There is few places in the world that will thoroughly take your breath away as the view from inside or outside or on the patio of the cottage overlooking Clogher Beach /Sybhil Head and the 3 high points called the 3 sisters /mountains and the vast Atlantic Ocean,,, the most photographed point of the most scenic of drives .the home is only 20minute drive from idilic Dingle town

It overlooks Clochar Beach, Sybil head,The Three Sisters, Mount Brandon,Smerwick Harbour..It inspired classic films such as David Leans 'Ryan's Daughter' Tom Cruise/Nicole Kidman epic 'Far and Away'.
Situated on the Panoramic Slea Head drive and the Dingle Way,10Km from the quaint fishing town of Dingle, Golf links, horse riding, hill walking, and beautiful safe sandy beaches close by.
Sheep graze the lush land around the Stone House.
You can walk through the fields attached to the house and feel the freedom of living in the country also you can walk to the cliffs through the fields and sit on the stone wall and watch the waves and the ocean and the surrounding hills and cliffs and feel the peace and tranquility seep through your body!!

This home was a destination in and
of itself. We loved the house, it's views and overall location. We enjoyed the neighboring towns and had a fantastic trip! Our host was so accommodating and provided us with interesting insights and activity recomendations. We would highly recommend!

The setting of this charming stone cottage is one of the best views I have ever seen. Also, there are so many beautiful trails nearby and historic sites to see. We had an amazing time!

Exactly as advertised. The setting and location on The Dingle Peninsula is one of our favorite places. Communication was great and our stay could not have been easier.

If I could give a higher review I would. Words, like pictures can't even begin to describe the Stone Cottage. The home itself is impeccable, the view is unbelievable, and Brian is wonderful! You never want to leave!!

This was our 3rd stay with Philomena and Brian in their perfect, lovely, traditional Irish Cottage! As always, the view and the area is the most beautiful in all of Ireland!
The hospitality cannot be outdone, everything you need is already thought of and done for you, ready and waiting! It is hard to leave but, you will return again & again! Thank you both for the dream vacation you have always provided for us!

August 2023. 15years years later the same beautiful place. The first time the family came with my husband. This time to bring his memory to one of his favorite places with family.
House meets every need. Close by cafe/art studio. Walks on the strand. I hope it won’t be 25 years till I go back. Thanks to the host family

WOW!!! The first word that comes to mind when I am thinking back to this incredible property. From the moment you pull into the drive the views take your breath away. The house itself is the perfect size for a large family or group. Each window in the house has a view. The living room is the perfect size for relaxing and visiting with family. The bedrooms are all very spacious and have a bathroom attached. We had to fight over who got the master bedroom upstairs with the amazing views. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for making coffee, tea, and cooking. Brian is so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. He advised us on flying into Dublin and taking the train into Tralee to get our rental car which was the best way to go. Thanks Brian! Going during off season was also a plus as we were some of the only tourist there and made driving on the skinny roads a little easier. Overall, this property was an absolute dream and we would love to return one day!!

Philomena and her son, Brian delivered a vacation of a lifetime. 5 star service. The views - spectacular! The home - perfection in its style, size and structure. Great fit for two families/ six guests. Tig Aigne Cafe had warm scones everyday and best scones just a stone's throw away. The colorful town of Dingle just a short jaunt. Great pics and music! This is a must if you want to see Ireland in its full glory.

This is one of those rare occasions where the pictures do not due the property and especially the views justice. Everything was exactly as described, but more beautiful. I kept saying, "It feels like something out of a movie," and then reminded myself that it was. We slept with the curtains open (in the larger bedroom upstairs) so the view was the first thing we could see upon waking up. We rented both the larger cottage and the smaller one for our large family group and everything was perfect. Brian was wonderful to work with and super responsive.

