Great place, secluded and quiet. Great place to visit with family. Great views, fun hiking trails and lots of deer. If you want to get away from the busyness of town, this is the place. Easy drive to the lake.

Our family travels a lot, this may have been our favorite place yet! Peaceful, beautiful, and very welcoming! We loved the multiple and well marked hikes on the property, morning coffee, sunset dinners, and evening stars in the hot tub! Everything in the house was clearly organized and labeled. The location is very private, yet we were able to easily get to Silverwood Theme park and Lake Coeur d’Alene for swimming days! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Absolutely loved the house the second we pulled up. It was fun watching the gophers from the deck and exploring trails on the property. Fully stocked with everything we needed. Would 100% reccomend and stay again in the future.

This was such a beautiful property. Very private and quiet. Best stocked VRBO I have ever been in, with everything well labeled. The owners were so nice and had amazing communication. We stayed here for our anniversary and it was very rejuvenating and private. So close to Wolf Lodge for dinner one night as well. We enjoyed all the creatures and animals we saw, except all the Ticks. They were bad right now. Might suggest to have bug spray if you stay. The only thing I would have a complaint on is there was dog hair in a few places that kept getting on our clothes. Other than that this place is a must stay and we will stay again.

If you are looking for a quite secluded stay that is a ~20 min drive to lake CDA, downtown, and right up the mountain from one of the best steakhouses in the country, THIS PLACE IS IT. The property itself is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views and private hiking trails on the 40 acre plot. The amount of wildlife we saw in just 3 days was unbelievable. This house is fully stocked with everything you can think of as this is the owner’s primary home when they are not graciously renting. I will be coming back with my nieces and nephews anytime we can get away.

What a treat it was to stay here! The house is lovely, well appointed, clean and we appreciate that is is pet friendly with no carpet for those with allergies (and for cleanliness). There were only two of us and our two small dogs, but the master bedroom was so comfortable with it's comfy memory foam mattress and large connected bathroom. Beyond that, the house itself is just breathtaking and focuses on the beauty of nature. We appreciated that we did not hear anything but the forest and the critters throughout the property. Our dogs loved sunbathing in front of the expansive sliding glass doors and enjoyed watching the critters grazing on the lawn. Finally, the owners are so very kind and truly care about giving their renters a wonderful experience which makes the stay even better knowing you are renting from wonderful people. Overall, this is the best property that we have ever rented and would highly suggest it to anyone looking for a place of quiet, peace and rejuvenation.

Everything in the description was spot on. Beautiful views! Hot tub was a plus, a little small but still nice to relax in. Managers were easy to contact and responded right away.

We stayed here for a few days and it is a beautiful house with so many amenities and properly located. I’m less than 15 minutes you are right at the CdA lake; in 25 you’re in town if you need any additional groceries.
The host Mark was awesome helping us during a blackout caused by a storm by bringing us a generator very quickly.
Me and my family will certainly be back

My family stayed here - it was our first time to Idaho... and the owners were very happy to provide recommendations of things to do and places to check out. The views were magnificent, trails well maintained and you could tell the owners take pride in maintaining the property and ensuring it is comfortable for their guests.
We did have to contact the care takers during our stay and they were extremely responsive and attentive.
We did a lot of exploring of the area and were always glad to return back to "home-base" at the end of the day to relax, unwind, and spend some quality time together. I would highly recommend :)

Great place
This is a nice place to explore outside and have some peace and quiet. The owners have really taken the time to explain and label where everything is. This is one of the best outfitted Vrbo kitchens I have seen.

Memorial Day Mountain Light
This property is amazing! The home is set in the middle of a beautiful forest. The view from the living room is magical. We never had to turn on the TV during our whole stay.
The place has several fun spaces to try out. We loved the greenhouse and the hot tub. Our stay was perfect even though it did rain every day. We spent time with family and 2 dogs and had a blast. We visited all the nature hike trails and were impressed with how well maintained they are.
The host was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed.
If you are looking for a peaceful mountain getaway, this is it!

Best summer vacation house
We had a wonderful stay over July 4. We took our hound and spent day trips getting to know the Coeur d'Alene area. We tried out the local hikes right off the house! The views are spectacular and the house was so comfortable- best vacation!

Recent stay
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful 40-Acre Nature Retreat. The view is gorgeous. Unfortunately it is already booked for the timeframe we could come next year.

Excellent Property for Getting Away
We enjoyed staying in this remote home that also offered close proximity to Coeur d'Alene. It was clean and very well stocked for our two week stay and was very comfortable for four guests. We also brought our two dogs that enjoyed the property as much as we did. I would recommend this house for those that enjoy the serenity of nature and being away from the hustle of the city.

Amazing nature getaway!
Two story house was plenty spacious for our seven guests. Remote location giving our family the time to spend in the CDA mts. Completely stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare and cook all meals over Thanksgiving weekend. Enjoyed the groomed nature trail on the property and the beautiful sunsets we witnessed from the deck! Sondra was very responsive to all questions and needs! Highly recommend the property to others who want some quiet nature time and we would love to stay again!

We had an amazing time! We enjoyed our meals out on the deck with an amazing view. This property is very quiet and peaceful. We loved that it wasn’t very far from silverwood.

Oasis in the trees
This house was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful scenery all to ourselves.

Lovely place, gets very hot mid afternoon making food preparation space very hot and stuffy.
Thankful we brought umbrellas for the deck tables as we used them as pseudo window coverings for the 3 of 2 sliding glass doors hoping to bring the temperature down enough to cook food. BBQ was left on from previous renters making it unavailable to us, forcing us to use the stove, increasing the heat. Dog hair left on unvaccuumed furniture in the basement.

Things to know
Nice views, not close to anything. Could have been a little cleaner. Needed a vacuum cleaner. Limited cell coverage, good internet/ Kitchen had good set up, bed was fine

Breathtaking Views
We loved our Memorial Day weekend at this cabin. The views were amazing and we had a great overall experience at this property. We received great guidance on getting to the property ahead of the trip, which was really appreciated since it is not easy to find. It is a bit of trip into Coeur D'Alene town (~25 minutes), but if you are looking for great mountain views and plenty of privacy, this is a great place. The house itself was excellent, especially the kitchen with ample cooking supplies. The view from the upstairs deck and kitchen/family room areas are what we will remember most.

Peaceful and restorative!
We spent a wonderful week at Mountain Light. It was the perfect place for our family to unwind. The property is incredible with gorgeous views, wildlife and hiking trails! The home is very unique and was ideal for our family of 5. The property is the perfect distance from lake Coeur d'Alene and the downtown area. It was great that we had easy access to all the spoils of the area, but could return each evening to our private nature retreat! So quiet we slept like rocks. A few days of our trip we just stayed on the property, hiked, took pictures, lounged and relaxed. When we return to Coeur d'Alene, this is where we'll stay. Away from the bustle of the town in the peacefulness of the mountain light...
