About this cottage rental

This duplex is as close on the beach as you can get! Right on the beach! From the living room window, you can watch the dolphins swim by. It is charmingly decorated and comfortable. THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE SIDE OF THE DUPLEX ONLY. EACH SIDE HAS TWO BEDROOMS AND ONE BATH. Oceanfront bed has a Queen bed in it and a single bed. The other bedroom has a full bed and single. A Smart TVs one in the oceanside bedroom and the other in the Main living area. A great place for a work and play vacation. The other half of the property is carried under VRBO 7364153 and you can see that this property has gotten 5-star ratings for years too! If you want to rent both sides please check availability under the number 7364153 as well. If you choose we welcome you to bring a magnet from your town or state for the refrigerator- I think it will be fun to see where we all visit from. And when you come back you can watch it grow! We had a very nice stay. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate and we had a lot of rain all week but the location is close to shopping and great bars and restaurants. My other half enjoyed fishing and the location was perfect! Cute duplex with everything you could need for the week! Couldn’t get much closer to the beach and the pet gate was perfect to keep them on our patio!

This is our third visit to Amelia Island and this property. It is a highlight of the year. Everything you need and some of the most incredible views. Jane was fabulous and responsive. Love this place.

The location is located in a great spot on Fernandina Beach. The view is incredible from the deck and we enjoyed our sunsets each evening. Will come back again when we visit Amelia Island.

We stayed at the cottage from June 22 through the 29th. The Cottage is a little beach front gem. It has all the amenities that you need. The owner was very kind and communicative. The key thing about this little cottage is Location! Location!Location! On the beach near town and parks, and several restaurants. If asked what my favorite thing about the cottage was that every morning I would go out on the back deck with my cup of coffee and watch the sun rise over the ocean. We definitely hope to be back.

Loved the location of this duplex!! The views from the back deck were amazing!! The master bedroom was a little odd to us with the queen bed being pushed against the wall. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make any meals we wanted. The cabinets were a little high & hard to reach for us short people, so we had to sit our food on the counters. We did have a couple problems throughout our stay, 1.) Had a hiccup with the TV in the first couple days of stay, we couldn't get any channel to play. Called Jan & tried everything under the sun & it didn't work. My husband kept fooling with it and finally got it to work, don't ask how, I don't know. 2.) On the next to the last day, we had a bout with the front door not wanting to unlock even though it was telling us it was unlocked. Called Jan to see what could we do and she first told me she would have to call me back in about 30 minutes because she had to get her phone ( I called the number that was on the rental agreement ) and I told her we couldn't do that & explained to her what was going on with the door and she told us to ask our neighbor if we could borrow their back door key to see if it would open ours but of course, it didn't, they were different. She also gave me her master code, but it didn't work either. Keep keying in door code til it finally let us in after about 30 minutes. Maybe the batteries were getting low, who knows?? All in all, we did love our time there & will definitely be back soon.

Enjoyed this property. Ideal location, right on the beach and close to downtown. Cozy, loved the back deck for evening cocktails, relaxing and reading.

Very cozy and cute cottage right on the beach! We couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay. Only 5 minutes to downtown and plenty of great restaurants. We will definitely be back!

The house was right by the beach as described. I did wish there was a dishwasher though. It was so close it was perfect. I have so many perfect pictures of the sunrise and sunsets. Everything was just how it was described. Perfect for sun and relaxation.

Look no further! One of the very best experiences … ever! The cottage location cannot be beat! It is clean, beds are cozy, backyard view is the BEACH… literally! Need I say anything else?! Well yes I do… We cannot say enough about Jane … a gracious host and a quite lovely person! 1000% we will be back! Thank you so much for sharing your treasure of a cottage with us!

Wonderful time! Very comfortable furniture, well-stocked kitchen and bathroom—towels and beach towels—nicely decorated. Wonderful back porch. Excellent washer and dryer. We were there for 2weeks and enjoyed every minute.

Stayed at the beach house during Labor Day week. Beach was quiet despite the holiday. Beach house was so cute and had amazing views! You can sit in the living room and watch the ocean! Located in a residential area that is quiet with little traffic. Owner responded quickly when we had questions. I will be definitely back next year !

When we arrived door code would not work. Called and given master code still didn't work. It was about 30 min. Zbefore we got in. Had a wonderful week. Arrived home and received a charge of $250 for smoking and not cleaning out fridge. We cleaned out fridge and freezer. There sure wasn't any smoking in the house we had 3 year old twins. I have stayed in fernandina for 23 years on vacation and never had a problem. I relayed this to the owner who had no consideration for the problem!!! Never again.

This sweet cottage could not be closer to the beach. It is perfect for us and our 3 children. Everything about it is easy and fun. We love this house and hope to return next year!

