These condos make up the entire top floor of Sonenalp and are connected by both an interior foyer and an expansive back balcony with a private hot tub and sauna.

Each condo has a large open floor plan with plenty of plush seating for large groups. The fully stocked expansive kitchens boast granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and high-end appliances making it easy to cook a wonderful meal at home. The condos worked very well for our family of 13. Great location and functionally worked well for us.

This unit is two 3 bedroom condos with an adjoining landing. It was perfect for our growing family with our kids and grandkids. We were all able to stay together in a roomy place with nice amenities. We did have to block the stairway to prevent the little ones from going down the stairs. We will definitely come again!

This is our 2nd time staying at this great condo combo. The accommodations are perfect for our family (grandparents, kids and spouses, grandkids. The lockers at canyon lodge are perfect for storing gear. The condo is walking distance from lifts. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen has all you need for a perfect family vacay!

Excellent location. Very communicative and took care of any problems we had along the way!

We rented all 4 condos for our annual ski trip. Condos were large and comfortable and management staff was on top of everything during the massive storm while we arrived. Big bonus is the large underground garage especially considering the 45" of snow we received as we arrived.

This 2-condo combination was perfect for our group of 9 dads looking for a little ski trip getaway! The place was exactly as described, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing, enjoyable, comfortable stay. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen for us to cook with. The hot tub was great, and we were just a short walk (or drive) from Canyon. Communication with the owner was thorough and easy prior to and during our stay.
We would definitely stay here again on a future visit!

This was a great find. We came with a large group and the property accommodated us all very nicely. All the bedrooms are spacious. The location was perfect for those that wanted to walk up to the slopes and ski and also for those who wanted to relax at home and hop on a shuttle to the village. The ski locker was a great addition!

Mary Beth was amazing! The two condos were prefect for our group. She maintained it well with all the snow they got this season. Walking distance to the lifts, well stocked kitchen. Will go back.

Great location and a lot of space. Price was high for this stay but it turned out to be worth it in the long run.

With the walls of snow everywhere the property was tricky to find, but Mary Beth gave wonderfully accurate directions. She was responsive to all our inquiries in a timely manner and welcomed any questions. The property laid out perfectly for our 3 generations of family, (although we were mildly surprised at the lack of elevator!).

We loved these condos! They were super clean and cozy with plenty of space for our three families and a quick, easy walk to Canyon Lodge. Being able to walk to the slopes with kids versus having to find parking was a game changer! Highly recommend this property.

Mary Beth of Adventure Refined was helpful and communicative from point of booking until our departure. We occupied both top floor condo units which was perfect for a mix of friends and family. The quarter mile walk to Canyon Lodge was a huge plus for the skiers/snowboarders in our party. The condo units were clean, thematically decorated, and comfortable for our group. We had a great time cooking meals, enjoying the jacuzzi, playing games, etc... We will definitely be returning!

Excellent stay for a large family group ,
Close to Canyon Lodge.
Only problem was the bus/trolleys were a bit unreliable ( we waited for close to an hour one night)

The rooms and the bathrooms were spacious and fit everyone comfortably definitely recommended staying here !

Family and friends ski trip get away
Quite amazing. We had our own private jacuzzi as we rented the entire top unit. We had our own sauna too. Everyone had a great time and it was truly a home away from home experience.

Fantastic Vacation
We had a family trip in Mammoth and stayed at this wonderful place. We had 2 units on the second floor which were perfect for our family (myself and husband; daughters and their spouses; and 4 grandkids!). Mary Beth (the host) was incredible - easy to get in touch with, accommodating our last minute need for cribs and highchairs. The lockers downstairs were perfect for storing skis overnight (and the lockers at ski patrol as well). The units were well stocked with everything you would need for staying in and cooking. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was a treat! Clean and always warm for relaxing after a day of skiing. We could walk to the lifts which was an added convenience. We will definitely stay again!

Loved this place! It was perfect for the 5 couples. gave us both privacy and opportunity to commune with friends. Location is also fabulous with a short walk up the hill to the Canyon Lodge. Thank you Mary Beth for being a great host!

Everyone was happy...
The perfect place to get the FAMILY together with plenty of space to accommodate everyone. The kids had so much fun having their room with an Xbox available. We didn't have any issues with wifi connections to support 7 laptops. The kitchen was nicely stocked and clean. We had so many options available to dine in or out. Mary Beth was great and super helpful.

Beautiful place
All these condos are so clean and easy with under condo parking. Good quality furniture and great appliances and coffee maker, etc. Beds are so comfortable and Marybeth gave us high chairs or cribs to use too. The condos didnt feel small, they were so big with lots of space and good quality furniture. Marybeth was so nice to work with! She tried to accommodate the people flying in at odd times. Its great for families and so nice to not have to make trip to the slopes if your teenagers want to come and go as they please, its great to come back for a lunch break and rest. A 5 min walk to the slopes! A cut through where the gondola runs is a quick route.
We enjoyed this stay so much that we want to come back again!

Best group getaway yet!
We rented the top two units of this property for our annual family trip to Mammoth. We were 17 total, including seven children. There was ample space for all of us, both units were spacious, clean and had everything we could ever have needed for all our meals.
The location was extremely convenient for all those enjoying the mountain, and very easy for our youngest children to walk to Canyon for some snow fun.
Mary Beth was amazing as well. She was extremely responsive and thorough making sure our trip went smoothly.
Overall the experience was amazing and one of our best trips yet.

