About this cabin rental
A cute newly renovated vacation cabin close to the lake at Lake Tahoe available for rent. This small quaint back cabin is located off a private road nestled behind a main cabin. A few steps out the front door lead you to tons of hiking and biking trails in the Tahoe National Forest or pack a lunch and take the ½ mile stroll down to the lake where you can enjoy a picnic at Moon Dunes Beach (a much less crowded public beach than Kings Beach). North Tahoe Regional Park is about ¾ mile walk and a 7 mile drive to Northstar Ski Resort. This back cabin was just completely remodeled with a brand new kitchen, bathroom and washer/dryer. One queen bed in the bedroom, two twin beds in the sleeping loft and an uncomfortable pull out couch will make this cabin perfect for a party of 4 or 5, especially little ones that don't mind a pull out couch! New, updated couch as of 8/2020 but still an uncomfortable bed (I have yet to meet a comfortable one)! Please note the bathroom is located through the bedroom, so those staying in the loft will need to cross the bedroom to access the bathroom.
Relax on the front deck and listen to the sounds of the bubbling snow creek in season. The 24 hour Safeway is just 1 mile away, many restaurants are within walking distance, Old Brockway Golf Course is right next to Safeway and the Casinos are just 3 miles away at Stateline. The cabin is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Please note, during heavy snow winters you will park your car and use the snow-shoveled path to walk about 100 ft to access the cabin. Note the driveway may be icy at times so please use caution!

The cabin is quaint, clean, and well-equipped. Guests highly recommend it for its helpful host, location near the beach, perfect size for families, and cozy atmosphere.

The cabin is very sweet. Liz, the host is available and receptive. It is very close to trails and not far from the beach. We were there in September so it was quiet and no nobody else was there which helped with privacy. We loved it. 💖

This little cabin was great for our 7 days in the Lake Tahoe area. The location was better than expected—close to many good restaurants and hiking trails (our focus). The host was terrific to deal with. Very responsive to one little issue we had. She attended to it immediately and resolved the issue. The cabin was in a quiet neighborhood and we could walk to many of the places we wanted to go. Best for just a couple.

This place exceeded my expectations, for sure! The size was just right for my family of four (we have a 6-yo and a 4-yo) and small dog. The amenities were also good. The location was amazing - walking distance to sandy beach and hiking trail and a short drive to Safeway, good restaurants, mini golf course, and a dog-friendly beach. The owner was very communicative. We'd definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin is cozy and had everything we needed. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to the lake and nice walking trails very close by.

The cabin was very cute and clean. It had everything we needed and the host was very friendly and helpful.

The host was incredibly responsive, which really added to our stay. The cabin itself was well supplied and appointed with a fun loft space for 2 kids. Only downside was a draining problem with the bathroom sink.

The cabin is quaint and clean. Liz was very helpful and accommodating. Beach chairs really helped us so thanks for providing them! We highly recommend this cabin! Oh, I forgot to tell you, Liz that we replaced the batteries on the remote control for the dish.

My husband and I and our two little dogs stayed here. We were pleasantly surprised. Although the cabin is small, it was perfect for the four of us. The backyard is not enclosed but we had some baby gates that we put to enclose the yard. It was perfect for our dogs. The neighborhood was beautiful. And it was 10 minutes from the beach. The restaurant recommendations that were left for us were perfect. We ate at the Italian restaurant down the street. We could have walked there! The portions were large. We definitely consider staying here again. Thank you!

Cozy cabin is just the right size for one family. Our kid loved the loft and slept there all by himself. Location is great with short travel times to nice ski resorts.

It was great. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed to cook/bbq. Beds comfortable. There was snow on the ground, I was worried that the wouldn't be any. Love hiking locations connected to cabin location, and proximity to the lake.

My husband and I had a great stay in Lake Tahoe at this cabin. It’s tucked away in a quiet neighborhood yet still close to the lake and other restaurants and hikes. Cabin was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Host had great communication and even noticed the thermostat wasn’t working properly and immediately got someone out to fix it while keeping us in the loop the whole time. So happy we got to stay here and would love to again!

Excellent for 3 dogs. Patio and small yard provided us a peace of mind for them to roam. Being behind the main cabin gave a great homey feeling of separation.

Great place to stay, very cozy and quiet. Everything you need is there. Lots to do in the near by area as well. We loved the trail by the house for evening walks. Not a deal breaker but the Wi-Fi could be better. Overall beautiful place to stay, we will return.

We were delighted as soon we arrived to the property, from the outside all look beautiful and the interior is just a dream.
We are planning to comeback as many times possible.

I had to give this property 5 stars because our overall experience was awesome. The cabin is well maintained and had great new renovations. It had all of the accommodations you would need and was centrally located to trails and of course beautiful lake Tahoe. My only complaint would be the queen bed. It was pretty tough to sleep on, had a huge slope to the middle; it was pretty run down. Unfortunately we could feel the springs in our backs. We would absolutely stay there again!

Perfect place for my friend and I to enjoy a weekend ski trip. The place was just as described, very clean and Liz was a great host. The location was perfect—10 minutes from Northstar and walkable to the lake.

