Een mooie Cottage met prima bedden en vriendelijke eigenaren

De Cottage ligt op een mooie locatie aan de rand van Bath met een mooi uitzicht op de landelijke omgeving. Bij aankomst stond er een leuk verrassingspakket voor ons klaar wat wij erg waardeerden! Ter info, sommige navigatie systemen (als b.v. "maps") geeft de weg naar de locatie niet juist weer maar je krijgt van de eigenaren krijg je vooraf een prima beschrijving om de locatie te vinden. Een ander navigatie systeem dat we bij ons hadden (Tomtom) wist de locatie overigens wel goed te vinden.

Master bedroom door restrictive for room access. Central Heating took some time to understand.

Super cottage just outside the Bath city centre with a short walk to a direct bus route in

The cottage itself and the setting was lovely. The bus route in to the city centre was ideal.

It could have done with 2 full sofas. Lots of walking in the day requires everyone to be able to lay down :)

A very good stay. Very polity and really welcome hosts.

The kitchen was very well equipped with everything. Dishwasher was extremely useful.The burner was very nice and made the whole living space very warm. The beds very were comfortable and the view from really beautiful.

The bathroom needs to be remodernised. The shower is not very effective although there was very good hot water. For those who like bathing, it was very good, but for those who like showering it was not very practical. I would haev rated 10 out 10 in all categories if the bathroom had a better shower system.

Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing place to stay

Excellent location, lovely cottage, welcoming arrival with a fresh goody basket. Attentive and friendly owners without being intrusive. The scenery/surroundings are stunning, you wouldn't know you were so close to civilization. There was plenty of space in the cottage for 3 adults and a toddler, it had a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher & washing machine, the lounge area was a nice space to relax comfortably in, with a log burner. The beds were lovely, soft and comfy - excellent nights sleep were had. We would not hesitate to come back and stay again!

Exceptional

The cottage was absolutely beautiful. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Warm, cosy cottage. The perfect place to relax after the day at the Christmas Markets. Will definately stay again

Fantastic, edge of the city location with a countryside feel!

Excellent location. Right on the edge of Bath so could walk straight out into the countryside. Would recommend walking to the farm shop in Newton St Loe for breakfast/brunch. Comfy lounge. Yummy arrival gifts. Double bed very comfy. Well equipped kitchen. Matt is a fantastic host - very friendly and helpful. Apple pressing was in progress during our stay and the guys doing it were really friendly and all too happy to tell us about the process and equipment. Good bus links to get into town. Helpful local information provided.

Bedrooms and bathroom were a bit small and with low headroom (couldn't shut the door in the double without banging the bed and being tall I couldn't stand up straight in the shower). Floors are rather creaky upstairs so can be tricky if your kids are light sleepers.

Lovely cottage in a great location

The cottage was lovely and cosy. The hosts provided everything we needed for our stay and even had a few nice touches such as toys for our little one! Would love to stay again!

Beautiful views from property lovely walks from cottage. Convenient location to visit family. We had everything we needed for a family of 4. Excellent Wii for my husband to work. Friendly helpful hosts.

Great outlook over open countryside.

This is a lovely well fitted out 2 bedroom cottage that will suit most people. Wonderful scenery. Stairs are a little narrow if you are carrying your luggage up but were presumably made that way to maximize upstairs bathroom space. A creaky upstairs floor if you happen to be there with friends! Excellent "food basket" on arrival. The property is about 300 metres off a quite busy road but is super quiet - a couple of times we found it a relatively long wait to re-join the traffic flow. Turning left at the driveway entrance takes you to the Globe Inn about 4 kms away. We enjoyed using this 3 times for dinner - once in the restaurant (with booking) and twice just getting a table in the large bar area which was more convenient. Turning right from the entrance takes you to a large Sainsburys store for other food/drink requirements about 1.5kms away. As long term travelers we enjoyed having a washing machine, much easier than tracking down a launderette (although we did notice one coming back from Sainsburys).

The traffic in Bath. Not a fault of this cottage though! The number of buses clogging the streets was an eye-opener. After one foray in the car we found it far more convenient to take the bus at the (rather strangely named) "Odd Down Park and Ride" into town rather than facing the hassle of driving and paying for city parking.
