Quiet, comfortable, clean, centrally located, and simply put the best place we have ever stayed while visiting the area! We used the grill, the oven, fridge/freezer, futon, yard for games, and gas fire pit on the deck! The gravel road is also very maintained!

Nice cabin. Had one issue which was looked into right away by Lisa
Perfect place to hangout when visiting Custer SP
Loved the porch and sitting out there in the evenings enjoying the Silence by the heather.

What a wonderful stay! We hope to be back soon. Our 5 yo and 8 yo loved exploring the surrounding area and getting to pet the horses.

We were in the Mount Rushmore area the week that all the bikers descend in the area as well. So we were very glad to stay here where it was nice and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the evenings and reading and eating our dinner out there. Lisa is a wonderful property manager. I hope the new owners keep her on!

We enjoyed watching the horses, wild turkeys, and deer outside our back porch.

We loved the Cabin and the Porch on the Back! We loved the privacy to hang out and not many people or noise!
We would stay there again!!

This little cabin was the perfect, homey backdrop for our SD adventure. The birds, trees, horses were perfect company while bbq’ing or playing cribbage on the deck. Really appreciated badminton, soccer and corn hole.
There’s plenty of towels, blankets, and comforts. The hosts really took care of any of our needs and seemed happy to do so.
Very pleased!

The cabin was so clean and beautiful setting. I just wanted to sit on the back porch and watch the horses all night long. This property is for sale and I wish I was in a position to purchase it. The income potential is awesome. The current owner could not have been any NICER!!! Thank you Matt

This was the best place I have ever stayed, hands down! The property, the cabin, and the entire area was perfect! I wish we could have stayed longer.
I highly recommend!

The cabin was very clean. We would go sightseeing during the day and come back to the cabin in the evening. It was so nice sitting on the back porch with the fire pit going. We listened to music and watched the deer and horses. If you like peace and quiet, this cabin is the place for you!

Beautiful scenery nestled in a secluded area. Cute cabin with all the amenities and a peaceful getaway on the back porch. Will definitely be back!

We stayed three nights with our teenager. It was really the perfect setting, away from the crowds yet within 20-30 minutes of all Custer State Park landmarks so spending each day sightseeing was great then to come back to the cozy cabin. The cabin was charming, well decorated, and you can tell they care about guests' experience. Our daughter thought the futon was comfortable. We loved the back porch with rocking chairs, grill, and the table top fire feature that kept us warm when it got into the 50s at night (we brought our wool camping blankets, which I highly recommend if it gets cool at night so you can enjoy the porch at night). Inside, we had everything we needed including a washer/dryer and detergent, and an electric fireplace, coffee maker, stove and microwave. There are fans, and plenty of lighting as well. Wifi was great. We did not watch TV so I cannot comment on the satellite dish. Nearby, in the common area, you can find a firepit, basketball court, yard games, soccer balls and basketballs. Our daughter loved playing basketball, seeing the horses and donkey next door, and playing her guitar on the porch amongst the gorgeous setting. Getting around/navigating the roads was very easy. There were no problems finding the cabin, and the owner was in communication if we needed anything, which we didn't! We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and will tell our friends! Thank you for everything!

I might have given it a 5 star if there was any type of closet or wardrobe to hang up clothes.

Cabin was exactly as listed and just what we were looking for! Off the beaten path, helpful/available owner, adorable decor, clean, great location for Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore, and the perfect size for our family of 3. The front porch was so peaceful with tons of deer to watch while we were there. We would definitely rent again if we came back out this way and will recommend to others we know!

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. We were in the area to do some hiking and exploring, and this was a nice, quiet space to relax at the end of each day. Having a full kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner was a big plus, and the horses were an added bonus. Thanks for letting us stay.

Beautiful location and great proximity to Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park, Mammoth Site, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, and Badlands National Park. Very comfortable home and perfect for cooking meals.

Truly remarkable! Peaceful. Loved both porches! My only comment is the couch was awful, and TV was too high on the wall to view with out crinkling you neck. We may have been first of the season guests, but all of the windows were so dirty you couldn’t see out of them for the view. Quick cleaning of them solved that problem so we could sit inside and take it all in on the cold mornings. Perfect location… close to everything. I’d go again.

Perfect cozy little cabin for a family getaway! We enjoyed our stay and the quietness!

This was one of the best VRBO properties I’ve stayed at! The location was perfect, being out in the black hills, it was secluded with great views from the back porch and living room. The place was very clean and well put together whenever we arrived and already having the code pre check in made it smooth getting in. The proximity to Mount Rushmore and wind caves made it an ideal location. Also, being 20 mins from rapid city was perfect, in case we needed anything it was a close drive. Thank you to the owners for the amazing property and location!
I will definitely be back again another year!

This area in the hills was nice for us. The hills are not terribly tall, so light was able to reach our cabin. Good mix of flat and hill area, with woods. It's really nestled in a nice area.
Was great.

A lovely cozy cabin in the peace & quiet of the countryside. Love the views of the pasture with horses. A good ways from town so bring groceries! Easy to prepare meals with the cooktop, oven & microwave. Close to Mt. Rushmore & breathtaking Custer State Park. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This cabin was so nice and had great views off the back porch. We enjoyed evenings in the rocking chairs, grilling and watching the deer and the horses. Cabin had everything we needed including coffee for the coffee pot and travel size toiletries in case you forgot anything. Also had lots of information in the cabin for you about what to do in the area. So close to everything. We really enjoyed our trip! Definitely a great place to stay!

What a beautiful, relaxing place to stay. After a busy day of site seeing, it was nice to come back to peacefulness. Matt and Jen were wonderful and very accommodating. The place was spotless, had everything one needed.
Nice place for kids to play and even a set up to have a campfire to cook smores, and visit with other guest if you so choose.
I 100% recommend this beautiful piece of heaven to come stay and relax.
Quick note, I would recommend to get any groceries a head of time, so that you don't have to run back into town. Once you get to the property, you won't want to run back into town. You will want to stay and relax.
Hermosa has a grocery store with limited hours, but there is a Dollar General and a gas station that has almost everything you need.
