This was our 4th trip to Red Bridge lodge and it didn’t disappoint! Plenty to do for kids and adults, and what a gorgeous property!! Chris and Amy are amazing hosts and always make sure we have what we need. So thankful that they share their property with us!!

Our family of 22 stayed in Hot Springs (12 at the Red Bridge Lodge, 7 next door at the Red Bridge Cottage, and 3 a couple of blocks away)for several days. We all agreed it was a joyous time together and a "must come again" kind of vacation. The lodge is beautiful and accommodated 3 small families perfectly.
Having Spring Creek in the backyard was simply wonderful for all the kids of every age... and for the adults, as well. We swam, floated, fished, and laughed all day long. At night we played cornhole, badminton and ping pong. Each day ended with roasted marshmallows around the campfire and more smiles.
Big Pillow Brewery, just steps away, was loads of fun, too, with good music and great food! And I wouldn't want to forget to mention our memorable floating trip down the French Broad with the local rafting company!
I could go on and on, but I would just be repeating all the great things everyone else has to say about this incredible home, its glorious backyard, and the convenient location. Thank you, Chris and Amy, for being warm hosts and for sharing your home with us!

The house and property were perfect for our long weekend visit with our young adult children. The house has plenty of room, with comfortable beds and hanging out areas including a big, welcoming and well-stocked kitchen and dining area. The house was clean and bright inside and well-air-conditioned. We loved the location along the river and truly enjoyed spending time in the river and in the big yard. We liked the house’s central location in town, with the coffee house, brewery, taqueria and outfitters less than a 5 minute walk away. The hosts were readily available when we had questions. Thank you!

The house is big and very functional. Kitchen has everything you’d need. The bedrooms are spacious and comfy. The yard is amazing! Has a stream running through it, has a fire pit and places to eat or hang out. All the restaurants and shops are a block away but it’s still peaceful and quiet. We want to come back!

We loved our time at this property, and we would 10/10 stay here again.
In prior trips to Hot Springs, we have stayed at cabins in the mountains, sometimes overlooking the town and sometimes farther away, but this was the first time we stayed in town. We loved it.
The house itself has plenty of room and is well kept. The owners are next-level responsive - super easy to deal with. The backyard is great. In fact, the thing we most enjoyed about the house was being able to sit by Spring Creek, listen to the flow of the water, light a fire, and enjoy the outdoors.
The location is great. Big Pillow Brewery - one of our favorite places anywhere - is just steps away, and it was a daily landing spot for us, both for the beverages and the tacos from the Grey Eagle Taqueria located there.
Our other stops included Spring Creek Tavern, Vinyl Pies Pizza, Iron Horse Station, and Vaste Riviere Provisions, all of which are not more than a two-minute walk. Smoky Mountain Diner is on the other side of town, but it, too, is a very comfortable walk for us.
Every morning, we walked over to Artisun and picked up coffee, and we made several trips to Gentry Hardware (a great local hardware store) and Bluff Mountain Outfitters just to look around and stock up on shirts, gadgets, and the like. All an easy walk.
Hot Springs was already a special place, but staying here helped us see it from a different angle. Highly recommend.

The property is wonderful and having a firepit on the stream behind the house is perfect for relaxing time. The owners are pleasant, easy to work with, and always responsive.

We held our daughter's wedding in the back green area of the lodge. It was a twilight wedding with perfect fall weather. The hosts of the Red Bridge Lodge are fantastic, gracious, and helpful. You will never regret staying here.

Creek was full of trout! Close to town and you hardly notice the railroad tracks. Hot water wet out and was fixed about 30 minutes after we called.

We love this house! The kids floated and swam in the creek, we hiked some local trails, we walked into town for dinner, and we sat by the fire pit at night. It was a lovely long weekend away with friends!

Great location and plenty of room for a large family for gatherings. This property has everything you need and has the Spring Creek running right through the property for fishing and tubing. The floor plan is modern yet utilizes the charm of a historical home. Would highly recommend this property and the owners could not have been more accommodating.

This was our second time staying at Red Bridge lodge and it won’t be the last. We love having the big yard and the creek to fish and float in and the house is charming and well appointed.

We have stayed in over 100 VRBO houses and this one tops them all. Theres not one single negative thing I could say. We played frisbee, ping pong, corn hole, slip and slide, football to name a few. We swam and rafted down the creek. We fished and caught numerous trout. The outside is beautiful with plenty of space. The inside is amazing! I really can't think of a superlative to describe this place.

We will be back that’s for sure. Was a great getaway with my in-laws who had never been to North Carolina. It was wonderful to have the stream out back, a fully equipped kitchen, and walking distance to town. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the RBL. We had everything we needed and more to make our retreat even more enjoyable. The house was clean and neat with a cozy vibe. The beautiful kitchen was well stocked with all of the essentials. The rooms were spacious and laid out perfect. Perfect amount of bedrooms to accommodate us all. The land provided a beautiful setting and we loved the fire pit on Spring Creek. Chris & Amy were very responsive and accommodating. We were even blessed with a beautiful snowfall. It was a 5 star plus rating.

