Loved the property. Central location.

Excellent central location and views. accommodations could use a minor update to bathroom door locks and smoke alarms added. Clean house, accommodated 10 of us very comfortably. Will stay here again. Highly recommended.

Great location for us. Easy to get to Pike’s Peak, Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs. The house is a little quirky but very comfortable for our group. There was plenty of room for our group of 6 adults. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio in the evening to visit.

Loved the stay. Very convenient location.

This place is wonderful. It's big enough to comfortably accommodate a large group and cozy enough for everyone to be able to get to know each other better. The property has wonderful views of the mountains, especially from the hot tub.
The only bummer was that the ac unit wasn't working, but there were several fans available so it wasn't actually an issue.
I would definitely stay here again in the future!

It was a great spot for a group close to many great Colorado Springs tourist attractions.

The house had a cottage feel. Needs some upgrades in the house as things were not working, like the ice maker, a stove, and the hot tub. It was a good location for what we were doing around the area.

House location was super! Easy access to many events. Large space that accommodated many. Lots of amenities there for use!

Really loved this location and the rustic, earthy feel of this property. It’s an older home and has some issues due to its age, could do with some minor repairs, but overall we loved this place. The hot tub was clean and well maintained, the fire pit was great, the view amazing. Rooms were as advertised, beds were comfy, plenty of towels. It you’re looking for the Ritz experience this isn’t for you, but if you want a legitimate mountain vacation I would recommend this property. Dan was responsive and stopped by one day to introduce himself. We will definitely return.

Close to everything we wanted to do

The inside of the house was pretty run down. Yard was not as neat as photos showed. Beds were really uncomfortable. House was NOT handicap-friendly at all. The hot tub & fireplace worked. My expectations were too high. Overall, the house was fine.

The house is in a great location with a really nice view. The house is in need of some TLC but overall worked out well for our large group. We were slightly concerned when the roof started to leak upstairs with all the weather we experienced during our stay.

House is on a quiet cul de sac and is very close to the Interstate. The house is basically split into two houses...one upstairs and one downstairs. We only used the top section so I can not speak to the bottom level. The top level was spacious and very clean. It has a cool little garden and we saw several deer hanging out!
Pros: location near interstate, view of the mountains and sunrise, clean, plenty of screened windows for fresh air, easy to check in and out, access to washer and dryer.
Cons: if you are a light sleeper, you can hear train horns at night (did not bother me), mattresses could use updating, it gets pretty warm inside during the day (did not bother us because we were gone during the day and it cooled off quickly at night)
Overall, I rate this as a 4 star experience. If the mattresses were updated, I would give it a 4.5 due to some people may want a cooler temp house during the summer months. I would stay here again.

We had a great time. My daughter, her husband and granddaughter had the downstairs apartment and we had the upstairs. Fully equipped. We used the fire pit often and the hot tub. Great location to visit the sights. Great view of Pikes Peak and other mountains

The property on Vrbo was no were close to the actual property. We were not able to use 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. Need serious updates. This property has multiple stories and with the cracks in the walls and floors we felt very unsafe. Save your money and find another place.

The house was big enough to accommodate our family of 12, which is about the ONLY good thing I can say about the property. We had read the reviews and it seemed that the biggest problem everyone faced was the lack of air conditioning in the house. I inquired about this ahead of time as we had two in our group with asthma and heat really makes it difficult for them to breathe. The owner assured me that a new, bigger air conditioner was installed and we would be happy with it. That was the furthest thing from the truth. The unit may have actually been new, but it in no way could have cooled all of the house! There is three rooms upstairs and the only area it kept cool was the dining room and living room. We had to purchase portable air conditioners on our own just to make it comfortable enough to sleep. The basement was hot as well and if the portable air had not been purchased, part of our family would have been sleeping upstairs on our own purchased air mattresses. The description of the house says it will sleep 14, so you would naturally think that there would be enough towels and wash clothes to handle 14 people. There was NOT enough to accommodate our group and there was ONE wash cloth. Additionally, it rained during our stay and the roof leaked in several places. One place being right on top of the TV in the living room! The owner came by after it had rained and let us know that he was aware of the leaks! What? You know about the leaks and have not had them fixed? I don’t understand, why rent it out with all of these problems? The beds were anything but comfortable; they were so old that when you slept in them with your partner, you ended up in the middle of the bed because that is how well worn the beds were. When the owner stopped by, we addressed these issues with him and he seemed unconcerned with anything we had to say. The bottom line is, I would stay ANYWHERE else besides here. I absolutely would NOT recommend this property to ANYONE!