The communication was spot on from what we expected, always responded promptly, the location was just a beautiful spot with the ocean right out the window. I would stay here again and again if the chance to go back comes up. Kids loved having separate rooms and they loved the sheep right out the window. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to stay in the area

We could not have loved our stay more! Brian was an amazing host and provided wonderful recommendations as well as ensuring we had all we needed. The views were breathtaking, and we hope to return again!

Stay! Don't hesitate, Stay! It has everything Ireland has to offer within minutes! Small nearly private beach. Outstanding view of ocean and cliffs. Sheep to observe. Walks and Slea Head drive at end of driveway. Did I say, STAY!!!

The perfect property for family or larger party holidays. Four comfortable bedrooms - all with en-suites, although be prepared to argue about who gets the bedroom with the fantastic views!
A really well equipped kitchen makes the cottage ideal for self-catering, as well as the large dining area and outside balcony.
Plenty of comfortable seating space in the living area to watch the many DVDs or read the extensive selection of books.
Great washing and drying facilities in the separate laundry room.
Best of all is the location, with its stunning views and within easy walking distance to the beach.
We would love to come back.

Plenty of room both inside and outside to get together with friends and family. It was very comfortable touring once we learned to do the Dingle way in a clockwise direction! Rugged hillside and path walking around with amazing views.
The house is well furnished - we cooked a lot and the kitchen is very well stocked. Brian was just excellent - very responsive and full of local stories. Tig Aine is 2 minutes walk away with excellent coffee and great food for lunch or early dinner.
After 2 weeks there, we felt we owned the place - sad to move on. Will certainly remember our experience very fondly.

Quel dommage! Vue extraordinaire depuis votre canapé sur un des plus beaux paysages d'Irlande, maison très confortable, accueil chaleureux et efficace. Son seul défaut? C'est toujours réservé...

Most beautiful place
Come here for stunning views of the ocean, fields, sheep and rainbows. The best hiking and easiest access (out the front door!) I’ve ever experienced. Philomena and Sarah will help with anything and always in good cheer. Ballyferriter is untarnished and open. I only recommend that you get proper directions to the house-do not use Slea Head Drive to get to the house especially in the rain and after a long flight like we did. You can cut through the fields and it’s safer(turn just after Dingle Whiskey). Take the tour of Dingle Whiskey- the kid is great! Have a drink at O’Flahertys and step into 1869. Eat fish at The Fish Box and talk to the family.

My family and I spent Christmas 2019 at the Stone House in Dunquin. We couldn’t have found a more beautiful place to celebrate the holiday. Philomena, our host was great. Hopefully you got over your cold! 😀. Our only issue was the dishwasher didn’t work, but that is what kids are for...right? We LOVED our stay here and would do it again in the future!

Simply a stunner
We (3 brothers, a sister and a sister-in-law) stayed at Tig Meaig for the last 2 weeks of September, 2019. We can vouch for the truth of every 5-star review here. This is, indeed, a beautiful, spacious and well-maintained home. And the pictures cannot do justice to the stunning location.
Philomena and Sharon helped to make our vacation one of the best possible. If we are fortunate enough to return to Ireland, it will be to Tig Meaig. Whether we are able to return or not, we will be spreading the word to any and all who travel to Ireland that this is the place to stay.

Coastal beauty unrivaled!
If you don’t mind driving narrow roads to get to the property you will be amazed by the views hikes and scenic charm. Philomena and her daughter were outstanding. They greeted us when we arrived and checked with us throughout the visit looking for ways to make things better. I LOVED this place as did my brother sister and their spouses.

Absolutely lovely
This property and its host are absolutely lovely. The house itself is cozy, clean, and comfortable, with soft sheets and towels, comfortable beds, and a large dining room table to seat family and friends. The house is full of light, thanks to the skylights, which made it a pleasure to be in even during rain showers. Most of all, the view from the deck is breathtaking; it's even more beautiful than the pictures posted here. We loved hiking down to the beach and on the bluffs with the kids and climbing on the rocks near the ocean. We also had delicious food at the cafe nearby. The host and her daughter went above and beyond for us and we so appreciated their kindness. My husband and I have traveled quite a bit and we both feel that this area is one of the loveliest we've been to. We dream of returning!

