Gorgeous little cottage, not far from centre of Stanthorpe. Our first visit to Stanthorpe was wonderful, with a lovely warm home to back to each evening. Debbie made us feel super welcome, from the a lit fire in the fireplace when we arrived, some Tim Tams to eat with our cuppa and the most delicious port to sip beside the fireplace. If you’re visiting Stanthorpe book in to Briar Rose Cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay at Briar Rose Cottage, we really appreciated the extra personal comforts provided by our host Debbie, the port, biscuits and coffee pods. Communications was great and we appreciated the contact from Debbie to check if we need anything else to make our stay enjoyable.

Debbie was an excellent host and the property was cozy and perfect for two people for a short stay. The fireplace and all the extras that Debbie included in the package made the place super special and comfortable. Loved the area and the property is an easy walk to the center, a couple to nice coffee shops, pubs and a beautiful lake walk. Overall a great stay and enjoyable location.

Silky Oak Cottage was beautifully presented and so easy to find.
Perfect location not too far to the town but enough to feel you were in the countryside.
Lots of attention to detail to make one feel completely at home.
They had everything you would require for the perfect self catering holiday.
Communication and information from the hosts was excellent and simple to follow.
Highly recommend.

This amazing cottage was spotlessly clean, offering little extras, coffee, tea & Tim tams. In a great location, great communication from the owner, easy checking. One of the best properties I have had the pleasure of staying in.

Cozy Cottage
The cottage was cozy (quaint and small) and as described - a great getaway for couples (or single person). Our host, Debbie, was more than kind and always ready to help, answer questions.
The wood-burning stove was perfect for one of our cooler nights. The bathroom is a good size, the bed was super comfortable, the kitchen had everything. There is a nice timber deck just off the bedroom with lovely views of birds, sheep/goats, farmland. Also a large timber deck at the entrance (not in photos yet?).
I would strongly suggest this cottage for a short stay - we overbooked (6 nights!) and actually departed early. We were desperate for wifi (ie. not using our phone wifi). There is loud traffic noise during the day but quiet later at night. The winding stairs do lose their novelty after a day or so (esp. in the dark if a toilet visit is required).

Perfect cottage for a stay-over to the Scenic Rim
Lovely accommodation with sumptuous upstairs bedroom. Living room is made a little tight with the circular staircase and the log firebox but the fire would be welcome on a wintry night.

A home away from home
Our stay was an absolute pleasure. Silky Oak Cottage is compact and clean, with everything you could need provided for - the Tim Tams in the cupboard were a surprise and a particular joy! The location is quiet and secluded and very convenient as it close to many interesting attractions including Stanthorpe Main Street, dog walking tracks, parks, wineries, a cheese factory and a jam and cider factory amongst others. Thank you fir allowing us to have a wonderful, if somewhat brief break.

Comfort in Wine Country
Magical cottage to stay in close to both the town and the myriad of wineries, chocolatiers and cheese makers but still gives the air of seclusion. It had every convenience necessary for a comfortable stay plus the best wood fire ever. The Host is great, nothing too much trouble.

Debbie made us feel extremely welcome and contacted us during our stay to ensure everything was going well and whether she could help further. Briar Rose Cottages.
We stayed in Silky Oak Cottage. Such a beautiful little cottage. It was so fresh & clean. The fire was burning when we arrived, Tim tams on the tea tray, fresh little flowers.
All the little touches made it just stunning! There was everything we needed, for the perfect night away. Even the bed was just right, I slept like a baby.
The kangaroos outside in the morning, just topped it off.
It was close to the centre of town & such a short stroll home from a fabulous restaurant (Anna's Italian) after dinner.
Thank you Debbie. We will definitely be back!
