About this house rental
3BR, 2BA, 1700 sq ft home is a perfect getaway for summer or winter fun!
On .5 acre lot, the house is located 25 yards off the road for a secluded feel - great for kids to play in front or back. Backyard is fenced for your dog to play safely (additional fee required). Newly remodeled living and dining area has wood flooring and large gas fireplace. Rear deck has gas grill with steps down to yard with a large stone patio for summer enjoyment.
Parking for 4-5 cars (garage is used for owner storage). Central heat and gas stove in living room for quick heat in the winter. 50" LED TV, Cable TV, WiFi. 46" TV with DVD and Roku in Master Bedroom.
Cal King in Master, King in Guest room 1. Guest room 2 has a full bed and bunk beds. Full compliment of cookware, dishes, silverware. Just check in and soak up the mountain air!
Great central location: 10 minute walk to golf, local restaurants and brewery, 5 min. drive to airport or historic Downtown Truckee, 10 minute drive to Northstar California. Cycling the area? We're a few pedal strokes from the Tahoe Ironman bike course and the Sawtooth hiking/biking trail. It's a 5 minute pedal to downtown!

My family stayed in Ponderosa Palisades for 10 days! Very nice, spacious for 9 people house, well equiped with all you need (we cooked everything from scratch), in great and queit neighborhood, close to Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe. Father’s Day weekend
Chris’ place was great! Beds were super comfortable and the layout of the house is perfect. Enough space for everyone in your group and you won’t ever feel crowded.
We had a fantastic weekend! Chris was very accommodating and communicative. Even with a mix up/miscommunication he just rolled with it and made adjustments!
We would definitely love to stay here again!

Fantastic Home away from Home
I love staying at this house. This is our second time staying here and we just love it. The neighborhood is quiet and very conveniently located. The house is comfortable, well stocked with everything you need and we love the huge fenced in yard for our kids and dog. Beds are super comfy and house was spotless! Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful cabin again.

We loved staying at this house, located in a quiet neighborhood in the woods only a 5 minute drive from Truckee. The house was large and very comfortable. The fenced-in backyard was huge! It was well-equipped and had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying here!

Great neighborhood property within short driving distance to downtown Truckee and Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. Host was very helpful and responsive. House was clean (very important to us) and comfortable. Would stay here again!

Great Pet Friendly Place
It is very clear that the owners of this property love dogs. I appreciated knowing I could bring my dogs and not worry about them. This property is clean and the check-in/out was very easy.
My only suggestion for clarification is one informational email said check out was at 2pm and the second email said 11am. It didn't really matter because we had to be out early. But if we didn't I would have wanted to enjoy the house to the very last moment I could.

Top Notch Truckee Spot
We loved Chris's house for our weekend ski trip. The home is very spacious with 3 large bedrooms and a very large living/dining/kitchen area. The house's location is also great - only a ~15 min drive to Northstar and less than 10 min drive into downtown Truckee. Fifty Fifty brewing is also only half a mile away which was a highlight. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Chris' property. The house is located in a great neighborhood, within short driving distance to ski resorts, a grocery store, and restaurants. The house itself is beautiful, with updated rooms and great style. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking equipment you'll need - even a waffle maker! We had no trouble cooking our meals while looking out at the snow. We were also so grateful that the backyard was fenced! Our dogs enjoyed running in the snow unencumbered by leashes. The owner is very quick to respond to questions and was very helpful. We can't wait to come back next year!

Newly renovated, hardwood living room, everything is very clean and new. Breville espresso machine, tons of utensils and dishes. Huge fenced backyard made the dogs merrier than ever! Chris is very responsive and brought us a giant shovel in 30 min after we asked for. It was very pleasant and memorable trip for my family.

Wonderful spacious house with amazing fenced yard
Checking in was very easy. The house is large with many items for kids and dogs; cribs, blankies, crate, dog bowls. Kitchen is wonderful and has EVERYTHING! The yard is HUGE and very secure. Our pup loved exploring and playing hide and seek with his ball. We would love to stay here again!