Perfection once again
Thank you to Phil and Sharon for their incredible hospitality in a house that continues to feel like home the moment you enter. The breathtaking views of the ocean and countryside were only surpassed by the warm memories brought back home by all three generations of our family.

FAR AND AWAY THE BEST!
This refurbished real Irish cottage on a hill overlooking the Atlantic was a dream week for myself, and my adult children, and grandson.
The views were stunning, the 4 beds a with private bath was a pure luxury in Ireland. The bed linens were even more wonderful than the pictures showed.
The owner, the whole family worked to make our stay the best. Whatever went wrong was quickly taken care of, which was much appreciated by all of us.
I hope we can get back to Kerry, and if we do, I would certainly want to stay Dunquin again.
We fell in love with the whole family and we never wanted to leave. If ever you get to Portland Oregon, we would love to show you around.
Thanks so much for making my 70th so memorable. Much love, Mary, Ryan, Sean, Kindra and Wes is still talking about his "Sharon and Anna"

Just wow......
After driving around Ireland for a week- we landed at this lovely spot. All I could say was..... just wow! After seeing the drone video and the listing of this fabulous house- I knew that I wanted to stay here and we were so glad that we did! The house was clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed. The view is just stunning and all of the sheep in the back yard and so much fun to watch and listen too! We enjoyed walking to the ocean from the house and a quick drive to Dingle yielded great restaurants, music and a tour of the Dingle Distillery! There are great pubs right down the road in Ballyferriter too- for a quick dinner. We enjoyed the walks right from the house the best and driving around Slea Head Drive. We really enjoyed the Sheepdog Herding Demo at the Irish Famine Cottages (email him first at the Famine Cottage site to find schedule)The best views however are right at this house! It was dreamy! Thank you for having us!

Beyond Stunning
Just like much of Ireland, photos rarely capture the full beauty of a location. In this case, the photos of the property are already remarkable and accurately represent the property,. Better yet, your first time visiting will prove that seeing the views firsthand will bring joy beyond your wildest imagination.
Many thanks to Philomena. She is a first-class person offering a first-class experience in an idyllic location.
Needless to say, we loved the visit!

Everything was perfect
Gorgeous property in an incredibly special location. The sea and Sybil head in front of you and mountain peaks behind. Lovely walks all around and easy access to the beach. The house was spotless, cozy, and well put together. We can’t wait to return someday.

We spent 4 nights at the Stone Cottage and it was the best time of our whole trip to Ireland. It was a great home base to explore. We did a lot of hiking right out the front door. The house itself was so cozy and had everything we needed including a washer and dryer. We loved the fireplace. But best of all were the views!! Anyone would lucky to have the Stone House experience!

Best House and View in all of Ireland!
Where do I even begin! My two sisters and I with our 3 boyfriends decided to take our first sister trip to Ireland, we felt like this magic feeling in our guts when we first stumbled upon this listing. We didn’t want to get our hopes up thinking no way such a beautiful place would be available, and we were the luckiest being able to stay at The Stone Cottage in Dunquin on VBRO. The photos spoke to us in magical picturesque ways. The second we started driving towards Dingle we felt the magic, it was the most beautiful part of the country in our opinion after our whole trip was said and done. I can’t stay enough amazing things about the owner Philomena, and her Son Brian and Daughter Sharron who were so lovely to meet, they made our stay feel so welcomed, loved and special offering many suggestions. It will be a trip we never forget, we had the most perfect weather the magical late sunsets and beautiful pink skies after the sun sets. The views are once in a life time. The Master Bedroom views were incredible, we made cozy fires in the evening, cooked dinner and ate around the table. Town was super cute. Overall best VBRO experience we have all ever had and I highly recommend the Stone Cottage! We would only be so lucky to return someday.
