Private Onsen
We got a taxi to the property. They day before we left we asked if they could arrange a taxi to take us the station they said they would. They then called later that evening to say the taxis were busy and they couldn't get through to them. We said that was fine and to just call again in the morning before we left. When we went down to check out we asked about the taxi, the man behind the desk didn't speak any English so he spoke to a colleague and they spoke amongst themselves for a few minutes before the lady said they they don't have taxis here and we wouldn't be able to get one, thanks, bye. We were never told this the day previously. So were were literally left on the kerb by the property with our luggage trying to figure out how to leave and catch our train on time.
The food wasn't great. I messaged before our stay to say I was vegetarian when I got there they kept asking about me eating fish so I said okay expecting a few dishes with fish. I was wrong every dish is fish. And at one point I was also served what looked like bacon.
It felt like you had to get permission to go anywhere and you were asked exactly what times you were planning on leaving and returning - when you first walk through the front door.
Location isn't great or easy to get to

Lovely tatami room with a spectacular view and a nice private bath on the balcony. The staff were super nice and we felt well taken care off.

Our stay was so incredible and relaxing. We had a private onsen on the balcony that overlooked the country club and was beautiful to wake up to. Breakfast and dinner was included in the price of the room. I saw some reviews where the people didn't like the food... But it was so so good! We love all kinds of seafood, especially fresh, local things, so everything was delicious to us. I'd say that of you don't like seafood, you might not enjoy it as much but they were so accommodating that they'd likely have an alternate menu for you. For English speakers, its helpful to have a translator on you.

Our stay truly was exceptional! The bath on the balcony was relaxing with beautiful views of the mountainside. The food was absolutely delicious. The hosts did not speak very much English, but we didn’t mind and were able to enjoy all of the comforts with a little help from Google translate.

I thought that the meals provided were far and away the best part about this stay. The hot spring on the balcony was the other best part. The staff were very nice and we felt very welcome here even as foreigners.
We felt like the pictures from the travel site did not properly show the size of the room. We got a room that was smaller than expected. Other than that, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Staff were kind and accommodating. They also gave helpful advice on services like luggage transport to make our stay and exploration after checkout easier. The private onsen was very nice especially with the view.
