Overall, we LOVED this place and hope to visit it again. It was very dog friendly, which is hard to find (separate, but connected fenced yard, fenced deck, dog friendly neighbors, etc.). The deck by the water has a cute gazebo, the game room was a hit with our teens, the sandy beach and kayaks were in great condition, the cove is not crazy busy even on a holiday weekend, and the place was clean and well stocked with standard kitchen/bathroom necessities. My only feedback would be a clearer list of what to bring vs. what they have, further in advance - plan to bring or rent sheets/towels, they have a regular coffee machine, no kettle, but there is a gas grill. They do have paper products to get started, but knowing it's a bit of a drive to a store, bring extras with you as well as things like foil/plastic wrap, spices etc. Thank you for having us!!

Very nice house and we liked that we and our friends could bring or small dogs. Plenty of kitchen supplies, very nice deck and great area for the pups. Plenty of cul decsacs to also walk your pets too. Rectangular small screened in porch area which was great for the day it rained All Day! We also used the kayaks which was nice to have. The game room needs a little updating as the foos ball table and ping pong table need some balancing but we had fun with the ping pong. The AC unit in the garage did not stay on But we weren’t in there a great deal of the time. It’s a great house if you have kids b/c the upstairs has 2bedrooms and PlayStation in the sitting area for the young adults. We really liked watching the deer-a group of 6/7 that hang around a lot. Would definitely go again!

Wonderful location, great dock we’re we caught a ton of fish, plus it was easy to use the kayaks off of it. Gorgeous views the minute you walk in, loved the fire pit and deck area. Super dog friendly side yard, they even had dog bowls. The kitchen had every type of cooking implement, utensils, etc you needed. They had lots of books and dvds, games. Our kids are
Grown but would be wonderful for little ones! Deer through out the neighborhood. 15 minute drive to store, restaurants and even wineries.
We really enjoyed our stay!
Only complaint is there were a lot of spiderwebs that needed to be taken care of on the outside.

We really enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back. There is no need to look for another house because this one was perfect for us. So we will be renting “Here Comes The Sun” again. Thank you.

Overall our stay was great. It was a little musty in the house when we first got there, but that was probably because it was raining. Other than that, it was a great place to stay for the week. The dock was not big, but it was adequate for docking our boat. On the topic of nature, there are random groups of deer just strolling around the neighborhood all day. At one point there were 7 deer watching me fish in the morning. I was more worried about my dogs seeing them than I was about the deer themselves. Great little place to get away for the week, just be careful when driving around the lake and watch for deer. The wife liked the water pressure in the shower and wanted me to mention that the bedroom is pitch black at night (which was awesome).

It was beautiful!!! We loved the dock/gazebo, the fire pit and the deck! All had beautiful views of the lake.
Our only criticism was we were unable to adjust the thermostat and the heat kept coming on unnecessarily.

We chose to stay here again this year after loving all the amenities for traveling with our dogs and 4yr old when we stayed last summer! We were a little disappointed the kayaks have a lot of wear and tear and aren’t as functional this year from broken seat backs. We enjoyed the option of the garage game room to pass some time during the rain. The lake was beautiful as always, we loved it was still warm enough for a swim but some peaks of fall starting to come out!

Great location, privacy. Dog run is very convenient and secure. Love having the kayaks -- used them a lot -- but brought my own vests. The main deck needs some major work -- several rot spots and rough boards are dangerous for feet and paws. Air Conditioning seems to have been upgraded!! I don't recall the 2 zone system last year (2021) and it worked super well this year (2022). I wish there was direct water access without rip wrap (rocks) on the right side of the dock. That would provide much better swimming access for people and pets. As it is, if you access the water from the tiny beach, you have to swim in the narrow gap between your dock and the neighbor's dock to get to the larger area. But overall, a nice place with lots of amenities to enjoy.

Overall good: Kayaks were a big plus, boat dock was convenient and accessible without a lot of waves. Downside: basement was musty, shower curtain was moldy, different height of one inside stair going to second floor caused falls, protruding screw on deck off living room, dock 'handrail' to step on lower dock is too near the post and pinches fingers .

Easy booking and check in. Property had games and kayaks that we all enjoyed.
Relaxing experience with fun extras. Beautiful lake with clean water. Fun fishing and kayaking. We enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit and the mini pool table in the garage.

Horrible mattresses and dirty bathtub
The property itself was well stocked and in a good location. Unfortunately we hardly slept because the king mattress sinks to the middle and is very uncomfortable. Upon arrival the main level bathtub had several pieces of hair in it so we had to clean it ourselves. Not what I expect for a rental property.

Nice weekend getaway
We enjoyed a relaxing Labor day weekend here. Swam off the dock, made s'mores over the fire pit and relaxed on the deck. Close to store and state park. Comfortable and well stocked.