We had a great time. The house was exactly as listed. It did get a little hot in the house at times. Great place to stay.

I learned my lesson about renting through Vrbo. It is important that you read all of the comments that other renters have left because the summary and pictures are misleading. Yes there are two levels but they not connected, you must go outside to gain entry into the bottom level. Number one complaint is the lack of air conditioners. There are two old units in the kitchen/dining room that could not cool those two rooms, let alone the bedrooms and bathrooms. Yes there are fans in the bedrooms but all they did was blow hot air around. The one fan and the filter in the sunroom was filthy. Curtains or blinds would block out the sun. We had to purchase fans and we hung sheets over the windows which helped. Most of the windows are old, did not open, and had cracks. The entire house needs a thorough cleaning; dirty light fixtures (full of dead bugs) and spider webs throughout. Needs to have the place sprayed for insects, we also had to kill bugs and spiders. The lower level has a structural problem as the ceiling is caving in. Lastly, on our last night we encountered a rain storm. We had been gone all day and was surprised to come home to more than six leaks in the ceiling. When we called to inform the owner we were instructed to put out pots and pans. For the price we paid I expected more; clean, rustic charm, and room temperatures that were tolerable.

We did not get the property we reserved several months in advance. On the evening before we were to check out of our cabin , we received a text telling us the agent had double booked and now we have no place to go the following morning. The rest of our party was to meet us there too. The whole experience was a mess!!!!!!

The house was plenty big enough for our large family. A little outdated from what the pictures looked like. Lots of room inside and outside to spend time with family. The owner was very responsive if we had needs.

The property was clean and quiet. I only wish we could've opened more windows but the hot tub and view was fantastic. We all really enjoyed ourselves!!!

Our first impression was a wary “interesting”, which quickly turned to “Like” 😃.
We had ample sleeping quarters, with lots of living space.
The kitchen upstairs (only one we used) was spacious and functioned well.
The view was amazing and we loved having a park with a playground within 1-2 min walking.
We were excited to see bears but did not. Lol.
The property however, had a LOT of small issues:
Evidence of mice in cabinets
Leaks like a sieve - a/c units left huge gaps in windows.
Beds upstairs squeak So LOUD!!!
We Didn’t know that the house was actually split so that it was 2 separate living spaces with NO inside ACCESS to lower level - only through exterior doors.
Dryer upstairs barely works - we had to clean out the vent.
We all agreed though that we loved this house even with its issues.

The house is in great location. The house is very spacious. The only downside is the furniture is old and some of the pull out beds were very dirty and regular beds were very squeaky. House had plenty of dishes and towels.

This was our first ever family vacation and we loved staying here! A little warm in the rooms but we brought our own fans and it made it a little better. Very roomy for my husband and I and our 4 children & 4 grandkids!!! Overall very great place!!

Most of our family loved this property for our get-together. The pictures make the property look dark and rustic, and did not show all of the amenities provided. There is a large bathtub in one of the rooms that would have been a "selling" point for me. It was a nice surprise. Though the property IS rustic, it is very clean and homey. We brought 2 dogs, so having the two separate divisions was accommodating. I didn't realize when I booked the property that there were two separate entrances from the outside and neither level could be accessed from the inside. So it is more of a duplex. That was perfectly fine, especially with two dogs. We were there during the 1st week of June. The family that stayed upstairs found it to be warm, but the fans provided kept everyone comfortable. The family members that stayed in the downstairs unit found it to be cold. And a heating blanket that was brought from home was used. The location could not have been better. Everything we went to was no more than 20 minutes away. The owner was very accommodating and easy to reach. We would definitely rent again.

Great views! House is close to everything. Big enough for the whole family. We had a great time!

Our family enjoyed our stay in Colorado Springs and had lots of activities planned. A great place to crash and relax. Contacted Dan about an issues with ladder going up to terrace and he had it fixed while we were gone that day. Plenty of room for our family to enjoy one another and still have their own privacy.

Really enjoyed our stay! The property is great for a large group. We had 8 adults. Plenty of room for everyone. We only used upstairs kitchen but there were plenty of pots and pans and other utensils for cooking. We could only find 2 kitchen towels so a few more would be great to add. Lots of toilet paper and paper towels. Could not find any washcloths for bathroom so that would be nice to have. Property had not been cleaned when we arrived, but that was just a communication error with the housekeeper. Once Dan was notified, the housekeeper arrived to take care of everything. It was very warm the days we were there, but lots of fans and some portable ac units. Some of the windows would not open. There would have been a great breeze had we been able to open all of them. Downstairs unit stayed very cool. Enjoyed the outside area and the view was so good. We would definitely stay here again!
