About this lodge
This island haven offers privacy while being only minutes away from Waiheke's restaurants, cafes, beaches, sports park and vineyards.
The Lodge is adjacent to the Regional Park with bush walks to the beach and fabulous views towards the west and the setting sun.
The upper level is impressively spacious with its central kitchen and huge living areas with wood fire opening out through french doors to the veranda where guests can relax, enjoy a meal and take in the magnificent views. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with champagne, wine and soft drinks glasses, cups, plates, dishes, side plates and all cutlery for 24 guests.
The main lounge has a full entertainment system: 65in Sony TV, Sky sport, Spotify, Netflix, Blue ray DVD player, selection of DVD's and high speed wireless internet. The second lounge has two sofas, TV with freeview, Playstation 3 and DVD, plus a 6 foot studio grand piano for musicians to enjoy. The second kitchen has oven, hob, fridge, freezer and seats eight.
Set on 18 acres of native New Zealand bush with sealed driveway, flat lawn, established garden and fruit trees, the Lodge is close to Ecozip with the Batch Winery and restaurant within east walking distance.
The bedrooms are located on the lower level with a large verandah shaded by bush with hanging chairs and a jacuzzi bath for one (or two).
Notes on bed layout - Bookabach/Homeaway counts a bunk bed as one bed whereas one bunk bed means two separate beds (one bed on top, one underneath). So without using either of the fold out sofas, there are beds to sleep 19 people separately and 24 if couples share the king and queen beds. In addition, the fold out sofas can accommodate two more couples or two individuals sleeping separately if required - only linen costs applies.
Bond - a $1000 bond is payable a week before arrival direct to Waiheke Lodge Ltd, refunded 48 hours after departure.
Stainless steel buckets are provided outside for smokers - no smoking inside please.
Please respect the rural neighbourhood and keep noise inside after midnight - much appreciated.
The private grass airfield is available by appointment only and used infrequently.
Extras: Cleaning NZ$440.00 per stay; Linen NZ$20.00 per person; Please leave the Lodge tidy and put dishes in the dishwasher before you leave - many thanks.
All linen is supplied including all sheets and pillowcases, bath towels and face flannels per person. Hand towels and toilet rolls plus hand sanitiser and paper towels are provided in the bathrooms. Tea towels are included in the kitchen, plus kitchen roll, plus milk on arrival, with tea and instant coffee and basic condiments.

Waiheke Lodge felt like home, with beautiful panoramic views and surrounded by bush. The layout and furnishings are lovely and comfortable. The kitchen easy to work in. It would have been easy to just sit on the deck and watch the world pass by as we chatted!
Trevor our host made everything so easy and was readily available if we needed any help. Check out was seamless with very little for us to do, other than leaving things tidy.
Would fully recommend Waiheke Lodge if you have a large group and want to make day trips out then come home to relax.

We had a wonderful time at Trevor’s house; it exceeded our expectations, especially how amazingly equipped the house was, how comfortable, and what astonishing views it afforded from the veranda. All in all a superb experience and it allowed us to have a wonderful extended family Christmas.

Trevor was incredibly helpful. Our request to stay at the property was very last minute, but Trevor managed to pull out all stops to make it happen for us. It was a very special time for the family to get together and we’re just so great full that Trevor managed to make it work for us all. Some very special memories were made over the weekend and the property was immaculate and all our needs were very well provided for. Would recommend 11/10

A well equipped and maintained bach, which was the ideal spot for our corporate 2-day off-site. Versatile enough to handle a large number of people, facilitate sessions and most importantly get social at the end of the day!!