Great amenities and welcomes dogs!
We had some cleaning issues at check in but had a quick response from the property managers who offered to send someone back out to take care of it. The house is adorable and the amenities are great! We enjoyed the beach area for our toddler and dogs to play in the water edge and sand, the kayaks, fire pit, and dock. We rented a boat for a day and we’re able to dock it at the house for some breaks when needed. It was great to find a rental that didn’t just allow our dogs but welcomed them. There were so many little touches that made traveling with dogs much easier and enjoyable for us all!

Comfortable Lake House on Quiet Cove
My family of five enjoyed a very comfortable stay mid-August. We enjoyed the peaceful cove the house sat on and rented a pontoon boat for a couple of days that we were able to dock right at the house. The path down to the lake from the house was an easy walk. Kids loved the game room.

Family vacay
The house was wonderful and the inside was clean. Just wish the porches were cleaned more. They were hard to enjoy due to massive spider webs all over them. Other than that I would definitely give it a 10 outta 10!!!!

great spot but filthy on arrival
Here Comes the Sun was a delightful house, well equipped and wonderful location. The only downside was that it was a mess when we showed up, the trash cans were full, every surface was filthy, and there was trash spewed all over the place. After four hours of cleaning- it was a great week- just not an ideal start to a vacation. Kayaks were great. Beach was tiny but great for little kids.

Nice weekend getaway
There were a few things that could've been a little more clean suchas the patio furniture and the furniture around the fire pit, that being said the cabin was cozy. The beds were very comfortable. The view was gorgeous and this was a easy wonderful trip. I would definitely recommend.

Overall Great Stay
The house was great! Wasn’t thrilled about having to take sheets and towels for the stay, that’s a lot of extra baggage for a family of 4. But, loved the property....will definitely stay there again!

Comfortable house with everything we needed. We loved the deck overlooking the lake. The two kayaks for our use were a wonderful surprise. Location was great right next to the state park. Neighborhood very friendly. Our dog loved it, too!

Memorable
This was our second stay at Here Comes the Sun. Although we enjoyed both stays immensely, on our first stay it rained every day. This trip, however, redeemed itself. We couldn't ask for better weather. It was beautiful. This is the perfect place for our family to spend some quality time together. Including my daughter's two dogs! The house was clean and well equipped. We plan to return in 2021. Maybe in the spring or fall . . . or possibly both!

Adorable property - great location
We have two children ages 5 and 7 and the house couldn't have been set up any better for them. They loved the tree house (which is in really good shape), and their favorite thing was having their own "lounge" as they called it upstairs. There were a bunch of kids movies and books too. The outside areas were fantastic. The deck is huge, the dock is in good shape, and you have a covered gazebo if there is rain. There are deer roaming around there all the time which was fun to watch. There isn't a hammock by the dock any longer. Lastly, we met a couple of the neighbors and they were very nice. We had a couple of hiccups at check-in, but thanks to prompt and professional communication with the property managers, it didn't taint our experience. We would absolutely stay at this property again.

Great place to stay
Started off a bit stressful as we were given the wrong lock box code and it took several calls to reach someone. Issue was fixed promptly at that point. Great location, perfect for dogs, could enter water on small sand beach or jump off the dock. Lots of fun there! Perfect for our pups too. Pups could stay gated with us on the deck when we hung out. Had morning coffee in the dock gazebo and watched the visiting deer. Teens loved game room. Pleasant neighbors too. Fire pit was awesome too-perfect for roasting hot dogs and making smores. Very relaxing and enjoyable place!

Fun in the Sun
This property is very well located in a neighborly cove. It was well laid out for a two families and we enjoyed all of the outdoor areas. We were able to rent a pontoon and dock it at the property which was wonderful.

Our Family's New Favorite Place
Everything comes as promised at "Here Comes The Sun." And that's a rare thing. Whereas many rental properties pale to their photos and write-ups, this one shines brighter in real life. Me, my wife, and 2 young kiddos had a blast over a long weekend: fishing on the dock, hanging out on the lake "beach," taking the pedal boat for a cruise, roasting s'mores in the fire pit, and playing pool in the game room. I never write reviews, but this place brought us such happiness in a time when we needed it most that I felt compelled to. Have a blast and treat this property well. Cheers!

Happiness even in the rain!
Although our week was quite rainy (all the docks were flooded),
we had a wonderful time! First off, the place fit our needs perfectly. The house was totally clean (great job!) and stocked well with the necessities. The only gotcha was an improper lock box code which was remedied quickly by a call to the number that was provided on our paperwork. We've already booked another week in October. Thanks VRBO! You make the process easy!
