About this cabin rental
Beautiful spacious cabin in Cooper Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The cabin is on a hill with a hike down of about 300 ft to reach our over 500 feet of creek frontage on one of No GA's premier trout creeks. Cooper Creek is wide, trout-stocked, and always flowing. This cabin has mountain views, creek views and is on 6 acres of mountain property. Close to waterfalls, Toccoa River, the Appalachian Trail and many wineries. The cabin is about 20 miles from Blairsville, the quaint mountain village of Blue Ridge, and Lake Blue Ridge.
The all wood interior of the cabin (not an inch of sheet-rock here!) has 2 bedrooms, a sleeping loft and two large bathrooms. Each bathroom has double sink vanities. It comfortably sleeps 6. (One king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 double size futon in sleeping loft.) Washer and Dryer are available upon request. The cabin is decorated in a rustic-industrial-contemporary style.
The two story open concept great room features a soaring fireplace, and has has direct access to decks, the kitchen, dining area, and it is open to the staircase leading to second level sleeping lot and master suite.
There are generous decks (covered and open) on three sides of this D-log cabin. The decks are equipped with two lockable gates so that large areas of the contiguous upper deck can be secured. The front porch also has a lockable gate. A concrete patio runs the full length of the back of the cabin on the lower level, which has a 6-person Hot Tub. There is a gorgeous stone outdoor fireplace on an additional patio that runs perpendicular to the the covered patio.
A wide, graveled switchback enables direct access for those physically fit, to the primary creek area. Please be aware that the switchback is steep; we have equipped it with benches and other resting spots along the way. At the creek area, you will find ample seating, a grill and fire pit. There are great fishing spots in this creek and our guests can walk the creek freely on "our side" for up to 500 feet. There is a visible "End of Rider Property" sign.
We have created a walking trail right off the creek switchback, for our guests so they can traverse across our recently added 3 acres of property. The end of the trail provides a beautiful reward for that hike, as you can enjoy beautiful restful views of Cooper Creek.
Please be aware that this cabin is dog friendly (see also Rules regarding number, weight limit, and pet fees). Also, be aware that regardless of rigorous routine cleaning, the complete elimination of pet hair, dander, etc is near impossible. If you or any of your guests have pet allergies , you may want to ensure that you take allergy medicine, or find a rental not allowing pets. Be aware that by reserving, you are committing to follow all Rules, including Pet Rules. Be sure to read all Rules in the Policies and Agreements section.

Enjoyed the property completely Awesome place!!!!!!

Loved the property. It was perfect to play in the creek and explore the area as well. We went tubing on the Toccoa, saw the swinging bridge and hiked the 1 st mile of the Appalachian Trail. Every night we enjoyed the deck and played games with family. A lot of memories made.

My family and I came up from Florida for a small getaway and just being in the cabin made us want to stay longer. Very clean, comfy, and had just about anything you could need. We enjoyed the outside fireplace, the hiking, and surrounding falls. We definitely plan on coming back!

When we arrive, we found the property to be exactly as described and pictured. The surrounding area is just beautiful. So quiet and relaxing we wanted to stay there forever. Everything functioned will and nothing broke. We’ll certainly be back.

The stay was beautiful! It was so nice to unplug for a week! The house had everything we needed to enjoy a week of laughs, games, fishing, and just slowing down and enjoying life!

My wife and I have never been to N. Georgia before and were looking for a cabin to get away. We found it here! We had a great time and the cabin was perfect. We just wish we'd had more time to enjoy it.

Absolutely wonderful cabin. Supplied with everything you need for a long stay. Perfectly clean and very welcoming. Loved the property. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We had a blast! The cabin was as described and we enjoyed our time there. We are senior citizens and still made it up and down the hills to the beautiful creek below. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed and was very spacious. It was spectacular.

My sister and I enjoyed the visit very much. Beautiful cabin, great kitchen, and loved the showers in each of our bathrooms. It was a good central location to visit the TN line, Dahlonaga, and Helen. We also took a site seeing tour by truck along a beautiful creek nearby. Very nice place to stay. Also, very clean!

The cabin was amazing! My husband and I love camping and trout fishing. The cabin was comfortable and cozy. We were able to relax and enjoy the beauty of the quiet mountains. I did a puzzle and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. It's very conveniently located for lots of fishing and not too far from Blue Ridge or Blairsville if you need something or want to do an afternoon outing. Will highly recommend to anyone!

This is our second stay at this location and it has had many upgrades and improvements. Our first stay was almost ten years prior. The cabin has everything you need for a wonderful get away from the hustle and crazy of the city. Every detail has been thought of. Almost anything you need for your stay is at the cabin. Its like a luxurious hotel room nestled in the remote mountains of NE Georgia. My wife and I had a wonderful birthday week. We hope to return to this cabin very soon. Thanks Sean and Deb

The cabin was awesome! The location is a bit out of the way but that is what we were wanting. Internet works well so streaming isn’t an issues. Hot water is plentiful, even when filling up the jetted tub. The kitchen has just about anything you would need. The trail down to the creek is further than the pictures make it seem and more strenuous than expected but it is a quiet area to spend the afternoon. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. We really enjoyed our stay.

This cabin is so beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. The trails and the areas at the end of the trails are magnificent. Definitely a lot of love and work went into making this place so special. We loved everything about this place. I had a hard time peeling my son away from the fishing. Thank you so much for everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The photos of this home don’t do it justice. It’s a must see and must stay. Cozy, inviting and comfortable. Our pup loved being on the porches with us (and we loved that it was gated throughout so she couldn’t escape), we loved the hike down to the creek (twice). Every where you turned there was beauty abounding. Thanks Rider family for providing such a great retreat space.

