During our stay, there was an issue with the AC, no fault of the host. They handled it extremely well, very understanding and provided excellent communication. They put our family up at a hotel, which was in walking distance. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

The carriage house on Broad St is a great location! Linda & Ruthie were great communicators, friendly & hospitable. The house is clean, comfortable & was great for 4 people! It was home away from home! Would stay again & highly recommend!!

This was the perfect place for us to spend our time in Charlestown. It was very convenient to all of the things we wanted to see and do.

I would book the Carriage House within a heartbeat if I was visiting Charleston again. It was absolutely perfect and you can't beat the location.
The place was super comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable with a gorgeous duvet for extra warmth.
Ruthie gave us some amazing recommendations when we arrived which we immediately tried.
For been perfectly located, the place is lovely and quiet and private. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there and felt very comfortable during our stay.
And any communication with Ruthie was fantastic. She is a pleasure to deal with.
Thank you so much Ruthie. We will be back.

The mid 1700’s carriage house is a lovely, well cared for and comfortable rental in a perfect location for walking through historic Charleston. Our host was extremely helpful and responsive. Her mom, who lives in the main house, was delightful to chat with. We would love to stay here again.

This property was within walking distance to almost everything we had planned! The host was amazing and all the little extra touches in the house such as thick, plush towels, coffee pods, treats in the refrigerator made it so enjoyable! Also, you won’t find an easier check in, check out process and I hope to visit again soon!

My family had a great time relaxing at the carriage house for four days over the Christmas and New Year period. The house and the property are well maintained and well supplied (which has been rare since the pandemic). The owner/manager even provided coffee, cream, juice, champagne, nuts, cheese snack, and I probably missed a few. We appreciated these small extras, esp. the cream since we have many coffee drinkers in our family.
The property is located in the most centrally located spot that we have ever rented. You can easily walk to everything in the French Quarter and Downtown, which is great because parking can be expensive in the area. For the first three days there, we did not even move our car, which is parked right on the property.
If I visit Charleston again, this will be my #1 choice. It's truly hard to beat.

We love this place - convenient to everything, nice small kitchen with what you need, living room with TV with streaming, as well as a Blu-Ray/DVD player, and a warm and helpful hostess. I wish we owned this place.

Ruthie was very helpful starting from before we arrived and throughout. We rented both adjoining properties and combined they comfortably accommodated 5 of our total group of 24. The beds were very comfortable and the backyard/patio area worked perfectly for our golf group to gather a couple times. The surrounding neighbors were very nice and made us feel very welcome. Its location is so convenient to all things downtown. We had a fantastic stay and will be reserving them again for sure.

Wonderful historical property exceptionally well located about half way between the Battery and the Market. History is all around you and easily reached via foot. And the area has numerous excellent restaurants. Plus ajacent Washington Park made for a very quite stay.

We come to Charleston a few times every year and have stayed many different places. The Carriage House at 68 Broad was a charming delight! Very comfortable and a perfect location. The snacks and champagne were a surprise treat. Our host was quick to respond to all communication. We’d definitely stay again.

We loved being in walking distance to all of the key spots in downtown. The outdoor courtyard area was lovely and the upstaris overlooks the 1st park in Charelston, Washington Square. The space had all we needed for the 3 of us. Highly recommend if you want to be in the historic area!

This was our second time at this property. It is beautiful and clean and the perfect location. The process could not have been smoother and the champagne, OJ and snacks waiting for us was the perfect touch! We will be sure to look into this property again for our next visit!

My 3 sisters and I spent 4 nights in Charleston. This quaint mid 1700 Carriage House was an excellent choice for us. The courtyard and gated parking were superb. It was centrally located and we were able to walk everywhere except Shem’s Creek. Ruthie was the best. She made checking in and out painless. Also enjoyed visiting with her mother, who lives on the property. Would recommend this property to anyone spending time in Charleston.

A wonderful house with a rich history- we were able to walk everywhere and return to a cozy retreat. The hosts are so welcoming and our stay was very enjoyable!

Everything about this week-long getaway was perfect. We were within easy walking distance of so many restaurants and shops, and within a 20 minute drive of Folly Beach and the beaches on Sullivan’s Island if we did opt to use the car. Driving was rarely necessary. The Host provided everything we could have possibly needed with regard to the household, and the laundry facilities on site meant we could pack lightly as far as clothing was concerned. The Host was also very responsive when a question did arise. This stay in Charleston was one of our family’s favorite vacations. There’s so much to see, to do, and so much good food!

This house was in the perfect location! Everything was within walking distance of many great restaurants and shopping on King Street only minutes away. Meeting the owners, Daniel, Linda, Ruthie, her two boys, and i can't forget the dogs, Evelyn and Dottie, was a big plus. Very lovely and personable family. This house has been in their family for over 300 years and has been very well cared for. Lovely decor, comfortable beds, and charming bricked patio right outside our kitchen door. Anyone staying here will surely enjoy it as much as we did. Book it today, you won't be disappointed. Many thanks to the family for sharing this beautiful home with us.

This property on Broad Street was the perfect respite for our celebration. The Carriage House was in a great location on Broad Street. We could walk to most places in the historic area.
The accommodations with a double bed and two twin beds upstairs with a full bed met our needs nicely. And the couch downstairs could also be used to sleep on comfortably. The kitchen was great when we decided not to eat at one of the many restaurants available.
We left with a smile on our face, hoping to return in the future!

Hi, four college friends from the 1970’s flew in from four different cities to stay in this perfectly appointed and located carriage house in the French Quarter. It could not have been more perfect. The house, surrounding area and location are absolutely wonderful and charming. The host is gracious and easy to communicate with. We absolutely hope to come back. We are all seasoned and frequent travelers and this property and host deserve more than 5 stars. Thanks for a memorable time!

This is an excellent place to stay - located in the heart of the Historic District (right by the Four Corners of Law). Easy walking distance to parks, restaurants, shopping, churches, galleries, historic buildings. Private carriage house with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Very gracious hosts. Once we parked, we did not have to move the car to get to places we wanted to visit. First weekend in December - The Citadel concert and Charleston's Christmas parade.

We love this property. We are multiple repeat customers. I've already sung its accolades more than once. This time, the fountain and camellias caught our eye - how pretty!

Perfect location for our special time in Charleston. Located very close to the four corners of justice, you are within walking distance to everything. Ruthie is an exception host, she ensured my wife had a full length mirror and provided up with a welcome package. Ruthie also provided a guest guide of the area with walks and other info for the downtown area. We will definitely stay again.

First time to visit and this was the perfect location for us. Close enough to walk to any of the many restaurants, historic homes and sites but quiet courtyard to sit and relax between visits.
Spacious first level and comfortable bedrooms
up the narrow staircase.

The property is very charming. The location is close to everything but set back from the road so you have lots of privacy. The owners were incredibly friendly and provided some nice treats upon arrival. Would definitely stay here again.

The location cannot be beat. This property is in the heart of downtown Charleston and the parking alone is worth a ton. The check-in and check-out was seamless.
