had 10 people and the cabin could have fit a lot more then that. Our kids loved the different colored beds in the loft and insisted on trying different colors every night. The walk to the lake was easy for us, but is kind of steep so someone with mobility issues could have problems getting down there. The cabin was very clean and communication with Tricia was great. I recommend both the cabin and the owner.

Perfect Family Cabin for a visit to Yellowstone National Park!!
Tricia and Kevin's family cabin is the perfect setting for a large family gathering. We stayed with 4 adults and 5 kids, and still had plenty of room. We hope to return with more of the family. The kids LOVED the loft so they could all stay together. The darling log dollhouse was a huge hit and the porch swing in the yard was lots of fun! The kitchen is very well stocked with plenty of cooking supplies. The washer and dryer are a nice bonus.
The location is perfect, in a quiet neighborhood, no traffic noise, 20 minutes from West Yellowstone and the Park, a minute's walk from Henrys Lake, very relaxing at the end of the day. And if you don 't feel like cooking there are some great restaurants in West Yellowstone which you pass right through to and from the Park.
We were fortunate to meet Trish and Kevin and their daughter when they arrived as we were leaving, the most gracious of hosts, as warm as their cabin. They were available by text or phone for any question we might have before or during our stay.
Our entire family LOVED this cabin and would absolutely stay here again. We only wish our stay could have been longer!
