We had a great time staying at Lion Square Lodge. The location was amazing. You really can't get closer to the Eagle Bahn Gondola. We enjoyed the many amenities the lodge offers such as the pool, hot tubs, sauna, cookies, hot chocolate, and helpful advice. The owner is wonderful to work with and works hard to your every need. It was. joy to meet her. Our family of five highly recommends this condo!

We stayed here for a girls weekend. The three of us fit perfectly in the small condo. As stated there is no view but the unit is very quiet. It had a comfortable sitting area to chat and a full kitchen. We did not use this as you are so close to everything. The location is unbeatable and there’s a ski valet right on the base area. Just put on your boots and go. The property had two hot tubs and a pool with a view of the mountains. The lobby had coffee, hot chocolate and cookies. Meredith is a wonderful host who made sure we got the best parking place. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and well-kept pools and common areas. Short walk to town where you can enjoy shops, restaurants, etc. Only one complaint was we came back mid-day one afternoon and there was no parking available so we had to pay $35 for overnight public parking further away and walk back to the condo. Maybe there could be vouchers or something for when that happens?

We stayed for three nights in August for a summer wedding. The location and property amenities are excellent. The bed was very comfortable, and the unit had everything we needed. The location of the underground garage, just steps from the unit's back door, made for easy access to the Village and the creekside trails. I would highly recommend his unit as a high-value location for a Vail vacation at any time of year.

We had a great stay! The unit was accurately described, and you truly cannot beat the location. Meredith was a great host, and she provided us with recommendations and information throughout our stay. There is no view, which is accurately noted in the listing, but the unit is so close to the underground parking garage that it more than makes up for the lack of view by having direct access to the outdoors. With children, the convenience of a ski in, ski out location helped keep us on the slopes as long as possible each day and made it easy to go to dinner and get ice cream in the evenings. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in this unit on a future trip to Vail!

This was our first Vail trip with kids, and it wont be the last. The location is perfect-mere steps to rent equipment, ski school for the kiddos and to the gondola. Lots of restaurants a close walk away and the ambiance was perfect.

Excellent location and great value
The apartment is in a complex right next to the Eagle Bahn gondola. Couldn't be better! The apartment is clean and well-stocked, the complex comes with great amenities (two outdoor hot tubs, heated outdoor pool, sauna, gym, many cozy common spaces), and the owner is super-responsive and helpful. If we return to Vail, we will definitely consider this apartment again!

Fantastic location and service
You just can’t beat the location.
You are literally 20 feet from the Ski Rental place (charter) - I walked back and forth in my socks! And then another 30 yards to the ski valet and another 20 to the gondola. At end of the day, ski right up to valet, unclip, and then give them your skis and your back in the condo 30sec.
Meredith was fantastic to work with and very easy checkin process.
More than 4 people might get a bit crowded but it’s a fantastic place.

We just spent a week here over Thanksgiving break and it was absolutely wonderful! We have stayed at many hotels in Vail in the past (Sonnenalp, Vail Lodge, Tivoli, Doubletree, etc) and nothing compares to this condo. It was so CLOSE to the gondola! There is a locker where you store your skis and you grab them and walk a few steps to load the gondola or put your skis on and ride the chair lift. For those of you with kids, you will appreciate not having to haul skis and gear! The condo is also just a few steps from a clean, very well lit, heated garage which is a huge bonus (and NO parking fee!). You park, walk up 2 steps and the condo is less than 10 steps away. When we were just getting there my daughter commented on how nice it was to not have to haul our groceries, luggage, ski gear through a lobby or up elevators. The condo is beautiful with a very well stocked full kitchen, full bathroom, living room, large bar/eating area in kitchen, and 2 separate bedrooms (separated by the kitchen and living room for some nice privacy). They even have a griddle for making pancakes which my kids loved. The pool and hot tubs were amazing and our favorite thing to do after skiing (my son's second favorite thing to do was run out to the ski bridge every night and watch the snowcats come down the hill and over the bridge haha). Everything you'll need is within walking distance (grocery store, restaurants, ice rink, shopping, etc) and we never needed our car once we got there. Meredith was so kind and gave us great advice on activities! We even received a personal tour of the property with her which saved us so much time trying to learn where everything is. She definitely goes above and beyond to make sure your vacation is perfect. We hope to come back here many times as it will be hard to stay anywhere else now.

Location can’t be beat!
Location is spectacular! This unit is in such a great spot and the property manager is incredibly accommodating! However, this property needs updating. Not so much the unit itself, but the bedding is all old, including bed skirts, comforters, and shams. Rips. Holes. Pilling. Leather chair needs replaced. Additionally, sleeper bed was not available upon check in even though we noting having 5 guests. We had guests sleeping on the couch sans sheets and etc.
Had to put away all of previous guests dishes upon checking in.
Overall great spot! Couldn’t be better if you are not planning on spending time in a condo. Would stay here again if bedding is all refreshed. Again, very nice property manager who wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time in Vail.

