I had such a good stay, the location was absolutely amazing right in the middle of the action in Bergerac. The river was a stones throw, there was an amazing restaurant right outside the door. It was quite and I felt very comfortable. It was so nice to have the option of walking down to the store and cooking with fresh product, or going to any of the amazing restaurants around.
Genuinely there was nothing I didn't like.

De bonnes instructions pour l'entrée et l'usage du logement transmis 48h avant notre arrivée.
Accés par escalier un peu délicat.

A very beautiful and unique old world apartment with lots of thoughtful touches. pictures cannot do this apartment justice
i really liked the property and would love to return, but it wouldn’t be ideal for anyone that has mobility issues

Très beau petit appartement confortable
Le chauffage au début en arrivant! Quelques temps après c’était correct!

Studio mignon et confortable. Bon service pour info.

Fabulous location, loved the apartment aside from the floorboards were really squeaky both in our apartment and above which does get annoying to be honest but then it is a beautiful old building. A new shower unit is also needed but then Sophie is aware of this so all good. The local people in Bergerac are really friendly and patient with you when speaking pigeon French and we absolutely loved it. We found the airport really helpful in assisting us getting a taxi to the apartment and the tourist office was amazingly helpful and if you venture upstairs there is a lovely collection of wines and a courtyard whereby you can sit outside. Will definitely return to Bergerac.

Clean, as pictured, superb location, excellent communication and generous assistance. Really charming and unique building.
I don’t expect any gifts etc, but there was a card on the table that said it hoped I enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine - but there was no wine, so that was a little confusing.

Hot water was off for 3 days of the week.

Nice room - attic room - with all facilities you need for a one night stay, if you don't mind going up the stairs to the top of the building. The host was helpful to get me inside using the code and key locker.
I am 1.87cm tall and I lost counting the times I bumped my head against all the low hanging beams. This room is perfect for smaller people. This may be different for the other rooms. Not sure what to do in case of an emergency since there is only one escape, via the wooden stairs.

The location couldn't be better, the place is wonderful.. There is history in every little bit. Sophie was wonderful. The stairs are Luke something in a museum and it was a privilege to go up them.. We adored the place!
There is nothing to not like. Unless you want a modern faceless cube... It's divine

location excellent. Attention to detail and little extras fabulous. Lovely clean bedding. Highly recommended!
Nothing!

Location was 10 minute taxi ride from airport and was in an excellent position for sight seeing around Bergerac.
We were able to contact Sophie, via Booking.com or WhatsApp, with any query we had and, had quick responses from Sophie. We stayed in room Le Colombier.
We were glad that a portable Air Conditioning appliance was available to use during our stay as the weather was particularly hot.
The room had its own charm with exposed beams, so mind your head, in keeping with age of the building. It was very adequate for the both of us.
Staff at the Tourist Information Centre were very helpful and the wine tasting was excellent.
Not to do with accommodation:
On arrival at airport no taxi or buses available for onward transport, luckily Sophie had arranged a taxi to meet us, many people left stranded.
Also surprised that most of the restaurants and bars in Bergerac were closed Friday PM.

The location was superb. And the apartment was very cozy with all the things you need for a short stay. Easy check in and very accommodating host.

quirky and excellent location would recommend
beams a bit low but not too tall so not a problem

love the fact this is an old authentic building in the heart of old Bergerac.
the floorboards are a bit creaky, but that’s also part of the charm.

We rented this house for a long weekend. The house is old and quite humble: don't expect any luxury or grandeur. Of course you may expect a decent bed and that's were all went wrong. My 2 persons bed turned out to be one cheap chip wood bed and some kind of spiral frame, put together but not attached. The bed collapsed when I was sitting in the middle, hurting my back painfully. More surprised than shocked I looked and saw that one of the corners was lacking a basic screw: it simply cracked at the weakest point and collapsed. To avoid any further damage I found a way to support the broken leg and informed the owner. Frankly, I was rather annoyed by this situation but decided not to file a complaint since I didn't want to spoil my weekend.
That's when a very uncomfortable discussion started: I needed to pay right away 1000 euro to replace the bed. I declined, stating this was a faulty bed. Price went to 500 but only if I payed immediately. Once again I explained the situation but the owner just repeated herself. I refused any responsibility, telling it was her responsibility to take care of a decent bed. However, I felt bad for her so I offered her 150 euro for the replacement of the broken chip wood bedside, emphasising it was a gesture of good will, not a confession. Owner once again ignored and told us she took the whole deposit (Deposit was taken before arrival. Not uncommon but peculiar and to me it counts as a red flag). So basically I felt for this obvious scam, sleeping in a uncomfortable, single bed -AND paying for a new one. I would have given a 4 star review but after the absurd conversation no star at all, sorry.
So if you are a gambler renting this place, you better bring your own bed. But if find yourself a new bed, do know I paid for your night's rest so you don't have to pay an extra fee.

convenience. clean, private
no view.

Don't left the stairs put you off. Very comfortable, clean studio, in the old town and easy access to the town. Great information provided by Sophie.

in the old centre of Bergerac - beautiful old building but very secure. right in the heart of the old centre.
there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property - all good.
4.5
Central location for historic area and river.
The staircase is treacherous. Sensory lights only come on when you reach the bottom. Would be nice to have a small lamp in living room. Towels could do with being replaced with new ones.
4.5
Excellent location, very central, 2-3 min walk to restaurants, shops etc. Street very quiet. Amenities in apartment good. Plenty of room.
Extremely creaky floorboards in apartment, and squeaky bathroom door. We could have lived with this, but considerable noise from apartment above, with floorboard noise again , could hear people above walking around , quite disturbing, and difficult to sleep. Spoilt the experience.

The fantastic location and very clean and well equipped: Even a fan in the bedrooms which was much appreciated.
The floorboards were a bit creaky in places, but we expected this in an old character property.

Beautiful, well equipped apartment in lovely old building.
Excellent location.
Very good communication with owner.
We were only there for 1night but would have liked to stay longer.
Could not fault it!

it was pretty and in a good location
it was so hot that i could not relax at all. the aircon didn’t work so well and I felt uncomfortable but this is more due to the heat wave than the property.
4.5
Beautiful use of the original features of the property.
4.5
Excellent location in the heart of old Bergerac. Just a few steps away from restaurants and bars.
