The property met all our requirements and was centrally located. Very pleased with our stay.

Loved the layout and the spaciousness of this house. It was very comfortable. Two bathrooms which is an essential feature for us.
The weather was very changeable so we didn't get to use the garden but there is room to sit out.
There were 6 of us and the property sleeps 8. Efficient dishwasher and washing machine. Decent size fridge and freezer.
Plenty of cups, crockery and cutlery which was great. The dining table seats 6 so it was fine for us.
Lots of board games etc which we didn't use but was a nice to have.
The area is well kept but very hilly, fine for us but something to bear in mind if you struggle with hill walking.
About 10/15 minute walk to the harbour and the town. Lots of shops and cafes.
Best beach is Woolacombe which is about a 20 minute drive away but worth the trip.

Great place for our group of 4 adults. Having 2 bathrooms was perfect. The house is lovely - really homely and one of the cleanest we have stayed in. The garden area is great. Just a shame we didn’t have a couple more sunny days to enjoy it.

The house was comfortable and well equipped with a lovely garden and great views. There was plenty of room for to families and we enjoyed eating in the garden on sunny days surrounded by the beautiful anemones. The location was perfect for exploring Ilfracombe and coastal paths with a beautiful beach a 10 minute walk away. We had a wonderful week.

Family of 5 + dog, plenty of room, light and bright within easy access to centre of Ilfracombe, beach, cliff tops...lots of places to explore locally and further afield. House well equipped, shower was great, beds comfy and enough storage space - separate washer and drier which was helpful. We had a lovely time.

The house is in a great location, close to some lovely beaches, nice outdoor space to eat in. Could have been cleaner when we arrived but overall a great place to stay to explore local area, and you didn’t have to far to find some fabulous activities. Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms were nice with good storage, we had a great stay.

We had a lovely stay and Alison was really helpful and friendly. The house is lovely, very clean, super comfy beds and such a great location so close to the sea and ilfracombe harbour. Would definitely stay again 🙂

The property was in a perfect location in a very quiet and lovely neighbourhood, with easy access to the open spaces of Hillsborough Fort and footpaths for walks into the harbour and out into the countryside. The accommodation was just as described and great for us with two young children and a dog. It was well equipped and very comfortable.
I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday by the sea but with lots of walks and things to do in the area as well.

Weekly stay
A pleasant week in a great location. Property was clean and well equipped. The property is ideally located and a short drive to the centre of town and all its amenities & attractions.

Great Location
Across the road is the leisure centre and, beyond that, there are paths to the harbour (10 minutes walk and you can see it from the house), to Hele Bay over the cliffs or a flatter, more direct path (20 minutes by the direct path tops) and to a couple of little bays and the sea. It is doggie heaven as around the leisure centre there are fields where the locals let the dogs run off lead - playtime.
The house is nice and the garden is lovely, enclosed for the dog too.

Clean quiet and comfotable
Lovely house, with sea visible over rooftops. Close to swimming pool and Chambercombe Manor ( historic house) which is lovely. Fifteen minute walk downhill to harbour and town was fine for us.

Great House for Family Break
Location - 15 walk to harbour and pub within 5 mins walk. You have to be mobile as house is on a fairly steep hill but cab only £5 if you can’t walk back uphill from harbour.
House - clean and tidy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and appliances. Would only say that more wardrobe space is needed other than that in main bedroom. Great views from the front bedrooms.
Garden - steep steps to garden which some people will find difficult and a handrail on both sides would be a welcome addition. Also, the garden was a bit unkempt (tidier in photos) and would benefit from cushions on the metal chairs as they were pretty uncomfortable.
It’s a good house in a good location with plenty of space for the 5 of us. Alison’s communication was both quick and helpful, especially when the previous rental failed to put the keys back in the safe on departure leading to a delay in getting into the house. Big thanks to the lady that was urgently scrambling to clean whilst we sat in garden.

