About this house rental

Axis Inn, a private 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath Hill Country German rock heritage home. Walk 2 blocks to historic downtown Fredericksburg, walk 2 blocks to the Market Square, walk 2 blocks to the National Museum of the Pacific War complex.
For your safety, we have installed an Air Scrubber into the HVAC system with an advanced electronic air purification system.
The Axis Inn is a romantic getaway, a couples destination, with place to spread out for friend reunions.
The Axis Inn has a spacious split floorpan with 3 full bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and a 1/2 powder room. You can take advantage of the short walk to boutique shops, craft brews, handcrafted cocktails, fine and casual dining, and outdoor music venues.
Downtown Fredericksburg has tasting rooms for wine and beer, just steps from the Axis Inn. Tours and wine tastings are available at the wineries in the area.
Enchanted rock has many hiking trails and a spectacular view from the top of the dome.
• Master Bedroom suite has a king size bed and private bath. The bath has his and hers sinks, whirlpool tub for one, a separate shower and private toilet area.

The house is in a great location! A short walk to the center of Fredericksburg. The home is very clean and well organized. The property owners have taken wonderful care of this home. They are accessible, responsive, informative and courtesy! You cannot go wrong booking this location.

My family came to Fredericksburg for the solar eclipse. I have always wanted to visit Fredericksburg. All of us were thoroughly impressed by the charm and location of the house. The house was very clean and nicely appointed. The kitchen was well equipped, impressively so! Cooking was a pleasure and we enjoyed our meals at outdoor tables and the indoor dinning table. The grounds were neat with plenty of entertainment areas which we enjoyed, especially the fire pit. Since we were there for the eclipse, the added bonus of the nice sized yard and plenty of comfortable seating was much appreciated. The house is situated on a lovely, quiet street within very easy walking distance to the main street in town. We enjoyed coffee, live music, shopping, wine tasting and people watching. So fun! Karen, our host, was fantastic! She kept us informed of what to expect for the solar eclipse event. She was always available with a prompt and helpful response to our inquiries. She stocked the house for us, which was especially kind and thoughtful. This stay was truly one of my favorite VRBO experiences. Thank you Karen.

The house was perfect! Very clean, super cute, love the spacious backyard! The owners were very nice and responsive! Location is perfect- just far enough away from main street (1 or 2 blocks) but tucked away where you dont hear the noise- but easy / super close walk to main street. We would definitely stay here again! Definitely a charmer! Made our trip perfect!

I booked this house for a girls getaway weekend. Booking was simple, Karen (the host) was in constant contact with me, and the house is walking distance from Main St. I cannot say enough great things about this house! It was clean, cozy, and so comfortable. The beds were all great, plenty of space for 5 adults with room to spare, fabulous outdoor space, and lots of little touches that made our visit perfect. Toiletries, snacks, a few drinks, everything needed for a good cup of coffee, even sandwich bags to store leftover food were available. The little things people usually forget when they travel were available in this house. Karen is the most thoughtful host I have ever encountered and I cannot wait to visit here again! Driveway parking space can accommodate 3 vehicles with road parking also available. This space would be perfect for families, friend getaways, or a couple’s trip. Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed at many different properties over the years in Fredericksburg, and even stayed at a few more than once. We feel this was the best property rental we’ve experienced in Fredericksburg. We had 3 couples for the weekend, and the bedroom and bathroom accommodations were perfect. There was also a hide a bed in the living room for another couple. The kitchen was spacious and the kitchen table made for a perfect gathering spot as did the living room. The back yard was beautiful; unfortunately it was too hot to enjoy the outdoor space. The property owners were very responsive. We hope to enjoy this property again in the future.

This home is in a great location to walk to downtown Fredericksburg. The home is beautiful with a large deck and big back yard with ample seating for six or more. Lounge on the deck with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Roast smores around the campfire in back. We loved the home and our stay in Fredericksburg.

We absolutely loved this place! It was perfect for the five of us! The accommodations were exceptional with a complimentary bottle of wine, snacks, waters and sodas, makeup remover wipes and shampoo, conditioner and lotions. We were not expecting all that and it was very much appreciated! The location was perfect! So close to town. The backyard was wonderful and everything available for an outdoor fire or cookout. Karen was easily accessible and very kind and responsive! We would definitely book this place again and had a magical time with my mom, daughter, daughter-in-law and her mom. Best trip ever! The layout and backyard were perfect for our family. The location to downtown Fredericksburg is a convenient and quick walk. We will definitely be coming back. We picked this location due to its proximity to the square and though we did not end up walking as much due to the unexpectedly cold temperatures, it was still nice to be so close. The house was clean, the end-of-stay requests were extremely reasonable and the house was warm and well-designed for a medium-sized group such as ours.

This is hands down the best VRBO I have ever stayed at! Location: The property is located in great walking distance to the Main St shopping and dining areas, plus it’s in a super safe neighborhood. Outside: The house itself is much bigger than it looks from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised by just how much space we had. And the backyard… wow!! So much seating, some covered, some in the open, with a fantastic fire pit with seating too. We spent soooo much time outside enjoying the fresh air, with coffee or wine! Inside: The layout is incredible… 3 large bedrooms and 2.5 well equipped bathrooms, plus a huge living room, dining room, and kitchen. The whole place was decorated beautifully with lots of little fall decor touches. This vrbo was truly perfect!! I wouldn’t change a thing and I would love to stay there again!!

Cozy, comfortable, clean, well stocked, great neighborhood, beautiful backyard with lots of places to have your coffee in the morning, drinks in the afternoon or a fire in the evenings. The owners of 211 E. Schubert have thought of everything to make a truly exceptional stay in Fredericksburg. The home was beautifully crafted, very comfortable, and very clean. This house was built of limestone and in the old Texas style of architecture. The inside and out were beautifully decorated. Texan Art through out the home. Sound machines and ceiling fans in every bedroom. My friends and I enjoyed our stay so much we said we will only stay here when we come to FBG.
