Under normal circumstances, I’m sure this room is exceptional! We arrived at a time when the AC system was being upgraded or fixed. We were warned ahead of time, and we figured we would be fine, but stepping into the unit was very, very hot!! The temp read 96 degrees inside. The unit did have 2 fans and a swamp cooler?? One of those that you added water to, but this cooler seemed old. I had trouble figuring out how to use it. We ran into a neighbor who said she’s a 20 year old owner and she suggested we leave the front door open and let the air flow through. That worked great!! It cooled off the unit better than the little cooler provided. She also told us it was safe. We stayed in 618, which was at the end of the hall…. So we didn’t have to worry about anyone walking by. I wish we had been told about this alternative way to cool the unit from the beginning. That’s all it needed. Other than that, Vacasa/ The Owners refunded me a bit back on my stay for the inconvenience, and that was appreciated! I would definitely recommend this unit for a stay! The view is exceptional!! I liked that the beach below was never too crowded. We went walking toward the hotel/resort areas and the amount of people on those beaches was outrageous! I was thankful for our area that was less populated and had plenty of room on the beach to swim, lounge & sit without much disturbance. And it wasn’t loud. The food trucks are nearby, The Times grocery store is right across the street. It’s a great area.

Mahana is a great resort for those looking for some peace and quiet. Mahana is right on the rim of all the fun the beach boardwalk offers. The pool is smaller but very well maintained and the reef along the resort is awesome. You can see turtles everyday come and go with the tides. We would definitely stay again.

The property itself is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! We were not told at time of booking about construction, only after the fact. Were assured there would be portable AC units sufficient to cool the condo. It did not! The room was 85-83 both nights we managed to make it! In constant contact with booking firm. Not happy at all about arrangements! Entirely unacceptable for the money paid for accommodations. One person from management company did not even respond/answer call! Broken chair on balcony. Refrigrerator filters (water and ice) needed to be replaced. Were told we would be moved to another unit with AC. Given 3 choices. Told the other one had been checked and had working AC. It did not even have AC. Long story...but to make it short, we were given a complete refund - after staying 2 nights at the first unit, in an 85 degree room, moving everything to another unit that did not even have AC, then finding and booking our own reservations at another location. Not something you want to do after saving, planning, and looking forward to a relaxing, peaceful, vacation of a lifetime in Maui! First and last time to book any reservations with Vacasa. Have used VRBO many times, with success. But never again with Vacasa!

My daughter and I decided to go on a “girls” vacation and we sure picked the perfect location. The condo was perfect in every way- it was clean and included everything that we needed for the week. The location is ideal and close to everything. The ocean view is spectacular, it’s mesmerizing to just relax and take it all in. Highly recommend this beautiful rental.

Fabulous condo on the ocean. Well stocked and very clean. Had everything we could possibly need to prepare breakfast daily and have afternoon cocktails overlooking the ocean. First day, the coffee maker was not working and within hours we had a brand new replacement. Amazing customer service. Unfortunately, A/C did not work for the entire stay and I expect Vacasa or the homeowner will compensate us for this.
Location was great, direct ocean front. Washer/Dryer in unit as well as laundry detergent was a major plus!

We loved that the bedroom had the same view and also access to the balcony. We loved this property!! It was absolutely perfect for two people. They supplied beach chairs and umbrellas which was super great! You can walk the beach in both directions or walk to restaurants via the beach or boardwalk that is conveniently located just off the parking area. Having a washer and dryer was another added bonus. We look forward to being able to stay at this property again!!!

Unit was well furnished and clean. Only complaint is that MB sun screen was broken in the down position. I called Vacasa upon checkin to request the screen’s repair, and it wasn’t during our 5 day stay. I had to rig a temporary solution to keep the screen up.