Amazing!
John is such an amazing person- I was evacuated from my home due to a wildfire creeping close, and John was so generous and allowed myself, my father and our two dogs to stay there during the entirety of our evacuation. The yard is amazing- huge and fully fenced in and the interior is absolutely beautiful! The beds are comfortable and everything you need is stocked. Ample parking and the home is tucked away from the street for added privacy. Can't go wrong here! Thank you again for your hospitality and generosity!!

Delightful house and yard
It has been almost a year since we stayed here, but we still talk about how much we loved this house. Our dog loved romping around the yard or lounging with us on the patio and deck. The kitchen was great and we loved how open the living space was. The main bedroom and bathroom were so comfortable and clean. The neighborhood was perfect for walking the dog and we had access to everything we needed.

Perfect mountain retreat
This house was perfect for our family of five! Plenty of space for everyone to eat, sleep and relax. The house was spacious, clean and well stocked with everything we needed including beach towels for a dip in Lake Tahoe. We loved the yard space- coffee in the fresh mountain air in the morning, star gazing at night. And the kids live relaxing in the hammock. It’s a quiet, friendly neighborhood and seeing as my sister lives a three minute walk from this home, we will definitely be staying here again!

Great place to stay in Truckee
Due to Covid, only my husband and I stayed in this 3 BR house . We frequently have some friends with 4 kids join us when we stay in Truckee and they would have fit just fine. The kitchen was better equipped then any other rental we have used and there was a great comfortable couch and chair in front of a beautiful gas fireplace.

First time success
Walking into the house, I knew we were going to have a good time. My family and I planned for some fun in the snow and being able to come back to a beautiful house was very nice. Everything was clean and stocked with the essentials for a nice vacation. We didn't want to leave thats for sure. Thanks Chris!

Thanksgiving stay
We stayed here over Thanksgiving week and had an amazing time. The kitchen is huge and well-equipped. We were able to make our entire Thanksgiving dinner with all of us making our side dishes at the same time. The layout of the house is great for 3 separate parties and the beds were all very comfortable. We brought along our dogs and they loved playing in the backyard. Unfortunately due to covid, we stayed at the house most of the time except for hikes. But it is a very short drive to downtown and there are also restaurants within walking distance. We can’t wait to come back for another family trip.

Perfect House
We were up in Truckee for a girls golf trip. Two of us stayed at this house. We didn't spend much time there as we had party and dinner gatherings both evenings after a full day of golf, but it was a lovely place to stay. Only issue we had the first night was a neighbor's dog was really lonely and barked until midnight. We believe that's when they may have come home and let him/her in. It was Friday night and owners were probably out. Next night was perfect. Clean and comfortable.

Weekend Ski Get Away
Our second family ski stay at this home. It's ideal for our group of four adults, one teenager, two kids and two dogs. Everyone had a bed and the yard is huge. Home is well maintained and comfortable.. Will always be our first choice for our ski or summer trips to Tahoe.

Amazing Place!
Had a great time here this past weekend! Stayed here with two other couples, a child, and our dog and all of us had a blast.
The place is huge and the yard is an amazing size for a dog. Our dog played in the snow and ran back and forth and the yard was amazing for this!

Nice for a weekend getaway.
The hubby & I rented this spot for a weekend getaway with our infant son & dogs. It is a great spot, a nice yard for dog to run in, close to restaurants & grocery stores. We would definitely look at renting again if we went back to the area.

Family Get-away
This property was just as described and more. We managed to wrangle dates that worked for our two adult children, one in college and one in the working world, so that we could all five of us, plus two significant others and our lab, spent d time together in the snow before xmas. There was plenty of space, all on one level, with lots of extra details, like throw blankets in the family room, an awesome espresso maker in the kitchen and waffle maker, and a long driveway for more privacy. An easy ten minute drive to North Star, and though we didnt attempt it, a short walk to Downtown Truckee-who knew it was so cute? We're hoping to stay here again in the summer for a few days to take advantage of biking and hiking opportunities.