Our stay in Hot Springs has become a family tradition!!! We love everything about this quaint town and the beautiful property. The back yard is a dream !!!! Our family time here is a treasure - cooking, baking holiday goodies, playing games, roasting S’Mores, hiking and relaxing makes for the perfect getaway. A week of blessings 😊

This property was perfect for a mountain Thanksgiving getaway. We had two families of four staying at the Red Bridge Lodge and it was spacious enough for all of us. The kitchen was well-equipped and the dining table was just right for Thanksgiving dinner. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

My second time in this beautiful and historic home. Everyone was just as in love with it as I am, from the beautiful wood paneling and stone walls to the interesting hide and seek bedrooms (we almost missed one altogether). Perfect place to spread out and relax, and Hot Springs is adorable and so effortless to get around to everything: the new brewery is less than one minute's walk from the front door - we enjoyed tacos, drinks, and four rounds of trivia and still made it over to our 8pm hot tub soak at the spa next door.

This was the perfect place to have a wedding!! My my new wife decided that this was the perfect place to have a fall wedding. She was so so so right. It was so beautiful!!! Her entire family stayed in the house. The owner was so easy to work with. Hes the chillest person we have ever met. We had 120 guests at our wedding and everyone loved the perfect setting for the wedding. Definitely recommend this place for anyone for any reason.

Perfect property for a large group, beautiful inside and out. Park your vehicle you will not need it, everything is within walking distance. The best part is the large backyard on the river.

We had a lovely time at this beautiful property. the house was gorgeous and felt "exactly right" as soon as we stepped into it. It was lovely for all of us to hang out and reconnect. We also hosted out informal wedding ceremony on the beautiful lawn and it was great for people to bring lawn chairs and blankets and have plenty of space around them. Spring Creek adds a beautiful surrounding touch. We enjoyed the firepit after guests had left and we stayed out a little longer soaking in the memories from the day. I really loved this spot and plan to book it again in the future.

This is a wonderful property! The house is large and very comfortable and the backyard is the crown jewel! We enjoyed a fire every night and floated in the Spring Creek in the tubes stacked in the garage! The hosts were great and accomodating and our stay could not have been more perfect! The house was also spotless when we checked in! It’s a short walk to town and Big Pillow Brewery! We will definitely be back!

Awesome walkable location in a fun small town. Easy to drive into Asheville if you miss the hustle and bustle. We loved the house and can't wait to go back.

College girlfriends reunion
Everything about this house and property were wonderful. It provided the most awesome meeting place for 9 college girlfriends. The description provided by the owners is totally accurate. The house accommodations were great for 9 women to have adequate space for sleeping and enough bathrooms to share. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals and the kitchen/dining area are beautifully done. We especially enjoyed the large farmhouse table for gathering. The room is just perfect! Also the two den areas were very nice, however, we spent the majority of our time outdoors because the huge yard with fire pit and chairs were most relaxing. Also, the creek was much enjoyed by sitting by it and floating on the tubes provided. The grill outside was very handy as well. The side porch with the swing was enjoyed for shade as needed. The proximity to the sweet town, the brewery, and the Hot Springs Spa was most convenient as we walked to everything. We also enjoyed the nearby hiking at Lover’s Leap, Laurel Creek and Dudley Falls. We even enjoyed the train as it passed through. We commented to each other that we would like to make this an annual trip. We are all in our early 60’s and have enjoyed numerous trips together, but this one seemed to be the most enjoyed. We are looking forward to meeting here again! Thank you for being awesome hosts and sharing this wonderful property!

Getaway
We spent a lovely long weekend in Hot Springs with morning hikes to waterfalls, afternoons and evenings in the backyard or in creek or cooking out. The house was perfectly appointed with updated kitchen, several living areas for kids and adults to spread out, and very good beds/linens. Absolutely recommend.

Wonderful Experience
Perfect Location. Really amazing and spacious home and property. Loved our stay. You can walk to all restaurants, hiking and shopping! We never even got in our car. We had a firepit each night overlooking the water. It was a wonderful experience. Clean property as well! Had everything we needed!!

Idyllic home and location
We LOVED our weekend stay. The home is lovely and updated, but still has historic charm and features. The living and eating spaces are large and easily accommodated 4 small families with kids ranging from ages 2-14. The huge yard and property were even more perfect for the kids, and we had lots of fun throwing rocks into the river, putting our feet into the water, and just lounging in the adorondack chairs listening to the water. The game room was also a hit! The house's location in town is also wonderful- in walking distance to everything but just enough "away" to feel secluded and out of the busy-ness. One of the bathrooms was without toilet paper when we arrived, and it wouldn't hurt to have had a few more bath towels, but those are really inconsequential details (I try to remember to bring extra paper products, but forgot this trip). Thank you for a lovely stay!