Great place and location for our annual Sisters Spring. Break. We were uncertain about staying in a duplex, as we have always rented a house. But this place was lovely, clean and quiet and well stocked with amenities. Just off the deck you are "toes in the sand" on the expansive, uncrowded beach. Heaven! Highly recommend!

Great view, great access to beach, good parking, nice deck with evening shade. Twin mattresses were fine but the larger ones need to be replaced. Didn't notice it didn't have a dishwasher and we get a condo so we can cook. I usually load the dishwasher while I'm unloading the car so I know the dishes are clean--really missed the dishwasher.

If looking for oceanfront, this is it. Perfect for two friends. Nice little deck with chairs that were simple to dry when wet; took advantage of sunrises! Would definitely stay again!

Someone from Vrbo thought it would be funny to issue a seven digit entrance code to the home that only worked one time. When I tried it a second time it would not open the door and I was locked out. I will never use bebo again. The house floors were so dirty that my feet turned black from walking on them. The two worn out sofas were extremely uncomfortable. Lucky for me the owner refunded my money. What a nightmare this trip was. I hope you fire that employee that gave me the 7 digit code and had the audacity to write HA! After it.

This particular location was located right on the beach and centrally located close to downtowns shops and restaurants. The most relaxing get away thanks to the waves breaking on the shores edge. Kithchen was stocked with everything one would ever need for either a short or a long stay. Highly recommend it!

We love Amelia Island, this was our 3rd December in a row using up the last of my vacation on the beach. Jane is a gracious host and the property was exactly as described. Perfect for my wife and I and our puppy. Already thinking about next year with friends renting the neighboring unit. Just a short walk up the beach to The Sandbar (for drinks and a bite and to watch the game) and a very short drive into Fernandina Beach's awesome bar and restaurant district. Cant beat waking up to an ocean sunrise. And walking up and down the beach (and town) in the most dog friendly spot in Florida..

Very close to the beach. Clean. A little small, but we knew that going in. Being small made it easy to keep it cool in the house. Everything we needed for cooking. Plenty of beach accessories to use. Highly recommend.

This is part of a duplex. 2 bedroom and 1 bath. It is decorated with a nice beach theme. The view, when you first walk in, you see it- of the beach is indeed fantastic. You are steps from the beach. You have a nice deck, and can see sunrise- straight out over the beach- in the morning with your coffee. It is a very quiet beach. Each of the 2 bedrooms have 2 double beds and a single. The kitchen has everything you need. We eat in mostly- few times we ate out. They have beach chairs and skimmers and beach equipment there for you. Jane was very nice- easy to reach. Friendly and helpful. You are right next to a large complex 3-4 stories of a multiple complex. While we were there, the beach was quiet and peaceful and so was our duplex. There was not bothersome loud music or people- really no issues. It truly is family type atmosphere there in Amelia Island. There are some neat shops at the harbor- which is about 10 minutes away. We love the outdoors- beach, hiking, biking- sunrise and sunset. Sunrise is seen at the beach, right outside your door. Go down and enjoy an evening at the harbor, and watch sunset there. We are dog lovers- and our furry friend had a great time.

We absolutely loved staying in the cottage for a week. It was myself, my husband, and our 19 year old daughter. The cottage was the perfect size for us. The housekeeper Shannon made the place spotless, we could tell that the cottage is deep cleaned between each rental. The location was perfect. I almost don't want to share how great the cottage was because I want to keep it to myself. The couches were super comfy, preferred them over the beds lol.

The outside deck was just as good as sitting on the beach it was so close. The patio furniture was nice. Grand children were next door and was easy to spend time with them! I loved the location only about 10 minutes to many great seafood restaurants I hope I can return this year!! The beach was very quiet and relaxing. Everything you could need for cooking was there ( even though I don’t cook lol)

The duplex is in a great location. Beach is beautiful. House is very well equipped. Deck is a great hangout, though suggest some shade. I 'm feeling a little put out about being charged an additional $200.00 pet cleaning fee, but dogs shed, and they really enjoyed the beach. We will book again.

Good location with great access to the beach. Plenty of shopping and good restaurants nearby. Not the cleanest place we’ve stayed in. No lounge chairs. Plenty of streaming channels to watch, but could not get regular programming.

We had a fantastic time enjoying the views from every window inside as well as sipping coffee and wine from the deck overlooking the beach! We loved riding our bikes through the beautiful neighborhoods, quaint downtown area and the tunnel at the fort. The accommodations offer everything needed for your stay. Well equipped kitchen allowed for easy cooking. Comfortable furniture and a great dining table made you feel at home. Highly recommend this rental!