This was the 4th or 5th time we stayed at this property and it was just as great as the previous visits. The cabin was clean and the owners were very responsive. We also love the location…we don’t get many chances to slow down in our daily life…so being off the beaten path is perfect for us. Great hiking close by plus our dog loved going with us on the two paths to the creek on the property. Can’t ask for more…highly recommend if you need to “get away”!!! Also, if youre looking for food close by…we recommend Wildcat BBQ in Suches.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Make sure you buy groceries before you get there so you don’t have to leave. This is off the grid and makes it the best to get away from everything.

Great location. Beautiful property with lots of work done by owner to make it amenable for guests. Creek area was so relaxing. Home was beautifully rustic with all amenities needed plus those little extras that visitors sometimes forget to bring. Plan to return in the future.

Such a beautiful property! You can tell Sean really put a lot of thought into making this place feel like a second home. All of the amenities are perfect and they even set out a little box of stuff to make s‘mores! There’s plenty of linens and the bathtub was my favorite part. Me and my husband are already planning to come back!

It's been awhile since we've had time for a getaway. We came to The Mountain Cabin on Cooper Creek with high expectations. We certainly were most pleased. Upon arrival we knew we made the right choice. The cabin was everything we anticipated. Supplied with all the amenities we needed. Comfortable beds, beautiful showers and best hot tub ever!!! The detail from the fully stocked kitchen to the fabulous artwork decorating the cabin was awesome. We did some hiking, fishing and a whole lot of relaxing by the outdoor fireplace. We will be back!!!!

We are so glad we picked this place for our 23rd anniversary!! Sean and Deb are the best and the cabin was amazing!! Our every expectation and beyond was met. There was the cutest hummingbird who lived there we enjoyed watching and also were able to watch a family of deer right out the back door. We had the best sleep we ever had with the constant rumble of the creek down below and our looking forward to our next trip.

My wife and I had a very relaxing time in this wonderful cabin. Sean and Deb were great hosts and have provide so many extras that you would not think about. The cabin was very clean upon our arrival and all the creature comforts were provided. As we began our stay little things were noticed that let you know that this was their home that was well thought out and loved and not just a vacation rental property to them. We loved the surprises along the path to the creek, the stuff to make smores(that we did not use because it was very hot while we were there) the provide walking sticks for the hike to the creek, and all the personal touches that just made us feel at home. We loved to just sit on the deck in the morning and enjoy the sunrise and quietness of the mountains. The hummingbirds fighting over the feeder, and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. Thank you,Sean and Deb, for sharing your little piece of heaven with us! We will be back for another visit! Wish I could give more than 5 stars on this review.

The cabin was absolutely perfect. It is such a cozy place to go and hang out with that special someone. Everything is placed perfectly, and there are so many fun things to get into!

This place is beyond amazing. The listing doesn’t do it justice as to how perfect everything is. We enjoyed getting away from the hustle of everyday life and unplugging and recharging. The WiFi worked great, we have Verizon service and had to use WiFi calling on our phones due to no service but that was a plus in my book. Only tip to people is to bring your groceries with you before you arrive because you will not want to leave. So thankful for being allowed to stay in this cabin.

The cabin was even better than described and the pictures don’t do it justice! This cabin was amazing and they’ve really thought of every detail! Nice and clean and a great location. We had a big storm during our time and lost power for about 12 hours. They had candles, lights, batteries and everything we could need to make having no electricity a little better. The owner also came out the morning after the storm to clean up all the trees limbs and debris that had fallen. It was a great experience and we hope to return again! Thank you to the Rider family!

This was our second stay at this beautiful cabin. The cabin was well maintained, clean, and well stocked. Sean and Deb are great. Cabin is located close to local trails and waterfalls. We always have a great time while here. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

The cabin was absolutely stunning! It was clean and fully stocked with many extras. Deb and Sean are wonderful host. The beds we're so comfortable! Honestly, i would have been happy to never leave the cabin. The exterior was peaceful with plenty of places to enjoy. Love the large swing on the bottom deck. The creek was amazing. We hope to have the opportunity to stay again. Definitely recommend booking to anyone.

If I could have my own spot in the mountains, this would pretty much be it! The cabin is one of the most well thought out properties I’ve ever stayed at. All of the extra features and personal touches made our stay so enjoyable! I love the open cabinets! Quickly look for anything you could possibly need in an instant. And any time I needed a towel hook or outlet, they magically are placed in all the right spots! The cabin was immaculately clean, down to the fresh linens. Plenty of room and very well laid out. Even a bonus 3rd full finished bathroom on the (unfinished) basement level!!
So much to do and explore on the property, we could have easily stayed longer! This was a first staying along a creek, and while the hike to the creek is legit, it is very well done with resting spots, provided walking sticks and fun surprises along the way! The creek is absolutely beautiful.
This cabin is obviously well taken care of and loved by a family who has filled it with so much personality! Sean & Deb have thought of everything!! Be sure to discover all of the unique lights throughout the interior!
Close to so many area attractions, but you will find it hard to leave the cabin!! If you are looking to escape the daily grind and loose yourself in nature, and a little luxury:) you will not be disappointed!! Communication and hospitality is unmatched!!
