What is there not to like! Excellent location, very spacious family room. Free parking provided. Swimming pool and facilities are fantastic. Breakfast - huge variety. Super friendly and helpful staff. I’ll be staying here again on my next visit to Madeira.
Little bit noisy at night from bars opposite side of the road. Music stopped at 11pm so can’t really complain.

Great hotel for relaxation. Breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant Atlantida was very good, as was lunch at the pool bar. Accommodation was very good, lovely big comfy beds, showers excellent. Didn’t need the kitchenette in the end as half board. Very easy to lounge by the pool all day if feeling lazy. Easy to walk into Funchal for a wander and get a taxi or bus back, or if you hire a car like we did, so many incredible places to explore. Hotel has free parking. The Spa was excellent, can definitely recommend.
There is plenty of sun beds, if none free right by the pool then they are dotted round the gardens so that was good, though as shade lovers we struggled occasionally to find a spot with an umbrella that was movable so we could get in the shade.
Also it would be an added bonus if there was perhaps more acoustic variety in the music in the evenings, some Fado perhaps? We love to swim in the sea but travelled to other places in the island to find beautiful swimming spots.

Close to the ocean. Nice pools. The reception convinced us to change our room in order for us to get an early check in, which was a nice gesture, but I think our original room would have been better.
our sliding door wouldn’t lock and we called and it was fixed efficiently.
We were celebrating our Anniversary and they had a bottle of wine, flowers and a card for us.
The halls had a must odour- I think the carpets need to be replaced. The bathroom had a constant odour, maybe from the old wood doors and trim. The pillows were uncomfortable.
The breakfast buffet had lots of quantity but poor quality.
Location is a little far from the city centre of Funchal, 35 min walk, which we did once, but then we took a taxi.

Excellent breakfast. Perfect location

Perfectly located, clean, all amenities functional and orderly. Great breakfast and most importantly super helpful staff.
My window was facing the street. Noise was slightly disturbing. We booked two rooms, one facing the garden side. Seeing this difference elevated my frustration with the seaside view, although I could see the ocean.

Great choice of pools, restaurants, seating areas
Breakfast was very good but could change the offering on occasion

Gardens and pools are wonderful, rooms large and comfy. Breakfast good too.
We had room on the side in the Residence right by the road which was very noisy. Mostly motorcycles using the road as a show off point. We asked to move and we’re given a quiet room at the back, much better apart from the cats living outside! Signs out asking guests not to feed them but not being obeyed.

We opted for the morning breakfast, it was wonderful! It had lots of great selections, really everything you could ask for. The location is superb really central to all the activities and things that you would want to do.
The rooms were a little bit dated. Other than that, the size was incredible. I was not expecting something that large at all. A friend of mine joined in last minute. I was very surprised that the room had two bathrooms which was awesome for us.

All the facilities we could have used.
Loud music every night heard in the room

the property was fairly large with some nice amenities.
the cost to value was just not there. i probably could of spent less and do more with the remainder.

The setting, gardens, pools and food.
Some of the main restaurant staff was not very welcoming, especially at breakfast.

We were very impressed with the hotel and all the services that were provided. We loved all the places for our child to play and he enjoyed the kiddie pool very much!

lovely room, great facilities, wonderful breakfast
our room faced out of the complex and onto a very busy, noisy adjoining road. The site photos do not even suggest that there are any rooms on the outside of the building.
also a large part of the grounds is not accessible because it is only for the use of certain residents. That too is not explained by the hotel

Absolutely everything ❤ food, cleanliness of hotel, beautiful gardens, location 👌
Nothing whatsoever, cannot fault it, would definitely recommend

The accommodation is excellent - the standards of service are outstanding and we had a lovely stay. The garden on site is almost like a botanical garden...the location is fantastic and super close to the Lido beach complex. You can easily walk to the main centre of Funchal or to nice locations like Praia Formosa. Madeira is an amazing island and staying at the hotel made our holiday even more memorable.
As the hotel and Residence are quite big, with many floors and branches - it is a bit easy to get lost especially at first. but it is just a matter of finding your bearings. Takes a couple of days!

Bathrooms were nice, swimming pool and restaurants were nice. Property was clean and most of the staff friendly.
If we knew that for the price we were charged we were to be out in the room with the street view, which was also very dark inside, we would have never gone to that hotel. Photos on the booking showed nice grass area outside and an ocean view. This is disappointing. Some of the staff in the buffet was not very kind. Bed mattresses were uncomfortable.

A superb breakfast , with a huge variety of choices that can be eaten by the pool or outdoors.
The grounds are lovely with exotic plantings and a large pool.
We made use of the daily happy hour.
The suite was very large, with excellent bed linens and an oversized balcony.
The property exceeded our expectations.
The property is a few kilometres from the centre of town.
However a bus stop is located in front of one of the residences.

The facilties are excellent with superb gardens. Whilst we didn't actually experience the entertainment from the posters on display it looked to be of a good standard.
It was a little bit detached from the old town although there were several good restaurants in the vicinity. The facilties are excellent but felt it was a tad on the expensive side.
