About this house rental
This property has been completely remodeled to give you the modern amenities and luxuries of a 5 star hotel. This home takes you back to 1940’s Balboa Island. The minute you step inside the front door, you’ll notice the details, from the original wood floors to the charming gas fireplace. This unit has a front house with 2 bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room / dining room area to enjoy! A garage for parking your vehicle, perfect during the summer months! AC and Wifi throughout the home.
The back unit is a separate loft area with 2 bunk beds ( sleeps 4 ). This loft has a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. It’s a great home for two couples to share, especially if they have children. A perfect spot for kids to hang out, with it’s large television and Xbox system.
If your looking for a quiet, relaxing, luxurious home to getaway, then this cottage is perfect for you.

This was our second summer staying at the Corral Cottage, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. Kristin has created an immaculate, organized, and beautiful home that truly feels like a getaway haven. The attention to detail is impeccable, from the thoughtfully arranged spaces to the spotless cleanliness throughout the entire property. It’s clear that Kristin takes great pride in maintaining the cottage, making it a comfortable and serene place to relax. We love the charming décor and how everything is laid out so thoughtfully. We can't wait to return for another peaceful retreat next summer!

All members of our party (all adults age in our 60's and 70's) loved staying the Coral Cottage. It is beautifully furnished and well-equipped. We had everything we needed or wanted. The decor is homey without being personal. To make the stay even more perfect our suggestions are to have bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the beds and to have a window covering over the Dutch door window in the upstairs apartment. These are minor issues and only mentioned because the hosts obviously go to great efforts to meet all of their guests' needs.

This is our third stay at this perfect gem on Balboa. It is so beautifully organized with every amenity you could think of, great location, immaculately kept, and great decor. The loft over the garage is such a great room I almost wanted to camp out up there for a night. Really a great stay!

Our stay at the charming Coral Ave Cottage was fantastic.
The house and loft are so well decorated and well stocked, modernized, spotless and clearly well maintained. All of the amenities are premium and many unexpected items like pots and pans, spices, coffee, tea and sweeteners, storage are included, Every potential need is thought about and handled. The host is wonderfully communicative and we had the best time. Cannot say enough good things! We would love to come back!

This Cottage is so well thought out, every space is maximized with amazing detail. All the perfect essentials you need, plus some fun bonus surprises, like games, a record player, beach essentials, outdoor shower if you are sandy, etc.

This cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated. The owner goes out of her way to make everything perfect including fresh flowers. The kitchen drawers are filled with everything you need or want for cooking and entertaining. The beds, bedding and linens are all five stars. The upstairs unit is perfect for kids and includes an Xbox and big screen TV. From the cottage restaurants, ice cream, boat rentals and beaches are a 2-5 minute walk.

This perfectly adorned charming cottage+ was so comfortable in every aspect. It was sparkling clean, beautiful fresh bathrooms and kitchen, uncluttered, and every amenity , down to the most detailed was thought of, for every age group. Also a perfect location for walking Balboa. It made our vacation a 10!

Could not have had a better time. The property is been kept meticulously. All you need are your cloths. It has all the modern amenities in a perfect historical cottage. Easy walk to Marine street shops, the beach or ferry. I have teenagers that loved the upstairs room and the house was perfect for myself and older daughters. I hope to stay here again

Best place EVER!
Such a wonderful property and owner. Every detail has been thought of down to the extra robes, slippers and tooth brushes! We loved the loft area for our girls to hang out and have their own space. Garage has lots of space. Beach chairs and towels…total bonus! Outdoor shower has hot water! YaY! We really enjoyed our vacation and will stay longer next time! Thank you!

Property is the cleanest we've ever stayed in. All hard surfaces! Everything felt recently updated. Easy to understand appliances and electronics. Owners very thoughtful about how renters will use the property and providing for their needs. Just a beautiful house in a great location. And the upstairs apartment was perfect for our teenagers! Beautiful Cottage
We loved our stay at the Coral Cottage. The home is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable with all the amenities we needed. I appreciated the nice touch of fresh flowers throughout the home and cold bottled water in the fridge upon arrival. The Cottage is centrally located on Balboa, walking distance to Main Street and the ferry. We definitely look forward to returning in the future!

Perfection!
Super luxurious. Kitchen and bath were so well stocked. We were gadgets for everything we wanted to prepare and serve. Balboa island is just so picture perfect. Great for strolling, jogging, proximity to beaches, great restaurants. Had a great time getting together with family, hanging out and catching up with their lives.

Kris has no competition in the vacation rental realm. There is something about the cottage and the setting that envelops you in comfort, quiet and peacefulness. Kris has redefined perfection, no joke. I've never had a better experience at any other property with the only exception being an apartment in Paris. All of her amazing reviews will tell the story.

Beautiful home!
I have been vacationing on the island since the early 1980s. This house was the cleanest and most well-cared for of all of them! The kitchen is so well stocked. It has everything you need. The apartment over the garage was perfect for my older children. Having both bedrooms on the ground floor of the home was perfect for my older mother. It has a great location. We will be back!

This vacation was incredibly enjoyable, in large part due to this amazing cottage. You will not regret staying here. The place was spotless and every detail was much appreciated. The towels, linens and appliances were all top of the line. Kris really thought of everything! Excellent choice on Balboa Island
The property was exactly as described. It is well maintained, clean and has everything you need from kitchen to bath supplies. The location is a short walk to the shops/restaurants and about 10 minutes to the ferry over to Newport Beach. Our teenagers loved having the upstairs apartment to themselves. I would not recommend the setup if you have very young children as it is completely separate. We would definitely stay here again.
