About this apartment rental
This self catering apartment facing the ocean overlooking the promenade and landscaped gardens, is in a excellent location, for your holiday rental, relaxing, beautiful sea views. Situated on the popular Estrada Monumental, where many 5 star hotels and restaurants, bars, shops, supermarket, banks, taxi ranks, bus stop, all within a few minutes walk. The centre of Funchal is a 5-10min ride by bus/ taxi. Or a pleasant walk along the promenade for about 25 minutes. There is a coastal promenade adjacent to the apartment complex, which also gives access to natural rock pools and two swimming complex's. Also, there is a new health club, with indoor swim/pool, sauna, Turkish bath, gym, tennis court, etc close by. The apartment faces seawards and with its 3rd floor location enjoys beautiful sea views. Furnished to a very high standard. Fully equipped for your every need. We are there to add that personal touch, and greet you on your arrival, and to insure you have a relaxing holiday.
On your arrival: On your arrival we can arrange for transport to and from the airport to the apartment for you, we have a father and son taxi driver's who we have used for many years, and are friendly and very reliable, and speak very good English. They will collect you from the airport and take you to the apartment where we will be there to greet you and show you around the apartment, and to answer any questions you may have. There will be a welcome pack for you on arrival also.
If you should need any extra help or advice on anything, we would pleased to help.
On arrival at the apartment, when I greet you. The tourist tax has to be paid to me, in cash. The cost is 2 euros per night, per guests. For the maximum of 7 nights. i.e. 14 euros each for a 7 night stay or more. Which I have to then pay to the local council on your behalf.
The apartment is very central, with good transport available close by, but if you should wish to hire a car, there is a underground parking space available in the building.
On your departure: On your departure we will return to the apartment to bid you farewell, and to ensure you have had a good holiday. Time of departure from the apartment on the day is flexible, depending on the time of new arrival's. The usual time of departure is 10am, but luggage can be left until your departure to the airport.

What you see is what you get. 3 weeks we stayed. Safe, clean, and great walking location. We rented a car for 1 week and it was safe in the garage below the unit. The only thing that could have made it better was some afternoon-evening AC.

I think we didn’t use the sitting room as we were out on the balcony looking at the sea, enjoying drinks and eating - we were lucky with the weather. In the morning can get too hot on the balcony if sun strong. Plenty of space for clothes.
Complex is very well maintained. Perfect base for exploring the island. Underground car park space included if needed. Buses 2 mins walk from flat to bus stop. 3 min walk to supermarket - you are opposite Forum Madeira
There is a promenade, so you can walk to Funchal with a few diversions on to a street. Also can walk by road to Funchal - just follow the road. Not a short walk, but did on our arrival to get our bearings

Great location with easy access for public transport, restaurants, a good supermarket and nice walks along the promenade. Facilities as described in listing, nice view from balcony. Owner is very helpful and communication was good. Overall a very nice place to stay and excellent VFM.

The apartment was amazing, the view from the living room and the balcony was 10 star rating, actually the whole apartment is aswell, Rose Marie had everything you needed and more she greeted us at the apartment, then showed us around gave us loads of information about supermarket's, trips,other area's of interest. I would highly recommend this amazing apartment to stay at,to visit this fantastic island of Maderia

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in Madeira, the condo was everything we could ask for, comfort, fabulous view, great location and fully equipped. The host, Rose Marie met us at the bus stop and took us directly to the condo. She left some “welcome” items for us, which was a very lovely touch. Recommend staying here on your visit to Madeira.

We loved our stay! The condo is perfect. Also loved that the balcony had afternoon shade so we could sit out there and it was just a short walk to a gorgeous sunset. Great location. Shopping mall/grocery store right across the street. Restaurants nearby and walkable. We loved the one on the lower level next to the garage exit. Live music.

Had a lovely 5 night stay here! Rose Marie met us at the apartment, and gave us walking & eating suggestions. The apartment was furnished beautifully and had all the amenities, including washing machine. Rosemarie also gave us a bunch of welcome goodies! Very sweet! Would highly recommend d!!