We had a fantastic couple of nights at the cabin. It was clean, updated, cozy, and centrally located to all the north lake stuff. Communications with the host ahead of time were great, and the kids loved the loft setup. Thank you!

Listing said there is room to turn around by the cabin. Maybe in the summer but impossible during the winter. Had to park on a narrow slope on top of a sheet of ice. The car started sliding downhill one time after I put it in park. We were slipping on ice all the way walking from the car to the cabin. My daughter fell on the ice walking down to the car and luckily was not badly hurt.

A rustic 1-2 person cabin, very well stocked and well away from crowds. It would be difficult to find at night as it’s very wooded and on a gravel path/road with little signage. So if you want quiet , uninterrupted getaway, this little cabin works. A very good kitchen and bathroom with everything you might need.

Clean and cozy, perfect for two of us. Had everything we needed. The setting is rustic but the kitchen and bathroom have modern fixtures and finishes. Close enough for a short walk to the lake and near many hiking opportunities.

Perfect spot to be away from crowds. Clean and cozy. Good places to eat close by and a scenic drive to the lake or to South Lake.

This was a perfect getaway! A very cute cabin, great for a couple, but if you have kids there's a loft too. Also, there are hiking trails very close nearby. Very peaceful and beautiful.

Good but without AC you have to have the windows open which allows for smoke from the fires to get into the house.

We had great trip to lake Tahoe with two kids (at the time 1 and 5-almost 6), last winter 2021 right before Christmas.
Cabin was cozy and had pretty much all the things we needed, such as laundry and basic kitchen stuff (with small kids, those are very important for us). Close to the grocery and all the amenities. Also had basic toys and various streaming services that we can entertain kids when we are spending time inside. My older son really loved loft area, and it was good that we could separate sleep for the older one because my little one was still waking up in the middle of the night.
I had issue with nest changing temperature setting automatically but that might be just me not good at using nest (or I should have removed all the setting that previous visitors left).
Owner was pretty nice.
We were offered complimentary night as the previous visitors left early, so we had 1 more day enjoying there (she doesn’t have to do that but kindly asked us if we would like to come early). She also asked us the time line we arrive and put the heater on for us.
When we were stuck for snow chain installation, she and her husband were willing to help.
The only complaint I might have was that a snow plower was not coming in (unless there is a lot of snow) because cabin is far inside from the big road, so the small road to the cabin was full of snow (hard to drive and even find the road at night). But I think that was not the control of owner - as she called a lot and no luck.. and she said sorry. Good thing is that you have a lot of snow in front of cabin and can have snow fun without driving out. This worked pretty well for us because my little one was too young for other snow activities - we play snow right outside, come back in and had snack or meal, play inside toy while we wash or dry the clothes.
Overall it was very nice stay for family getaway and we made a lot of good memories with snow.

Perfect location near moon dune beach. Close to lots of other beaches and restaurants too. The house was a clean and updated and had everything we needed!

This was a great cabin for two couples and a dog. One couple shared the loft area (could have used the pull out couch instead) and one stayed in the master bedroom. Nice to have two separate areas to keep luggage. There was a great little area for our dog to walk around to go potty and the location of the cabin was excellent for a variety of adventures we had planned this weekend. Definitely would stay here again!

Tahoe cabin
The location was excellent, very close to everything. There is no A/C in the cabin. One large fan in main room. It was in the upper 80’s so in the afternoon the cabin was a bit warm. Cooled down nicely at night. Cabin can sleep up to 5 as stated , however 2 of the beds are for kids in the loft and it’s Very warm up there. The pull out couch was as stated. “Not comfortable.” There were 3 adults in our party and 2 large dogs. The main bed sunk in in the middle. It really needs to be replaced. Needless to say. It was not very comfortable. I checked out in less than 24 hours after arrival. Also I think the linen needs to be changed. It’s very old and the pillows had stains all over them. I think it’s probably best for a couple with 2 small kids?

Hidden gem in North Shore Tahoe Area
Pluses: This updated cabin located in the quiet wooded North Shore area was a pleasant surprise during the 4th of July holiday weekend. Communications with the owner were great and the cabin was well equipped to meet our needs. There is a forest area behind the cabin which was nice for hikes with the colors of many wildflowers. Though located in a quiet neighborhood, it was close enough to walk to the lake and only a few minutes drive to the market and several outstanding restaurants. The interior was clean and the kitchen was well stocked.
Negatives: The long unpaved dirt driveway is very narrow with ruts and requires you to back up or down which can be precarious especially at night. Unfortunately, the outside deck was not as welcoming as the interior of the cabin. This was due to a non-functioning BBQ and lounge cushions spotted with bird droppings and forest debris. The owner was willing to let us use their BBQ at their cabin nearby, which was kind of them but not convenient.

We had a lovely long weekend at this rustic yet modernized cabin. The location was perfect to restaurants, beaches, and amazing hiking trails. We will definitely book again as we found ourselves very comfortable and quite content in this quiet woody perfectly quaint cabin.
