About this house rental
This home was built for families to gather and make lasting memories. The home is approx. 3,000 sq ft, has wide hallways, and features 8 bedrooms and a total of 15 beds, 3 bathrooms, very large great room, screened porch, expansive lake view, and sandy beach. Many of our families return year after year due to the family friendly level lot and the fact that the home is all on one level, allowing for easy access for your reunion guests.
***Per our Douglas County VRBO permit (#CU-000034), we can accommodate 20 overnight guests and 24 daytime guests. (A GUEST IS ANY PERSON OVER THE AGE OF 5 YEARS)***
During the months of June through August, we require a SEVEN night stay minimum with the exception of the first week of June and the last handful of days in August. Weeks run Friday to Friday during summer months. In addition, current summer renters are given first priority for booking for the following summer during the same week. We do not know summer availability until one week following the end of the week in question. For example, if you are looking at July 8-15, 2022, we would not know if this is available until the end of the third week of July 2021. You may message the owner if you wish to be placed on a waiting list should a week open up.
We are licensed through Horizon Public Health (#1813).

My family of 20 really enjoyed our stay! The home is spacious and clean with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and pillows and lots of room to play. The hosts were easy to communicate with and had clear instructions for check-in and check-out. We would definitely love to come back!

So spacious, they have everything you would possibly need in the kitchen and through out the property.
Only disappointment we had was we had to make our own beds. The built in bunks are really hard.
Anne (the owner) was GREAT to work with.

We had a group of 22 people, ranging from 0-55 years old. There were 8 families, so a lot of bedrooms was a must. This house had enough space for us inside and out. We enjoyed the backyard, beach, playset, campfire and lake. Would love to come stay again!

We were blessed to find this property for our annual family getaway. It was everything we hoped for and more. Our large family had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each other's company. It was a very relaxing peaceful environment. We all agreed that this is definitely a place to come back to.

Our annual cookie baking weekend was spent at this home and we all enjoyed it so much! Sleeping arrangements for 8 different families - kids young and old all had a place to sleep, the kitchen amenities were more than we could have imagined, the kids had so much fun finding many great hiding spots for hide and seek and we also spent a lot of our day playing outside.
The hosts were awesome to work with and always prompt to respond to any questions.
Thank you so much for making our trip another memorable one! We hope to come back!

We had 13 guests for Friendsgiving and loved every minute of our stay. There are plenty of spaces to gather, a huge kitchen right off the living/dining room, and cute rooms for all the guests. The location is great, even in the fall/winter without swimming available, the lake is beautiful and it’s a very short trip to Leaf Valley Mercantile for a drink. Check-in and out is super easy and clearly explained. Highly recommend!

Easy to get in and out. Easy to find. Lots of bedrooms to accommodate all ages. High chairs, kid cups and silverware a bonus. We used the bonfire pit in the fall. Was nice off the lake. We slept well and out kids enjoyed the bunk beds.

This is our second year renting this spot and it was even better than we remember. It was even cleaner. A couch that was getting old was replaced. And the new chairs by the fire pit were AWESOME! 😍 That was our new favorite spot. However we do still love the screen porch for morning coffee. 😉 It is hard to find so many rooms and beds and with a bunch of 60 something old high school pals, it is kind of a must. And btw, the kitchen is really well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. If there was one complaint, the beach is unswimmable. So many stinky weeds. It may just have been that time of year and how the wind was blowing. Buy truly, a wonderful, wonderful spot! We will be back! 🥰

What a gem! The house is just gorgeous, equipped with everything we could possibly need, the grounded are beautiful, and the lake setting truly stunning. The house is light and bright, no oppressive dark cabin feel.

It is hard to find a house with enough space for myself, my parents, and my 4 siblings and their families to stay comfortably, but this house fit the bill. Each family unit had its own bedroom, plus a couple extra for the older kids—every person had a bed to sleep on. Further, the living space was big and comfortable enough for us all to dine at the same time and hangout with one another. Combine that with a lovely outside space, nice beach for swimming, and a nice winery in the area and a boat rents and we had a very lovely family reunion. Highly recommend for families.

We had a wonderful time! The space was perfect for our large multi family group and all being on one level was great, especially with small children. The flat lot, sandy beach and play set were great for kids and adult alike. We were able to build sand castles, play yard games and watch littles all at the same time. We had a few questions leading up to arrival and Anne was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Definitely plan on coming back!

Anne and Mark's house was amazing. It was spacious and an ideal space for my family to hang out for the weekend. The one-floor set-up made it easy to monitor children. The open space kitchen/living room/dining area made communal gathering easy. Everyone also loved the European-style bunk beds, which were practical and very cute. Anne was also really responsive to my messages. I'd recommend this space to other families who need some R&R.

We had 4 different families and there was plenty of room for all of us. The owner was really easy to work with and always quick to respond to my questions. The place was very clean, spacious, and pretty. Great beach area for the kids! A little far from town so that’s why I gave location 4 stars instead of 5.

Loved the size of this property. It worked great for 19 of an extended family. (Grandparents, 5 adult brothers and sisters with spouses and 7 grandkids) Fishing was pretty good for the end of August. Bees were terrible (as they were everywhere).
Would have loved to book again for next year, but our dates were taken before we left the property.

How was enjoyable. Great kitchen set up. Our Family was able to enjoy everyone in one room. Needs a little attention. But over all we very much enjoyed the time together.

This location was perfect. A beautiful spacious house on Lake Miltona with so much to do. From collecting shells, to playing on the playground, to hide and seek in the large ranch style home, to quiet evenings by the fire after the kiddos go to bed. This place has it all. Such a perfect setting for a mama/daughter weekend away from it all. The cold didn't stop us from enjoying all this place has to offer. We will be returning next year! Anne was very responsive and incredibly caring, even having a welcome gift for us when we arrived. The mamas in the group felt so special. Thank you so much for everything.

This property was great! There were 13 of us, ages 83 years to 3 months. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved that it was one level for my parents. Plenty of toy for the kids. They loved the playset. Was nice having a beach for them and a dock for our boat. Would highly recommend this property. Anne was great to work with.