We really enjoyed staying in Rosemaries lovely apartment! We felt very welcome and were so happy that we found such a nice place. We were so impressed with the apartment. A really good size and a great location. It had everything we needed and much more. It was lovely to sit out on the balcony for breakfast and again in the evenings. Would not hesitate to recommend and we hope to return. The only thing we would have changed is we should have booked more than 7 nights.

The property was beautiful and the view off the balcony was amazing! The location was perfect being across from the Forum and having a phenomenal amount of excellent restaurants to walk to and choose from. This location also allowed for a wonderful 35 min walk to downtown. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will stay 2 weeks next time; a week wasn't long enough!

My husband and I at this property. It was clean. Walking distance to a few restaurants, coffee shops, and supermarket. We took the bus to downtown many times. I would definitely stay here again. Hoping soon.

We spent almost three weeks at this apartment and were extremely pleased with it. The location was perfect, both for exploring Funchal (a decent walk downtown and an even better bus ride back on a direct bus route and a stop just across the street) and the entire island as it was an easy drive from here out to the freeways. The private parking is especially helpful in this regard. The Madeira Forum just across the street was a plus, especially the very good grocery store on the lower level. The apartment was spacious and well furnished, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. Wifi was good. The washing machine was a real benefit, with a very good fast cycle that many machines lack. The balcony was of course great for views anytime, and for evening cocktails and morning breakfasts when the weather allowed. Rosemarie was very responsive to our questions and provided good information and recommendations. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our good experiences eith this property began well before we started packing. The property owner, Rosemarie, contacted us early with details as to what we might expect. She arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport and delivered us to the apartment. Rosemarie met us and and showed us details such as WIFI and shopping and dining in the immediate area. Our overall experience was wonderful such that we have booked the property for a month in 2023.

Good sized apartment that was very well equipped and very clean.
Location was perfect for us , overlooking the sea restaurants and shops nearby and Funchal 10 minutes on the regular bus or a nice 40 minute walk.

A comfortable apartment with everything you need for your stay. Very clean and in a good location to do day trips from. Marie the host is very helpful and left a welcome bottle of wine pastries milk etc.

Luxury and style
Fantastic communication from host for any questions we had. Description doesn’t do the apartment justice as it’s even better! Location couldn’t be better for shops, transport and restaurants. No need for a car. Bonus is lifts in the building. Easy for bus to/from airport. Everything you could possibly need in the apartment. Most importantly is the peace and quiet. Highly recommended. Really enjoyable stay that felt like home
This was our first experience staying in a property rather than in a hotel and the whole process from day 1 was very enjoyable. Rose Marie and Adrian replied to all of our messages in a very prompt manner. We were looking to work from Madeira during our stay so we needed to ensure the Internet speed was fast and reliable. Rose Marie made sure to check the Internet speed for us and to change the provider just so that we were able to stay in the property and work comfortable from home.
The flat itself feels like a real ‘home’ - very clean and cosy. The location was really key to us and the location of this flat is perfect! You can easily walk, drive, run into the centre of Funchal as well as enjoy the most glorious walk into a nearby fishing village, Camara de Lobos. The flat is also 2 mins away from a really nice fitness centre and 10 mins away from a huge swimming complex. Surrounded by a multitude of restaurants and Forum Madeira (large shopping mall) just across the road from the property. Rose Marie was kind enough to help us with all of our questions as well as help us book our COVID tests for the return journey back to the UK.
We really did have a wonderful stay and we are happy to have met Rose Marie as we are looking forward to returning in the near future. Kira and Palash

The apartment has everything you need. Very modern kitchen and well equipped. Balcony was beautiful with the morning sun and view of the ocean. Parking included . Also I need to mention that the bed was very comfortable. Perfect location to coffee shop/ bakery/ shopping. Very nice welcome pack.

Fabulous November Fortnight
Excellent property with lovely sea views and close to promenade. Near to supermarket and shopping centre, very handy for buses and easy walk to Funchal. Rose-Marie was a very welcoming and helpful host.