Great stay in Ilfracombe in a well appointed town house
Impressed with the property - better than it looked in the listing I think was the general consensus.
Great for us - a bathroom and bedroom for each couple and space enough for a bigger family with the twin rooms. It's a shame the weather was awful so no chance to use the BBQ or the terrace - which was inviting, as was the log fire but we didn't bother to use it. A nice place to shelter, eat, drink and play games as the wind howled and rain lashed!
Close to a good local pub and when the weather held a nice walk down into the town and along the quay.
Accurate listing - furniture is decent and price reasonable enough I think.
A good find so would definitely stay again

Beautiful old home
This property was beautiful and well located relative to the town. It comfortably fit 4 adults and a dog for our week long stay. We ran in to some issues with the boiler water pressure, and it seems like this was a recurring problem for this property. But the property owner was very responsive and quick to send someone out to address it.

Lovely house, beautiful sea views
For a family holiday this rental was excellent. Close to local beach and walking distance to town. Also worth visiting nearby resorts with breathtaking beaches which go on and on. Recommend Saunton Sands and Woolacombe beaches but plenty to choose from within 30-40 minute drive. The house itself had all that you may need.

Fabulous base for a fascinating place
This house is every bit as good as described. Particularly handy for us with kids who love to swim because we could walk to the swimming pool. Even with some pretty harsh weather we had a lovely time watching the storms unfold through the beautiful bay windows.

Christmas & New Year 2019
Two families youngest being 19, & the Dog, not always easy to find somewhere that suits everyone, but we struck lucky this time, house super very well equipped & clean, great location , easy walk into town, where we danced in the streets on New Years Eve, great atmosphere. Lovely daytime walks lots of Dog friendly pubs & cafes. Visited Woolacombe, Dunster, Croyde, Minehead, lynton & lynmouth... can’t recommend highly enough thank you Alison 👍

Very Nice
Clean and tidy, comfortable, nice views from upstairs bedrooms. Fine for the 6 of us, though full capacity 8 people might be a bit of a squeeze.
Recommend Relish Restaurant in Fore St, but book first!!

Great week away
We had a great week in Ilfracombe at Lyndon. The property is situated c.15 minutes' walk from both the harbour area and town centre and is also well placed for driving elsewhere as you don't have to drive through the centre. The house itself is beautifully done and the decoration is very in keeping with the style of the building. We had two children (four and one) with us and had no issues; a cot and high chair are provided. Communication with Alison was quick and she was very helpful. We will certainly be back.

Well situated, characterful Victorian house
Great location (15 mins scenic downhill walk into Ilfracombe). Kitchen well equipped. Strong broadband, characterful Victorian house.
The garden was a disappointment, though, Small, exposed, public, windy, and (in early May, when we were there) far less foliage than the photos show. But there is a tiny, private, sunspot outside the kitchenm.

Brilliant property
House was perfect for our group. The house had a bathroom, one double and one twin on each floor which meant two families each with two children could have a floor each. The living and dining space was also ideal. Property was super clean and really well equipped. The cakes on arrival was a very welcome bonus especially popular with the kids. Location was also great. Ideal for exploring Ilfracombe and also the beautiful North Devon beaches. Would definitely stay again.

FANTASTIC!!
We have had a fantastic weekend staying at this house. It has everything you need for a comfortable break away. The location was perfect for us, we were able to walk into the village to the harbour and also through the fields and go on a country walk to the beach. It is very hilly, but this was not an issue for us. Thank you for a perfect house!

A Great Holiday in a lovely house for a special occasion
The property was wonderful and loads of space for our group of 4 adults and 3 children. The views from the house are great and you can see the house from down in the harbour looking up as well. The extra touches like a the lemon drizzle cake, box of tea bags and real coffee waiting there for when you arrive makes you feel like you are checking into a hotel. We were there to celebrate my mum and dad's 50th wedding anniversary and they loved it. Thanks for sharing you lovely home with us.

Lovely house and location
The house is lovely, well laid out and all rooms are beautifully decorated. It is in a good location but it is quite hilly, so if walking up hills is difficult, this could be an issue! My only small criticisms are that the bath towels provided are quite small and although the bathrooms, kitchen etc were very clean, the rest of the house was dusty and didn't look as if it had been cleaned for a while (lots of dust, dead insects etc on the window ledges). I only mention this in case the owner is paying for a company to clean, as I don't think they're doing a particularly great job! But other than this, I would recommend the place and I would return. We had a lovely week!
