About this house rental
Our house is idyllic and quiet, yet very central in Mainz-Kostheim.
They live in the historic and oldest part of Mainz-Kostheim, one of the oldest wine-growing communities in the Rheingau. Here the Main flows into the Rhine
Partly from the 19th Century-old, lovingly redesigned holiday home renovated until 2016 is located in a very quiet area, protected by Kostheim's landmark, the Catholic Church of St. Kilian. It is only a few steps to the Main and the Maaraue recreation area.
From the terrace of your holiday home you not only have a wonderful view of the tree tops of the neighboring linden trees, but also of the St. Kilian church and the adjacent historic church wall, part of which forms the outer wall of your holiday home.
The house can accommodate up to 5 people.
The 65 square meter interior of the house is divided on 2 levels.
The ground floor offers a 24 sqm living room with a separate dining room, a daylight bathroom with a spacious shower and a cloakroom.
The couch in the living room can be used as a double bed (1.80 mx 2.00 m) and offers 2 other guests a very comfortable place to sleep by placing a memory topper.
An air bed with topper can also be set up in the dining room.
On the upper floor is the bedroom with a double bed (1.80 mx 2.00 m) and a fully equipped kitchen, where you can cook to your heart's content. Via the kitchen you reach the 11 sqm covered balcony, where you can see the church of St. Kilian and the Mediterranean-style courtyard of the property can sit comfortably and enjoy the tranquility with a glass of wine.
In the kitchen you will not only find an oven, a ceramic hob, a fridge with freezer, but also a coffee machine, kettle and toaster as well as other kitchen utensils and basic spices.
W-Lan and satellite TV are of course available as well as bed linen and towels.
The apartment also has a washing machine and dryer. An ironing board and iron are also provided.
Please note that the stairs between floors are narrower and steeper than ordinary stairs.
There is a lockable parking space for bicycles in front of the house.

Hervorragend, einfach hervorragend!
Komme gerne wieder, herzlichen Dank!

Echt schnuckelige Fewo zum Erkunden von Mainz/Wiesbaden
Toll Ferienwohnung in ruhiger Lage mit allem was man braucht- samt Waschmaschine/ Trockner.

Kleine, feine Ferienwohnung
Tolle Ferienwohnung, liebevoll ausgestattet mit Allem, was man braucht.

Super good apartment & location close to the river
It was super nice to stay at this really good place.
It feels like a real home. Really well equipped little house in a nice and quite location (accept the church next to the house. The bells can kick you out of sleep easily...)
The host were super friendly and provided good information for the surrounding.
We would definitely rent the apartment again!

Great stay for a family
We loved staying in this well appointed property. The porch was terrific and we loved looking over the church and enjoyed the location. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. Thank you for a great visit.

Alles bestens!
Man findet auch alles, was man so braucht.

Great decorating and wonderful little apartment
We had a great stay in this little apartment. It was clean and well decorated and well stocked with all the kitchen equipment. We were happy to get a load of laundry done as well. I enjoyed the church bells next-door

Everything was great, we have stayed in many rental apartments and have never seen a place that has been so thoroughly or thoughtfully outfitted for guests. It was amazingly clean, arrival was uncomplicated and easy from our standpoint, and the hosts were very accomodating and helpful. We were travelling with out one year old son and upon arrival there was a high chair, baby bed and toys, all set up and waiting for us. The location was also great if you have children, near playgrounds and lots of area for walks with the stroller along the Rhein and Main rivers and an easy walk to Mainz city centre. For the Weihnachtsmarkt or going out in the evening the bus connections were also easy to navigate and the stop was a 1 minute walk from the front door of the apartment. We can not recommend this place highly enough, we will gladly stay there any time again and hope to do so on our next trip back to Mainz.

This apartment is amazing! You feel like you can get away from the rat race here.
The owners catered to our every need. They met us at the apartment and even had special treats for our dog! The apartment is right on the river and is about a 3 mile walk along the river to the city of Mainz and the Guttenberg Museum. I would highly recommend staying here and plan on another visit soon.

Wow!!
An adorable apartment in a quaint neighborhood! We are a family of 5 (2adults and 3 kids including 2 teenagers) traveling from the states and enjoyed the lovely apartment and had plenty of room. The hosts were amazing to work with and helped us so much. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would love to come back.

Great place!
My husband and I have stayed in several vacation rentals over the years and this is one of our favorites. The location is great close to the river. The house is very clean and equipped with anything that you may need. It was perfect for 2 adults but would fit a family with up to 2 children as well I think. I would like to say that it was the small touches that the hosts took time to do that sets this place apart from others. They left us a plate of fresh German donuts (Kreppel) some water, fresh fruit and small snacks. These things are appreciated after a long day of travel. The hosts were always quick to respond to any questions that we had. We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to this area.

Look NO further. 12 out of 10 rating!
We traveled from Canada and were personally greeted by the hosts who gratuitously picked our family up from the airport! The home is lovely with comfortable beds and wonderful living space with quiet, private deck. The kitchen was WELL equipped for cooking you own meals. Mainz is within walking distance or a short, easy to take train ride. The quiet village is quaint with many restaurants and small cafes for meals. A grocery store is a short distance walk and material for touring the area was included by the host.
The home is perfect for couples, single guests and families with small children through to teenagers. Not recommended for older guests who have problems climbing chairs. Large enough space on main floor to accommodate wheelchair access however keep in mind the kitchen is on the second floor. The main floor has a fantastic living room and dining room area. The sofa converts to a comfortable double bed.
All in all, a wonderful, newly renovated space that is a perfect get away for those looking to tour the area.
We are happy to recommend, highly, this home with its wonderful hosts.

“Támara and Heiko were simply awesome. From the minute my family arrived, during, and at departure. The apartment is loaded with those basic, and more, items you would expect at home. In fact, we felt in many ways at "home". Simply put, you will not make a mistake if you book this apartment. And if there's anything you believe is not to your liking, or perhaps out of place, which I seriously doubt, they probably will do anything within reasonable means to resolve it. My father, who is 75 years of age, needed a stool/chair to shower, I indicated to Tamara that I would go purchase one, before I could even get the n the car, she was calling me to inform that she already had one for me, if there's any issues you can count on them being there as it occurred when my foreign family (Costa Rica) were not sure how to operate the German washer. Thx Tamara and Heiko you made this experience a wonderful one! Sincerely, Eduardo ”
