This incredible 180° view is to-die-for! The Pacific Ocean, jetty, marina, river, and mountains will captivate your senses with unobstructed views to Catalina. The Harbor is just a short walk over the river bridge to shops and great restaurants. This sought-after 2 BR, 2 BA single level cottage unit is in a very private location, just steps to the sand and surf.
The kitchen has an updated gorgeous slab granite, custom cabinets, glass tile back splash, stainless steel appliances, and wood-look porcelain floors. Both baths have also been remodeled with granite counters and stone showers. Attractively furnished with a cozy fireplace, queen size sleeper sofa, 2 chairs and an ottoman, Surf View Cottage is the ideal hub for your Southern California beach vacation! The master bedroom has a king size bed, and the second bedroom has a twin and double bunk bed. All bed linens are provided. The kitchen features a stainless steel refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. It is equipped with dishes, pots, pans and flatware, cooking utensils, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. The dining area seats 6.

As you walk through the staffed secure gate to North Coast Village you are transported to a tropical oasis reminiscent of the Costa Rican Rain Forest. Running streams, waterfalls, lush foliage, and Koi meander through the spacious grounds of this resort-like beachfront condominium complex in Oceanside California.
You will notice the crystal clear heated pool and spa, gleaming barbecues, convenient picnic tables, sand rinsing stations to remove the lingering beach. If you need a break from sun and surf, you might enjoy a game of pool on one of North Coast Village's 2 new pool tables, a jog on a treadmill in the exercise room, a little ping pong, or a sauna. Feeding our giant Koi fish is a simple pleasure not to be missed during your Oceanside visit.
When you venture all the way through the back gates, you find yourself on one of North San Diego County’s finest beaches: broad and flat, with fire rings, volleyball, and great surf breaks - right out back! Be sure to stake out a fire ring (to the left) for a unique evening beach fire at least one night while you are in Oceanside.
To the north, you can walk to Oceanside’s busy little harbor for a bite to eat or some boating, and to the south, you can venture down the strand to southern California’s longest pier for some fishing (no license needed). North Coast Village is close enough to walk to everything near the beach, so your car can stay in its secure underground parking spot - especially useful when beach parking becomes a premium in the summer.

My vacation rental experience was very wonderful overall. I rented this vacation rental because I lost my daughter and I have family coming in town for her funeral services. This vacation rental allows me the opportunity to spend time with my family and also grieve my daughter loss by the beach me and my family had a wonderful time in spite of the horrible circumstances.

The property was beautiful and we could see the beach from the unit. The unit provided towels, beach towels and beach chairs which came in handy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed. My disappointment was when dealing with the internet and TV, neither would work. The internet would work here and there and the local cable not at all. When trying to get this resolved they wanted us to be at the apartment between a certain time. Unfortunately this was our vacation and we had plans and didn't want to be tied down waiting for people to show up. In the end it never got resolved but they did compensate us after a few phone calls back and forth. If we came back we would not stay here.

We came for my daughter’s wedding. Stayed at North Coast Village before but this unit was perfect!!! So many positive things about this unit. Plenty cooking features. The property was so close to the beach. One issue with the bathroom but they came out immediately to fix the problem(sink wouldn’t drain) next time we’re in the area we will for sure try to rent this again. I even forgot something after I left and they secured it and was able to have someone come get it. 100% satisfied!!!

I'll start by saying I would stay in this rental again. The location is great; on a quiet stretch of beach in Oceanside. The view is wonderful, and we enjoyed watching surfers in the morning and sunset in the evening. The unit is (mostly) very well appointed, and the beds are comfortable. I do have a few issues, however. We had trouble with the front door lock on more than one occasion and had to call a security guard to help us get in the unit. I got locked in the primary bedroom twice by just shutting the door--I didn't lock it--and it took my husband quite a while jiggling the door knob from the other side to get the door open. The unit needs instructions for working the TV in the living room. When I talked to someone in the office she said "are you tech-savvy? This is what you do...." If you need to be tech savvy, you should have instructions. Finally, there were a lot of scuff marks on the walls and some very beat up end tables in the primary bedroom--which were particularly noticeable because the rest of the furniture was in great condition. So, these are quibbles but are little things that if addressed, would have made our stay perfect. Finally, please note that you need to bring your own toiletries and should bring all your streaming service log in information/passwords.