Perfect property for a large family
Perfect rental, in a great location for our large and very active family, plus a couple of friends, ages 3 yrs to 78…. We were able to enjoy a great deal of Mammoth AND Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite. The upstairs homes had all we needed to cook great meals after full days of hiking.

Amazing Family Vacation
Everything was amazing, so much room and the listing was exactly as described. The location was perfect for us. We had to use the BBQ Grills in the driveway downstairs which was a little bit of a hassle going up and down cooking so much food, but totally understandable for fire concerns with the city rules. Next time we will just opt to cook inside using the stove and oven. Communication with host was always on point and she was very responsive. Did get kind of warm inside the units but it was mid July and as long as we kept the many provided fans going and left the back doors open during the day, it was manageable. A great stay, we will be back.

Perfect
We were able to rent 3 of the 4 units to celebrate a wedding. The place was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Each unit is spacious, clean and taken care of. We highly recommend to anyone. Our contact was also very easy to work with and provided great communication.

Review for Units 3 and 4 (Upper Floor)
11 *single* adults visited and had PLENTY of room. Units were very clean and spacious. Both living areas were big enough to entertain all the guests in one area. There is an adjoining covered large deck which housed the sauna and hot tub, and was fantastic. Note that there are 3 floors you have to climb to get to the rooms, and 4 floors to climb if you are entering from the massive garage (No elevator). The garage entry doors are huge and tall. You could EASILY fit your suv with bikes standing vertical on the roof racks, and the spaces were very large... Raptor and Tundra fit side by side no problem. Keypad entry to everything was a godsend... don't have to worry about who gets the door keys. The large Kitchen was stocked with all kinds of sizes of pots and pans and cooking tools. Standard drip coffee maker, dishwasher, espresso machine, crock pot, toaster oven, fridge with icemaker, microwave/stove + other things we didn't use. Shower water pressure was great and the hot water got to you very quickly. Plenty of storage space in each of the bedrooms, and also included is a great walk-in-closet-sized "locker" downstairs attached to the garage to stash stuff. Super underrated feature are the XL pump bottles of Shampoo, Conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and dish soap located everywhere they needed to be, so unless you are super picky about stuff, you can leave all that at home. There were more than enough towels for everyone, including ones to use for the sauna/hot tub. The unit is super easy to get to, and very close to everything in town. Check in/out was a breeze. Dont have to go to any place in town beforehand. MaryBeth was super helpful throughout the entire process and very responsive when i had dumb questions. We will be back for sure!
The only downside is that the 2 BBQ's are located outside the garage, so it's a bit inconvenient to use, but i think Mammoth fire regs won't allow them on the decks right now.

Wonderful Family Reunion !
I recently enjoyed staying at Sonenalp. This was a family reunion . We traveled from different parts of CA as well as Houston & Des Moines. We had one small older dog that was approved to stay as well. There are nopt that many places that accept pets so this was truly wonderful. Although we only needed 4 bedrooms at the time , I was able to convince my cousins from outside of CA to join us. It was nice to have 2 living rooms, kitchens and plenty of places to spread out. Some of us were WFH so the additional space made that easy and convenient. The bedrooms are all quite spacious and well appointed with large TV's & cozy mountain decor.
It was fun to go across the hall in the morning for coffee from one condo to the next. The internet worked great as well. I loved the " Juliet" balconies with the beautiful trees.
We never needed to contact Mary Beth but I'm sure she would have taken care of any of our needs.
The garage was also spacious and clean. We easily parked for large vehicles in the spaces provided ... two spots for each condo unit. One of our favorite reunion activities is playing Ladder Ball. You need a bit of space to do this but fortunately because of the large driveway that became our playing spot.
We were there during the summer but noticed that the Main Lodge Ski Resort was only a few blocks away.
All and all we had a very pleasurable stay and would not hesitate to choose Sonenalp for our next trip to Mammoth.

Great Overall
I did give this unit a five star rating but did want to call out a couple of items that may help out future guests:
1) we rented both upstairs units and even though we were on the top, we still heard loud noises from the units below late in the night. We didn't make a big deal of this as the residents are also on vacation and just enjoying themselves as we did.
2) a couple days we were there, there was someone who entered the unit. There was definitely a spa technician and I wasn't sure who the other person was. I believe this is in the rental agreement but still, it doesn't feel safe having our belongings with a complete stranger in the unit while we are out. Again, this was called out in the rental agreement but sometimes just good to know before hand.
Beyond the two items above, we had a very good experience. The owner is very responsive before and throughout our stay. The units were spotless and have everything you need to feel like home. The spa was an added bonus, one which we really enjoyed. Parking was safe and plentiful, as each unit was allowed two garage spaces. Unit is centrally located and very convenient.

Great vacation spot!
My family had a great time here at the property. We had 4 families with wide age ranges (3 - 70) and this place was perfect as we separated the group into the 2 condos based on the early birds (old folks and young toddlers) and the night owls (young adults and their parents). Usually one or the other groups wakes up the other, but by separating them, everyone was able to sleep and have fun. The place was perfectly clean and had a great location and easy to find. A couple of small issues came up and the management responded immediately. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Mammoth!

Convenient location!
Great location next to Canyon lodge. We rented 3. & 4 and were able to spread out comfortably. Plenty of sleeping, bathrooms and kitchens. Made it easy for a large group of all ages. Nice hot tub for the two units to share. Big garage with convenient parking for 2 cars each unit. Would definitely rent again!
