Been here quite a few times given it’s close to relatives.
We know what to expect eg no breakfast facilities etc
Noisy construction work immediately adjacent where new Coop store being built. Even when finished this will change the whole dynamic of the accommodation

took our own continental breakfast and there is a table and chairs inside and out to dine from. there is a fridge in the room and it had bottled water in. kettle and selection of tea and coffee. nice shower room.
it was what we expected so we liked everything. it is in a nice quiet area.

it was all lovely

Beautiful room/small cottage in a row of very tastefully refurbished buildings. Very comfy bed, stylish bathroom, good access and car parking.
(Close by Little Black Dog Brewery and Taproom also excellent.)
Didn't engage with any staff at all or have any food so can't comment.
We were attending a wedding reception in the main hall, the path between the accommodation and the towers surely needs at least some basic lighting, the walk through the woods after dark will not suit all!

The room we had, had no catering facilities so we went out to The Peppered Pig which is close by for an evening meal and breakfast next day

absolutely immaculate throughout. The cottages are so cute and quirky.
we booked 2 cottages but it wasn’t clear or explained to us that we’d be in cottages around 4 mins walk from each other. sounds minor but the group felt so split. up.

very poor for the money
we had a very poor experience the light outside was
broken and kept flashing through the window all through
the night and woke us up 4 or 5 times and the in the morning
went to use the milk provided and was out of date so had
to go to the local shop and buy some more … the staff
told me that feedback would be given back to the staff looking
after the buildings but would have expected more back from
them for such a poor experience

The cottage was lovely, exactly what we needed for our visit.
Unfortunately there was an alarm in the cottage next door that was going off the entire night, so we had barely any sleep due to the alarm beeping continuously. If this hadn’t have happened then the stay would have been Fab! We got back to the cottage at approximately 9pm and the alarm was goi f on until 6.30am, it stopped for an hour and then started again!

Lovely decorated and finished room. We were here for a wedding so did not really get time to appreciate the room and location. I think we would return in the future to explore the local area. Did not really interact with the staff other than to get a code to access the cottage. Easy parking next to the cottage, and little outdoor space and table to enjoy the sunshine. Room has a wetroom for shower and toilet with all the basics you need.
No fridge in the room, which was not an issue for our 1 night stay, but would of found it inconvenient if I had been staying longer.
Unfortunate circumstance that the room/bedding was set up for winter weather but had been a really sunny day and mild night. Made the room a little stuffy and for a warm nights sleep as did not want to leave the ground level window open while we slept. which was the only cooling option and no spare bedding for milder weather.

Perfect location to stay for a wedding at Carlton Towers. 5 mins walk.
Cottage is really comfortable. Huge downstairs bathroom, cosy sitting room and 2 comfortable bedrooms upstairs. No kitchen or fridge. Kettle and tea/ coffee/ water provided. Lovely setting on edge of estate near Carlton pub and shop.
I didn’t have time to try the beautiful roll top bath. Wet room style shower very powerful but floor got rather sloppy so take care.
Head for Stapleton Cottages. This wasn’t on booking unless I missed it, but phone answered very quickly and directions given when we got lost.

The beds was very comfy and looked a lovely little cottage
Although the place was clean, there was lots of cobwebs around. No coat hangers available in the wardrobe, no fridge in room and no lighting on the 5-10 minute walk to the main house so was pitch black and had to use phone torches to be able to get there…unfortunately not good value overall for the money we paid.

Ideal for us as we wanted to be on the estate at Carlton Towers for a historic tour at 9am - that was the reason for our visit.
Cottage is in the estate/grounds of the house. Don’t know if you are allowed to walk in any of it - there wasn’t any information but worth a visit if it’s open. Cafe at vineyard was just further up the same track.
There was a cooker so we were able to cook a meal the night before & make breakfast before our visit. Enough cutlery & china crockery for 4 of us, although I think someone had pinched the saucers!
3 bedrooms so perfect for our needs - one small single & one double upstairs. A double off the living room (no separate door to that room)
Brilliant shower over the bath & lots of hot water.
Plenty of space to park.
Clean.
Lots of fluffy towels.
Not clear when booking which properties have which facilities, when we arrived this one was Parkgate Cottage 1 but I didn’t know that until I collected the key. All felt a bit vague.
Helpful information about how to find the property & key collection was only provided once I had asked - this would have been useful if sent automatically.
If we had stayed longer a table would have been handy, it stated that there was outside seating but there wasn’t. Plenty of space in courtyard for that & a shame that that space isn’t utilised further as it could be a real asset to the place.
Road is quite noisy but that’s not the fault of the property, just it’s location.
We sensed the accommodation would usually be used perhaps by wedding guests or those at events at Carlton Towers. As one night stays this place is perfect but it would be cramped for a holiday.

The room was lovely with a fab walk in shower & huge very comfortable bed
Outdoor patio furniture was advertised in the private courtyard but there was none ☹️ and it would have lovely to be able to sit out as the smell of the lavender was wonderful
Only 1 hanger in the wardrobe 🤷🏼♀️

I honestly can’t say anything good about this place
The place is awful.
The beds are really uncomfortable and rock hard.
The front room furniture is from a dolls house and pathetic.
The hot water packed up and we couldn’t get anyone to fix it as no one works after 6pm which is shocking.
We finally got a reply the next day.
Offered compensation but have yet to receive it.
Feel totally let down by the venue and Booking.com who promised the earth but did nothing.
I can honestly say this is the worst place I have ever stayed and would tell everyone not to stay here
