This was a wonderful restful hotel with quiet rooms and comfortable beds.Beautiful cedar architecture - nice restaurant onsite - complimentary coffee in the lobby all day - and a great little bar area near the fireplace. Bring your swimming costume - there is an outdoor spa.

The price is relatively good comparing to the Northstar Village. It was a short drive to Northstar and ski and travel around the lake and back to the hotel easy.

we had the suite with 2 rooms, very comfortable bed, sofas and nicely done. Cute balcony too. The restaurant on site was good and the location is convenient. Staff at checkin was lovely.
A proper coffee machine in the room would be good.

Buildings had a great Tahoe lodge feeling. It was a small hotel, but the staff made you feel like a part of the community. Rooms were very comfortable and clean.
Rooms are a bit small, but not enough to deter me from going back.

I was travelling solo for a ski trip, and I rented a single king Rambler room from Feb 4 - 10. I arrived early in the day during heavy snow and wind, so I was advised by the front desk to spend the day in the working space building until I was ready to check-into the room. This workspace building was full of comfortable furniture with a coffee and tea station and bathrooms. I was able to spend the day getting caught up on some work while the weather outside was in climate.
I had a fabulous time skiing, but unfortunately, I suffered a knee injury on February 6, and I needed to check out early on February 7. I was able to get myself packed up in the morning, and when I called the front' desk to ask for some help getting my car packed up, I reached Grayson, an employee who needs to be recognized for his amazing service! Not only did Grayson clean my car free of snow and ice, but he also carried all my packed belongings from my second-floor room and carefully packed my car. When everything was packed up, he offered to take one last look around the room to make sure I didn't forget anything, and then he offered to get me a hot coffee to go with some yummy toffee as a get-well gift! What an amazing person Grayson is, and he turned a disappointment into such a positive experience! Thank you, Grayson!

The guest house looked newly remodeled with state of the art features. It was very cozy. The room and bathroom were small but clean and functional. The bed and bedding were comfortable. There was a fridge and high table with chairs in the little kitchenette area which was supplied with hot water pot, ceramic cups, and artisan tea and coffee. The facility had a sauna and a gym but I did not use those. Staff was very pleasant. It was obvious that they paid attention to detail and wanted guests to feel "at home".
I always wish for a microwave in the room!

Staff was friendly, warm, and inviting. Location is great. Cute and cozy room, stayed in the Idlewild. Separate room plus a twin sleeper and full futon. Room had a fridge w/ freezer, microwave, water kettle, dishes ( plates, utensils, napkins, glasses, mugs), dishwashing soap and sponge. There’s a restaurant on site. It was snowing, so surrounding the property, kids were able to go out and play.
In the bathroom, didn’t like that the lotion, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were communal. In the kitchen area, didn’t like that the creamer and sugar were communal as well. Would’ve preferred single use items for a lesser chance of items being tampered with. The king bed and pillows were too soft. Yes, it feels pillowy, but not to our preference. Needed something a bit more stiff.

The facilities were fantastic and the food was very good.
They do clean the rooms daily -- it is by request only -- and did not inform us of this at check in. We were there five nights and they only serviced the room once -- the third night when we complained.

We love this hotel - it is eco-friendly and beautiful. We love the Scandinavian design and uniqueness of the rooms. The coffee is great and the bar offers a delicious manhattan. We have stayed here twice and would recommend. We walked across the street through the park and golf course, which was lovely. Stella restaurant is AMAZING!
The rooms are a little dark.

Staff was very friendly. They helped us with recommendations for trails and activities to do. The best part is they upgraded our room since they were not busy. What a great treat for our 34th anniversary! The room was very nice!

Location
Unexpected "resort fee". Although a small amount was charged for our 3 rooms, there was nothing there that resembled a resort nor any amenities used...it was a business trip.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful with answering our many questions about local events. The cozy bar opens to an outdoor area with comfortable chairs and fire pits, and it was the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day with an adult beverage! The robes in the room were a lovely touch.
We wished we stayed longer! We never had a chance to use the sauna, workout room, or eat at the restaurant, which we heard is absolutely fantastic from locals.

Loved the staff, everyone was super helpful and lovely. I really liked the architecture and the design of the whole place with lots of wood, natural finishes and cool outdoor sitting areas by the fire. Onsite restaurant Stella was really good, serving fresh produce and creative, healthy and light dishes. Very well balanced.
Loved the location and the little cute town, Truckee, just 5 min away. Great hikes and fantastic lakes around. We had a really good time. Gym was well equipped, the hotel had really good tea and coffee options. Breakfast was delicious.
I liked everything. My only comment would be to add an outdoor shower or a cold water bucket by the sauna.
There is no shower at the moment next to the sauna or the jacuzzi which I found quite odd.
Little outdoor shower head or even a hose would be amazing.

Staff was wonderful. Location was perfect, walkable to town but set apart. The only down side are the beds. Pillow top mattresses that are worn and hard. After two days I would have a sore back. Other than that, perfect place.
The beds. That was all