Wonderful location, Attentive property owner!
Location,location,location! This unit is located right at the base of the Lionshead ski area and gondola. It is a bit small with no view but that is how it is presented. The price is great, fully equipped and the ski shop is literally 2 doors down. The Lionshead Square facilitates are wonderful and Meredith couldn’t be more helpful.

This is a great find!
Everything about this property is very nice and clean. It is on the small side, but my family of 4 fit just fine in it. Beds are comfortable. Property owner is very helpful and accommodating. The only negative thing I would say is that I wasn't able to check in/get the key once the room was clean/ready ... the owner prefers to meet you and take you there personally. Not a bad feature, but not always ideal either. Overall, would definitely recommend this property!

Evidently this condo has not had any capital put into it in decades.
The beds and couches were shot, the carpet is gross, I could go on all day.
Looking at other units in the lodge this unit was atypical, as the others looked updated and comfortable.

Lionshead condo review
Great communication by owner who met us upon arrival and gave tour of facility. Having the ski rental shop 20 seconds away is wonderful after traveling all day to get there. Great you can ski down the mountain, pop your skis off, hand them to attendant and go to your room. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need/bathroom has been recently remodeled as well. Beds are comfortable and underground parking is literally steps from the condo. No views of the mountain but this was known before we booked. We spent very little time during the day so this was not an issue for us as we were all on the mountain. Can't beat the price as well.

Convenience, convenience, convenience!
Meredith's condo is ideally located for easy access to everything we needed for our ski vacation. The ski rental shop is literally two doors away down an indoor hallway from the condo and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. There is a restaurant in the same building as the condo and the assigned parking location is inside a parking garage just a few steps from the back door, so no need to brush snow off the car when we wanted to drive. The Eagle Bahn gondola is a very short walk from the condo and valet ski storage means no hassles carrying equipment back and forth. Meredith is a friendly and gracious host and was very responsive to texts and phone calls as we scheduled our arrival and departure. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay!

Pefect for Teens - Exactly as Described
Stayed New Years week 2019. Cannot be any more convenient - closest ski in-ski out location to Eagle Bahn gondola/lift in Lions Head - 10 seconds away. Ski-in to adjacent door/deck of resort where ski valet waits to take your skis - pick them up there in morning. Boom - done. For parent with kids this is ideal - no schlepping equipment around. Also a ski shop on site at the lodge. Restaurant on site, outdoor heated hot tubs (2) and outdoor heated pool on site, work-out facility with treadmills, weights, etc., free movie rentals DVD player in room. Convenience/Amenities = everything you want.
Room itself was perfect for us - just as advertised. We wanted moderate room/3 star room/price - but with the convenience/lodge amenities of a 5 star ski-in ski out resort. We got it. We were family of 5, including 3 teens. Large Bdr (TV) for mom/dad; small bunkroom (no closet - no TV) for 2 teens - all they needed; comfy pull-out queen couch for 3rd teen in living room (TV/DVR). Kitchen fully stocked, coffee maker etc. Washer & Dryer! Only 1 bathroom, but there are lodge restrooms 30 secs away down hall which we used often. We also took Meredith's advice as we used hot tubs every day after skiing -and showered there in the locker room afterwards to avoid a run on the shower in our room. The room is exactly as pictured - it is on small side and has no view - brick/concrete parking garage wall outside window - so if you are accustomed to a spacious 2-3 BDR condo with slope views you might be disappointed. We have stayed in those too ourselves - in other lodges like this one - at One Ski HIll Place/Grand Lodge in Breck - and paid double for the room. This time we decided to save some $ and try to find a more affordable room yet in the same kind of resort. No regrets and definitely would do it again. We were there to ski - teens spent very little time in room - far more time on slopes and throughout the resort and in village. Perfect for us. Cannot wait to come back. Kids all say this was one of best vacations they have ever had.
Meredith has other rooms in the property and was on site during our stay. She met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property and made us feel right at home. She had great suggestions on restaurants and transportation - great to work with!

FANTASTIC ski in and ski out Condo in Vail Colorado!
Our family of 4 had a wonderful getaway that felt special because of the wonderful experience we had here! The location is unbeatable - literally at the foot of the skier bridge right in front of the gondola! We got to the gondola and realized we forgot something in the condo and it took less than 2 minutes to go back and get it (round trip)! Loved the hot tubs for us and pool for the kids. The changing rooms right next to that allowed us to all shower and change right after using the amenities, so we didn't mind having only one bathroom in the condo. The aprés ski specials at the on-site restaurant were great, and we enjoyed the view of the slopes from there. Even though the condo doesn't have a view, we were able to sit in the lobby in front of the fireplace there and watch the snow falling. The ski shop is 6 steps from the condo, which made having our skis tuned SO easy! The free parking in the garage was also incredibly convenient - only steps from the back door! Loved the new bathroom that was just remodeled with beautiful granite and a cool vessel sink! Although we didn't need to use the washer/dryer for this quick trip, it will be great to have it right in the condo when we come for a longer stay...which will definitely happen in the future! Meredith showed us all around the complex and was easy to work with, which gave the experience a personal touch that is not often found. This is definitely a great value since you get 2 bedrooms for the price of a one bedroom! Can't wait to come back!
