Breakfast was so tasty and fresh.

Amazing location and friendly and professional welcome to their hotel
It was too short a stay. We discovered Bergerac by accident in our car trip and wished we could have stayed longer

Beautiful, quirky, central and friendly owners

The accommodation is totally unique and beautiful and in a perfect spot right in the centre of Bergerac, just a few steps from the Dordogne and lots of cafés and restaurants. Alan is a helpful host and very friendly.
There is nothing to dislike about the accommodation and Bergerac is well worth a visit.

I loved the character of the house, the breakfast, the private terrace & the hosts!
Shower cubicle was a little bit cramped, and there wasn't any shower gel supplied.

Amazing historic charm with exposed wooden beams & pretty terrace off the bedroom. The owners were very friendly & helpful with booking restaurants & transportation. The breakfast was great— coffee, bread & pastry, cheese, yogurt, delicious jams all excellent.

Everything was fantastic!
Was a bit pricy, but you understand why when you see the room!

Brilliant location, in the heart of the historical area. Hosts were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful property. Very old and beautifully maintained so I didn’t mind the low ceilings! Glad we booked the smaller room as it had an amazing outside veranda.
Nothing, it was perfect.

A beautiful historic property right in the centre of Bergerac old town, with lots of unique features. The room was large and very nicely decorated, with en suite bathroom (good size) and loo (cramped). the main door into our room from the hallway had no lock, which wasn’t a problem for us but might worry some guests. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly, and provided a delicious breakfast as well as organising a taxi to the airport for us on a complicated day when much of Bergerac was closed for the triathlon. They were very accommodating.
We liked everything!

This is a unique property, full of charm. While it is not ADA compliant (built in the late 1500’s), I managed quite well even with a new knee and hip. The location is perfect, next to restaurants, the tourist office, and the Dordogne River. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The breakfast, served in the charming kitchen, was excellent. You will enjoy your memorable experience staying here.
I had to pay attention to
my surroundings.

Great location, very nice old building, the hosts were very helpful. The breakfast was a bit bland basically bread and jam.
Breakfast could have been better, not much choice

We adored our stay here. It could not have been better. The house is beautiful, full of charm and history. Our hosts were amazing from start to finish. The morning of our departure we stupidly got our hire car towed away for parking the previous night where the market was the next day. Our hosts went out of their way to help us. Phoning the car pounds and the police to locate our car, driving us around to get the paperwork etc and taking us to both the police - who were actually closed because of a strike , but they convinced them to open just to help us, and back and to the car pound. We were and are so grateful for their help.
We would have given 5 stars for everything before this happened and if booking.com let us go above to 100 stars we would give this.
The hotel is just perfect for couples looking for a wonderful stay and your hosts are the most wonderful people .
Absolutely nothing

It's a lovely historic house where the hosts have taken great care to preserve its charm and quirkiness. Its location is perfect, right in the center of the old town, so you can walk everywhere. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
Our hosts were really helpful, showing us where the car park was located which is a few minutes' walk away from the B & B and finding me some fruit for breakfast as I'm gluten free so sadly couldn't indulge in the wonderful pastries and bread provided. You get the chance to stay in a home and imagine what life would have been like all those years ago - don't stay here if you prefer modern hotels but if you want something different and unique it's well worth it.
Its drawbacks are part of its charm. It doesn't have air conditioning but it's an old house and you can't compare it to modern hotels. There are no locks on the door but again it was secure and there are only two rooms for guests anyway.

excellent location, quirky
no water provided in room even in extreme heatwave!

so unique - Beautiful old period building with so many wonderful old period pieces everywhere in the property. Hosts were very friendly & entertaining & made our stay very memorable

It is a 16th century building which is full of character. Breakfast was good, hosts were excellent. Hotel is in the old town 2 metres from the river and opposite a number of restaurants.
Shoes not allowed in hotel, would have taken slippers had we known we were climbing two flights of wooden stairs in bare feet. The room has a beam diagonally across the entrance, not too high but easy to forget it was there.

Very welcoming hosts, historic building, tastefully decorated and a very full and tasty breakfast. Would go back happily.

Great place to stay, great location

The location is fine. But there is no parking nearby.
The problem I have in writing a review is that the first room we had was in the roof space, meaning ducking under flying beams to move around the room and going into the tiny bathroom. Also it was up a second steep staircase, made more hazardous by the stockinged-feet regime. It would receive two stars.
We were moved to a more conventional room on the first floor which would receive four stars. Good facilities here.
The contrast is stark. Only the room on the first floor is worth the price.
4.5
Breakfast was very good. Location in old town centre made exploring on foot very easy. Near to restaurants and bars.
