Great location and advertised with full amenities. We rented for 6 days for my family to get together to honor my father’s passing because he cherished family time in Florida. The trouble started in the morning, the tile floor in the kitchen was sopping wet. I thought that the ice maker was stuck. I mopped up the floor. However, the kitchen floor continued to flood, which indicated a bigger problem. I contacted the property management that night. Their initial response was to blame us for the flooding, but they did send a repair man to the property the following day. For the whole family vacation, we had a non-functioning refrigerator. We lost all the groceries and I had to buy multiple coolers and ice daily. With the repair man coming multiple times, mopping kitchen floor constantly, and frequent and multiple shopping trips for ice and to restock food left little time to enjoy time with the family and time in sharing memories of my father. I reached out to the property management again and was hoping for some reimbursement or compensation for our troubles. However, their response was unsympathetic. They responded that this huge problem met their standard 10% refund on their rental profit ($100). It wasn’t as much about the money, but the loss of family time, and the level of stress it created during an emotional week. I would not recommend this place or any other locations serviced by this property management. They are not customer friendly.

house is in a great location, neighbors and area is quiet.nice for a relaxing and peaceful stay.

A lovely home but the check in process was very difficult.
4.6
The property was clean and fresh. Kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of pool toys. Although it sort of worked, you might want to invest in a new coffee maker and additional towels. Overall we loved it and would recommend it to our friends👍❤️

This is the first time we rented a house for a month so we were unsure how it would be. The experience was wonderful, and we would have rented it for March of 2025, but it was already rented. Excellent location and wonderful property.
4.6
This is a lovely home with every amenity. The location is perfect.
4.6
The house is perfect! Everything you need plus a pool, dock, and beautiful views! Punta Gorda is a wonderful town with fabulous restaurants and a small town, relaxed vibe. Would definitely re-book this house!

Great location, very comfortable really enjoyed the stay.

Before check-in, you must sign a separate contact and meet someone to give the signed document to at check in. All adults must sign the contract before staying here. Once you get passed the check in process, the house was great. Great location and enjoyed seeing some wildlife in the water behind the property.

This is a very clean and comfortable home with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Enjoyed the screened-in patio and pool, kayaks and fishing in the canal. Punta Gorda is a nice area. Be sure to visit Fishermen's Wharf.
There have been several comments about a lack of hot water. We did not have any problem. The kitchen sink had hot water. The master suite shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. The bed was very comfortable.
We had a mechanical problem during our stay. The property manager came over ten minutes after my call and had a repair company there that night. Could not ask for more attentive service.
We had a great vacation! Special thanks to Mr. Angel.
4.6
Lovely home with a pool in a lanai. I really liked that it was NO pets and NO smoking. There is a canal behind the house which has access to Port Charlotte Bay, however use of the dock was forbidden.
My only complaint was that the owner regulates the air conditioning. I am used to sleeping in cooler temperatures. Nightime was set for 75 degrees - a tad warm for a northerner.

This is an outstanding property in a great neighbor hood. The house is almost every bit a great as the listing. The few exceptions; 1) the house has some hurricane damage still. It happens, not their fault. 2) NO HOT WATER! Don't believe the hype. It does not work. The plumbing is a serious problem in this house. They will tell you it was installed backwards (huge red flag) it was just done wrong. We could not get 1 drop of hot water out of any faucet. Left, right, center, let it run....nothing.
Overall great place. With some love this would be a dream retirement home.
4.6
This property was exactly as advertised. It was very clean, spacious and close proximity to everything. Property manager was great and answered any questions we had. Enjoyed the bikes and pool. Would stay here again.
4.6
Stayed with 3 people for 3 nights. Played 3 local golf courses, all above average. Found a local fishing guide only 10 minutes from the house. Ate at various restaurants in the immediate area that were all very good. The house was very comfortable and the pool was the perfect touch to our stay after a long day on the golf course/boat.

This was probably our once in a lifetime vacation. The property more than equaled the pictures. Beautiful, quiet, the pool was wonderful. We used the bicycle s,I fell just stopping. Ha ha oh well old knees. Thank you. It's great.