Our stay was terrific. Aside from the beauty and charm and all that Maui offers our Mahana rental was great. Clean and comfortable and well appointed.
A couple of minor issues that would have been nice to knows going in would have been good though. Once we had communicated the issues, they were acknowledged and already going to be dealt with.
Wouldn't hesitate to book there again! Thanks for the wonderful home for our vacation!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the most exceptional vacation homes I have ever experienced. Located right next to the stunning Kaanapali Beach, this rental exceeded all my expectations and provided an unforgettable getaway.
First and foremost, the location was absolutely perfect. Waking up each morning and being just steps away from the breathtaking Kaanapali Beach was a dream come true. The proximity allowed me to indulge in the beauty of the ocean, and the added bonus was the incredible sight of turtles right outside the balcony. It was truly magical to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, without having to spend extra on turtle tours. This alone made my stay here priceless.
The vacation rental itself was a gem. It truly felt like a home away from home, offering all the amenities one could ask for. The full kitchen was a delight, allowing me to prepare my own meals and enjoy them in the comfort of a cozy and well-appointed space. The king-sized bedroom provided the utmost comfort and ensured a restful night's sleep, which is essential when you're on vacation.
One of the highlights for me was the convenience of having an in-house laundry and dryer. This made it incredibly easy to pack light and keep my clothes fresh throughout my stay. Additionally, the inclusion of beach umbrellas and chairs was a thoughtful touch. It saved me the hassle and expense of renting them at a resort, which can often be quite pricey. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the effort put into making my stay as enjoyable as possible.
Overall, I cannot speak highly enough about this vacation rental. From its unbeatable location next to Kaanapali Beach to the amazing sightings of turtles right outside the balcony, every aspect of my stay was simply incredible. The condo was exactly as pictured in the listing. The bathroom shower configuration was very convenient for rinsing out swimsuits and snorkel gear. Amazing sunset views, lots of whale watching using our own binoculars which we brought. Airport beach is right outside so easy beach access. Also a short walk to the supermarket, food trucks, and Duke’s.

I LOVE this condo! Location is key! The condo is beautifully furnished and the view is amazing! I stayed here in December booked through AirBnB, then again in February. Except this this second time around I booked directly through Vacasa and saved a couple hundred bucks! I plan on returning to this beautiful condo as much as possible. Everything you need is there, from cooking pots to beach gear such as beach chairs, floating devices down to sunscreen! No need to over pack either, they have a washing machine and dryer there. This is my family's favorite spot! Thank you Vacasa for a wonderful and memorable stay! Mahalo!

We had a wonderful stay at Mahana 618 in late December 2022. The construction was not a problem - we heard drilling on one day and there was some scaffolding up on the non-ocean side. Water pressure and water temperature in the shower were a little inconsistent but it sounds like water pressure was a problem in that whole region that week. The views from the condo are incredible and we spent a lot of time watching whales in the distance from the lanai (bring binoculars). Unit is nicely updated. We liked that parking was close and free and that there was no resort fee. We enjoyed snorkeling from the beach about 300 m to the south (just S of the Westin).

This was a lesson learned for us to not book a rental if there is a notation of construction, especially not at a premium price of a $1,000 a night. I saw the construction notation in August but naively thought maybe the majority of work would be completed by late February. The drilling noise was awful and sounds like it's coming through your wall. That noise is now on my top 10 list of worst sounds. It wasn't possible to hold a normal conversation or hear the tv. We tried to make light of it saying our stay would make a good sitcom episode. We've been to Maui a few times and have done all the touristy things. We booked this trip specifically for relaxing on the lanai while whale watching but this wasn't possible during the day.
On a positive note, the condo itself is clean, nice, has amazing view and easy access. Under normal circumstances I would've rated the condo a 5.

The unit itself has breathtaking views from the living room, kitchen and the bedroom. Kitchen has all the essentials, and there’s plenty of space to stretch out & be comfortable. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable enough. Overall I had a pleasant experience despite the construction going on which was initially a concern after reading some reviews. I tried contacting Vacasa by phone and email several times, a few days before I arrived. I am still waiting for a call back! Lol! I was told multiple times a local agent would call and they never did. I then decided to call the front desk to ask about the construction and was told by a rude front desk agent that Unit 618 was privately owned and she couldn’t help me. She kept placing me on hold and wouldn’t let me ask a simple question and practically hung up on me. I have Never experienced this type of service in the numerous times I’ve visited Maui, and I travel to the island once a year. I tried calling the property again hoping for a different person to take my call and luckily the next person was very friendly this time. When she explained that the unit is private, I told her I only wanted to know the status of the construction and not be surprised. I had to speak quickly before she hung up, to let her know Vacasa won’t call me back and is why I needed her help.
When I arrived at the property, the outside had scaffolding and workers walking around. Once inside the unit, I couldn’t tell any construction was going on whatsoever!! Despite all outreach to Vacasa being ignored, the property and unit itself were beautiful and my husband and I had a great time.

Walking distance to grocery store and a few shops and restaurants including L&L BBQ. Walking distance to a few food truckstoo. Coral reefs in front of condominiums, but 100 yards south is easy sandy beach access. Don't walk on reef you can get hurt and it damages the coral. Always a couple turtles in the surf in front of the condos.

The view was absolutely amazing! We saw so many whales while sitting on the deck. Very clean. Pool and hot tub great! We were there on a weekend, so the noisy construction was not an issue at all.