Fantastic location. Love the beach. Nice condo, recently remodeled with great set up. No beach umbrella like most other north coast village units. The only downside was maintenance/landscaping being worked on below the balcony so we had limited time to enjoy peace and quiet on the balcony during the day - understandable that work needed to be completed and this would not prevent us from returning.

This location is amazing!! The place is steps to the beach. There are great beds including the couch bed and the kitchen is stocked with tons of items for your stay!!

The unit was very clean and had everything we needed for our family with 2 kids under 7. We enjoyed being so close to the beach. We were extremely happy with the communication and flexibility around our schedule. Would definitely stay again.

The property was great - very convenient access to the beach, and lots of amenities on property. The check-in process was a little confusing at first, and we had a small issue with the lock on our front door - but once we figured that out it was great! Highly recommend this property!

Location is amazing, right off the beach. Nice resort with good pool and hot tub. The unit is clean, The only thing worth noting is there are ants in the unit, as address in the property description, this is common with most places we've stayed by the beach. Just make sure to keep your food sealed up. Thanks for the great stay!

Been staying at North Coast for years, this location is by far our favorite. The unit was equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. However, the carpet, drapes and furniture were so disgusting. The fans they had available were either broken or filthy. Needs a deep clean for sure- otherwise it would be a 5 star place to stay.

this property was perfect for our family. It was close to the beach with minimal stairs. The beach on the north side of the property has less rocks and good walking. According to the teens, the waves are not as good for body surfing as the south side, but that is up for discussion. The unit was clean, modern. The king bed was really comfortable. The unit does not have left overs from other renters like some units do. There is salt, pepper, small bars of soap and that's it.
Knowing that helps with packing. Bring your own everything.

We started staying in this unit when it was first remodeled and it is a shame to see how much it has degraded in 5 years due to the lack of attention and high volume of guest traffic.
We have been going to NCV for 8 or 9 summers now. This was our 4th time in this particular unit. Overall this has been our favorite unit. However, this year's stay was a bit disappointing. There is a major lack of maintenance and cleaning. A couple of the portable fans don't work. The ones that do are covered in dust/grime. The carpet is dirty and falling apart by the hall bathroom. The carpet is frayed so much that the carpet nails are visibly protruding. I placed a rolled up towel there to remind my kids not to step there. The couch and blankets smell like they need a good cleaning. A button was missing off the dining bench and a piece of wire/metal was protruding. The master shower seal needs replaced. The master sink is missing a drain cover. The master toilet is loose and would move. One of the kitchen drawers is falling apart. A lot of the cookware looked dirty and beat up. A lot of the handles are starting to corrode due to the ocean air. The walls and baseboards could use a good cleaning and touch up paint. The outdoor patio table has really corroded and the finish is flaking off.
I really hope the owners decide to make the necessary repairs and do the upkeep needed as we do like the location and style of this unit. If not, we will have to start looking for a different one of similar style.

Check in was easy; We've stayed at NCV several times in the past 5 years and really enjoy the property - don't know that there is anything comparable on the beach in SoCal. The landscaping, water features and amenities are great - don't change those!!!; The view and location are ideal - would not trade that at all - almost perfect; The condo was clean; Didn't have some of the items like beach umbrellas and boogie boards that other places in the past had, but it was easy enough to rent or buy those and beach chair were included; Loved the bunk bed set up here in the second bedroom; Again, wish we could've stayed longer - Thanks for a great mini-vacation!

This was a wonderful property and the location was beautiful. The property is full of beautiful plants and is well maintained. My kids loved the beach that was just steps away. The pool was wonderful along with the game room. The property manager was great to work with; we had an issue with one of the beds and the handy man was there to fix it within an hour.

This is my second stay at this property and cannot say enough about this rental. The kitchen was unbelievable! It was fully stocked there was nothing to need or want. Great view of the ocean. As always the grounds were immaculate!

October 2021 Stay
We absolutely loved this condo!! The view from the balcony was beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. Everything was nicely remodeled. The beds were extremely comfortable. We definitely want to stay here again.
