The host was extremely welcoming and a great communicator. The house was a thoroughly enjoyable place to relax, with all amenities thoughtfully provided. Highly recommended for families and couples alike.

Unique CBD home definitely lives up to its name. It's a converted hairdressing salon and has partitions rather than internal walls in the main area. It worked for me and was an easy walk to restaurants, cinemas and shops. There is a spacious kitchenette, and two loos and a washing machine in the separate shower area and a really lovely outdoor pergola with a beautiful banksia rose. At night it was quiet, the aircon worked well and it'd be a great place for family gatherings.
I found parking at the rear. It would have been good if the fence wasn't there.

Location
Very cluttered, towels limited and poor quality, dark and dunk

so quaint and beautifully furnished
close to everything
4.0
the location,5 minute walk to the train station.
5 minute walk into town
the property is one space with the 2 sleeping areas screened off .they’re not actually bedrooms as you would normally expect.
couldn’t enter through the front door as front fence gate kept locked

Filled with very cool stuff
no plates and oven doesn’t work otherwise everything else was good

Beautiful house from the front. very well located. you can walk from the house.
The host was very polite and always answering any questions.
The house is ONLY beautiful from the outside. It is a shame that we can’t come into the house from the front door. Inside is only ONE room divided with whatever they have could have found to try to do a separation for beds. It looks like it was a hairdressing salon and It has been left the way it is to rent it as a house. Some of the covers are very old, thin and don’t cover the entire bed.
It does not correspond to the description where it is written « The holiday home with a terrace and city views has 2 bedrooms,… ».
No view either, no terrasse either (very tiny, no sun, dirty).
Very strong and unpleasant smell in the entire house.
We found food in the fridge, one of the sink has what it looks like vomit. The rug in the « living room » was full of crumbs.
Not enough glasses and plates either.
Very expensive for what you get. If we had paid a third of the price we won’t have complain. You get what you pay for but not in this case.
Very disappointed and feel ripped off.

The location was great for us
The smell and too much furniture around

near CBD
the room is not private room.
2.5
Close to centre of town.
Was not 2 bedrooms as advertised, 1 large room with partitions. Not accessible through front door as we were told it wasn't safe, which upset my children.
3.0
Small and basic facilities for the over inflated price.

We had such a great time! Host was so helpful and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Everything has been well thought out to fit into this unique space. Thank you so much for everything :)
4.0
Location was close to city centre and attractions. Property was easily accessible and clean with all required facilities.
Second bedroom could have been closed in to provide kids and adults separate space at bed time but wasn't unbearable.

great location and walking distance
there was not a proper bathroom

The property was impeccably clean. Beds were great - very comfortable with good linen, and warm. The host answered immediately when I had to ring with a question, and she was very helpful. There was a lovely little covered courtyard out back where it would be nice to have a bbq in warmer weather.
The decor was a disconcerting mish mash of colours, styles and cultures - appearing to be function over any aesthetic. Lots of random artificial flowers and plants. The lack of bedrooms was weird - just partitioned spaces. This was OK as I was with my sister, so sound carrying etc was not an issue, but it could be for others.
4.5
Very quaint and quirky house. The accommodation is like one very large room divided into sections by big folding screens. It has been furnished with lots of bric a brac and has a huge smart TV and very fast internet. The beds are very comfortable and the place is clean. There are 2 toilets ( own little rooms) and a shower hidden behind a screen in the laundry. The kitchen has a stove, microwave and bar fridge with what looks like plenty of crockery and cutlery. The reverse cycle AC and heater works very quickly. The owner was great and communication was excellent down to details of parking, instructions etc. Very comfortable for 1 night. Perfectly adequate for 2 couples and location is excellent - walking distance to cinema and restaurants. The furnishings are unusual though and a mish mash of different vintages.
It was a bit pricey but we did book it at the last minute as we only decided to go see the Elvis exhibition a few of weeks ago and everything else was booked up.
4.5
It was central to everything we needed to get to
Did take a day to warm up but it's also an old building so was to be expected

Location was excellent
It was very cluttered
2.0
it is close to the town.
It is advertised as a house. it is a converted open plan office, not a house. For the price, this was not worth it.
the cutlery was extremely cheap. I had a couple for dinner so I bought steak knives, basic cups, etc. no paper towel or napkin.
bed was comfortable. it does have toilets but no “bathroom “. we made the best of it but I would not do this again,

good location.
It is falsely advertised as a 2-bedroom residence. Its actually a converted hairdressing studio. One big room with paper screen dividers to “create” two bedrooms. Zero privacy. No way to shut out lounge room noise if you had a young child sleeping in one of the “bedrooms”. one tiny shared bathroom. No breakfast, no real kitchen. photos are deceptive. It would be impossible to stay in the house for any kind of long term stay with a family. Way overpriced. Not a cent seems to have been spent on infrastructure to convert the salon into a home -a couple of beds, a sofa setting.
2.5
Close to restaurants and shopping precinct.
While photos of the property show a door, (which one would assume to be the front door), there is no advice on the host blog to advise that there is no entry to the property via the front door. As three mature women, we were more than uncomfortable accessing the property through the rear door after dark as the house is located in a very quiet area. Access to the back of the property is down either one of two lane-ways. We were also uncomfortable with the fact that had there been an emergency, there was only one exit, with the front door being unavailable and bars on most windows.
Cleanliness of the property is not in dispute, but the accommodation is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail and excessive clutter. Regardless of what photos are available in the advertising, if ‘bedrooms’ are stipulated, then paying guests are entitled to expect what is advertised. Screens do not miraculously turn a space into a ‘bedroom’.

The owner was fantastic to deal with, location excellent and extremely clean. Beds comfortable. Gift on arrival which was a nice touch.
Unfortunately I mustn’t have looked at the photos well enough… this is a family/studio room, not 2 bedroom house/apartment as advertised. If you’re travelling with a snorer or another couple the rooms are separated by dividers that don’t reach the ceiling. For $500 per night I’m sorry but this wasn’t value for money or what I originally booked.

Loved our stay such a beautiful town

Location to town
Clean and comfortable.

No breakfast although there were a few bits and pieces there. Eg some Weetbix and long life milk. Loved the fact that the milk was extra light.
Not necessarily better but it would have been good to know the bedrooms were part of the main one large room, partitioned off by screens. Not a problem as we were family but I would have felt a little uncomfortable if we had been with another couple.

Location was good but not great
The property was obviously previously a house converted into a hair salon and not properly reconverted. 2 toilets 5 sinks but no kitchen. The house didn’t have separate rooms but were divided by flimsy head high paper room dividers
Collecting the key was inconvenient. Access only available through the back door. The cost of the room was grossly overpriced
1.5
No breakfast- no milk. No walls in for bedrooms. No indication in the advertising that we had no walls as we had a problem with a snorer
Advertise what is there and it was very pricey for what we got- it was advertised as a house and we weren’t allowed to use front door
4.0
Lucy was incredibly accomodating. Picking up the keys was very easy and the located is fantastic - walking distance to everything you could need. The property is clean, very quirky, nicely furnished and very comfortable.
We didn't realise the bedrooms don't really have walls, more separated by dividers. This only proved a little tricky getting the children to bed as we couldn't really sit up and watch TV as the noise kept them awake. Wasn't a major issue, but more a surprise for us.
