Property fit our family nicely---cabin was well equipped with "extra's" (firewood, portable fire pit, grill w/propane, kitchen items etc. etc. Had no problem with communicating with our property manager and you could tell that she was willing to do what ever was needed to have our family enjoy our trip to the Mississippi River!!

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, location, size and amenities this property offered. It was very nice. Plenty of space inside and out. The outdoor area was perfect and welcoming! Great views of the water, beautiful deck, fire pit, grill, tables, chairs etc. I appreciated the coffee, toiletries and full kitchen amenities offered to the guests. We stay in PDC and Harpers Ferry every year, we will definitely be back and would stay at this property again. Thanks for everything and making our stay very enjoyable.

Our family had a wedding locally and this river cabin had all we could need or desire for family fun and comfort. From kitchen to bath to tool closet, this cabin was well equipped. Beds were comfortable and we even caught fish! Thanks for the fun family time.

Lovely, quiet accommodations. Wonderful, understanding host who was very gracious when our arrival date was changed due to one sister's husband died and we had a funeral - host was sincere and generous in our time of grief. Only reason for accuracy 4 stars was that there is spiral staircase that can be difficult to navigate and that was not pictured or noted. This place was otherwise perfect for us and we would highly recommend!! Lovely surroundings and comfortable, cozy home. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here! While it is in a neighborhood, it was very quiet. We enjoyed being able to use the dock for our boat. The kitchen had a good assortment of pots/pans/utensils and the grill worked well. Loved sitting on the top deck overlooking the river.
I will say the chipmunks on the deck were fun to watch and kept our dog entertained from the living room windows ;)
Hope to return! There is some great hiking in the state forest nearby and lots of things to do in Lansing and Prairie Du Chien. It rained a lot of our stay so did a bit of exploring.

We all had a really nice time. I was super thankful I could bring my dog and my parents were super thankful they could bring their boat and have private dock access Fishing was decent lounging on the water was great. Only 2 smaller issues, could not locate the key to the front door (it was unlocked when we got there) and the door never locked.
I have mobility issues and if you have any this is not the property for you unfortunately! I could tell but the pictures it would be tough but all and all we are all very happy! Thank you!

Although the water levels were very low due to drought conditions, our stay at the cabin was good. It has an interesting layout & seems to have plenty of room with it being spread out on 3 levels. The spiral staircase was not a problem, but bring smaller bags if you are going to the top floor. It was easier on my knees than my conventional stairs. Enjoyed the patio, deck and balcony deck. Walk to lake a bit challenging on suspended ramp. Good place.

We had a great time on the River and surrounding towns. The spiral staircases were a challenge for us 77 year olds, but we made it work. We would stay again anytime! Christi was always prompt in replying to any questions. Much appreciated.

The A frame property was exactly as listed. It was just fine for our group of 5. We were attending a nearby blues festival and it was a pretty drive to Prairie du Chein every day. The house was very clean and well appointed. We used the electric griddle for French toast and bacon and it was perfect. The grill worked awesome for the filets we cooked and oven as well for baked potatoes.
Take special note of the spiral stair cases up and down to reach all the bedrooms. It was not an issue for any of us but elderly could have an issue potentially.
Watched the eagles every morning and when we were home we spent the entire time on the upper deck. Lots of wildlife and beautiful bird sounds!!!
Be sure to head to the free public beach at the Wyalusing recreational park. Super clean sandy beach for the 90 degree day.
In the Mississippi we did see a big snake swimming by the dock - really cool and big!
Overall a great place to stay
Thanks!!

We stayed with our kids and grandkids. We had a great time. The stairs and there is a lot of them inside and out were the negative. I think a dishwasher would be nice so you can assure the dishes were clean. We had to wash the cups before we used them. That’s minor. The living room was so comfortable to hang out in. Enjoyed the decks! Fabulous to have the extra lot for parking. Docks were nice. I would recommend staying here. House was clean and nicely decorated. Thank you Christy!

The home delivers an amazing view of water. The outdoor space was really nice and peaceful. We had a relaxing stay…when we were actually there. Most of our time was spent traveling to Decorah, Gays Mills, Mcgregor, and Prairie du Chien and surrounding area.

Very nice place, great view, well equipped. House is clean, furniture is comfy and the TV's work well and provide lots of options. Lots of interesting details in the decor to enjoy.
The only thing that would make us not want to use this property frequently is the spiral staircase. We are getting to an age where mobility is an issue, that is on us, we just needed to be careful. The design of the staircase is unique and provides lots of usable space to the house.

Outlet next to lower level shower is concerning. Lock on main entry broke.
Loved the cabin-y devote. Living room and deck/patio are very spacious. Thanks for sharing you property!

A very quaint and quiet neighborhood the weekend we stayed, (beginning of fall, not boating weather), but I suspect the area is much more lively during the summer.
Pros:
- Great WiFi
- Comfy furnishings
- Easy and plentiful parking thanks to the extra grass area across the road
- Nice appliances
- Great view
- Plentiful outdoor seating with grill, smoker, fish cleaning station & dock access
- Clean
- The view!
Cons:
- The spiral stairs would be tough for someone with mobility issues, or large luggage, but there are outside steps that make basement access easier.
10/10 would recommend. A great place to unwind.

Back To Our Roots
We came to visit 90 year old grandma K and to enjoy the Mississippi at this welcoming cabin. Plenty of room for 8 of us and having the decks and boat landing were a big plus. Christy had thought of all our needs!

Enjoyed our stay
Our kids enjoyed their stay. We sadly were sick and unable to go. The kids said the place was very clean and well socked. They used the barbecue and noticed the gas was low. The host was friendly and brought more right away.

Great view of the Mississippi on both decks.
Had difficulty finding the key then unlocking and locking the front door. It does have spiral steps only way to access the up stairs. We had dogs with us and one of them would not use.
Otherwise the house is great. Very roomy and comfortable.

Great location, lots of things to do in the area, within a 20-30 minute ride
Ladies weekend was wonderful, in part due to the house we stayed in. Alot more space than shown on the website. Hope to reserve the same house, same time next year!