Great, quiet location in PG. Home was clean and well taken care of. Pool was warm even without heater on. Short drive to any parks, fishermans village, or downtown. I was a bit overwhelmed with the list of rules that were sent, however, they were within reason. The only negatives were that size of the hot water heater was not for 6 guests, maybe for 2 so spread the showers out quite a bit. Also the coffee pot took about an hour to brew a half a pot. We have stayed in several rental homes and would definitely stay in this one again.
4.6
Very nice place. Convenient to downtown Punta Gorda and to I-75 for exploring the region. Great neighborhood - seemed safe and friendly, easy parking, not much traffic. Lots of space to spread out in the house. We didn’t have a chance to use the kayaks or the game room in the garage, but those are great touches. The lanai and pool area, and being right on the canal were fantastic. The property manager meeting us at check-in and giving us the quick tour was very helpful. Tip for future guests - hot and cold are reversed from what you’d expect on the kitchen sink faucet, but once you figure that out it works just fine. Definitely would stay here again.
4.6
Enjoyed the place did not receive the required booklet and was given the wrong code...water in kitchen never got hot!
4.6
We had a great time and the house was amazing. Just my opinion but all the rules should be on the website. If your worried about guests breaking things make them buy insurance through vrbo.
4.6
My husband and I booked this location, and it was a nice quiet/relaxing place to stay. Punta Gorda has many tourist attractions and delicious restaurants to visit. Weather was cooler than we wanted, but the heated pool was a nice touch to the place!
4.6
It was everything we needed and expected. Close to everything. We were there working in the hurricane impacted areas, was not a trip for leisure, but felt very comfortable there. Beds were very comfortable. Would book here again. TY!
4.6
Property was beautiful, nice pool and beautiful view on the canal. We were too nervous to use the extra amenities for fear of getting charged extra for something. Was weird he had to come to the house at check in to meet us. We had no hot water during our stay and couldn't even was dishes as dishwasher tablet would dissolve. Mr. Angel came and "checked the hot water heater" (turned it on) and then we just magically had hot water. He also made us feel stupid telling us we were turning the dials the wrong way, etc.

This home had been recently updated and the finishes were very nice-
Overall had a very comfortable feeling. My 19 year old son summed it up perfectly that we need to stay there every time we go to PG. And he’s pretty picky so that is saying a lot. The pool was great with access to the canal. Quiet neighborhood overall- we had a really great time!

We rented this house Apr 1, 2022 through Apr 8, 2022. We did not realize until May 7th that we were falsely accused and charged for pre-existing blind damage. True, my email was not checked for 4 weeks, but I have never been concerned that a full security deposit refund would be denied, much less be accused of property damage.
Yumi Pla accused us of having damaged “curtains” in a bedroom and enclosed pictures. My adult son stated he could not raise this shade more than 3 - 4 inches when we arrived, therefore he left the shade alone; assuming that Mr. Pla was aware of his faulty shade. Shame on us for assuming business ethics from this owner.
The pictures provided indicate 3 things (could not attach pictures):
1. The damage was caused by a faulty rolling mechanism at the top of this shade.
2. The shade material shows extreme thinning, indicating long term wear and tear from the rolling mechanism (not during our 7 day stay).
3. The frayed edges are obviously due to a faulty rolling mechanism and was done before our arrival; especially since the shade could not be raised.
A second opinion from a window treatment company confirmed our suspicions. Without any hesitation after looking at the pictures, this sales professional stated that this damage appeared to be from rolling mechanism issues; due to prolonged use, faulty manufacturing., or both. Again, this confirms that the damage to the shade was done BEFORE we arrived at Mr. Pla’s home.
We emailed Yumi Pla to discuss this and he only stated we were contacted on 4/8. He refused to answer another email or our questions. How can we as renters be held responsible for long-term wear and tear or a faulty mechanism? For this shade to be damaged during our stay, it would have needed to be completely retracted, which was impossible since it could only be moved 3 - 4 inches. His refusal to talk with us speaks volumes!
It is obvious that this damage was done prior to our arrival. Replacement for normal wear and tear or faulty mechanisms are not the responsibility of the renters. For all we know, this damage could have been done by the cleaners attempting to raise the shade between renters, and not wanting to take responsibility for the damage. Shame on me for assuming honesty and integrity from this VRBO owner.
Beware of false charges! Do not take the chance of having false charges applied to your credit card! There are plenty of other honest homeowners in Florida to rent from.
