Our stay at Camelot was great. The house was large enough for 3 families with plenty of room to spare. The beach was a short walk away and the house was really close to the grocery store store and more impotantly, the ice cream shop. The pool was a huge hit with the kids. We really appreciated all of the beach toys, chairs and umbrellas that were provided. The beach wagon was a Godsend when carting everything to the beach.

We had such a great time at Camelot. Eileen and Chris were both great with communication and accommodating us! The house is exactly as listed. Great location! Close to shopping and restaurants. We loved that the house was a bit secluded. It has everything we needed for a party of 9. Staying at this house made our OBX vacation perfect!

We had a wonderful week at Camelot. Easy access to the beach and having everything you need for a day on the beach is a blessing. Having your own pool is a refreshing treat after a hot day at the beach. The short walk to the beach allows you to come and go as you please.
We enjoyed having coffee on the upper deck in the morning and cocktails at night. We hung out every night in the family room talking, doing a puzzle, and playing games.
Enough room for us all to have our own bedroom and bathroom.
Upon our arrival the last party to rent the house moved the key and Chris responded to us immediately and solved the problem. She was apologetic and replied to our text and phone call quickly to give us quick access and start our vacation.

We had a wonderful time at this house. It was clean, not a bad walk to the beach, and the pool was so nice to have. The house had a nice set up and the kitchen had everything we needed. Eileen was lovely and was able to help us with any issues that sprung up. We would definitely rent one of the houses from this owner again.

Our entire family, six adults and four children, appreciated the perfect vacation house for our OBX vacation. The house accommodated all our needs and the property manager handeled an unfortunate appliance failure immediately. The large private pool was not heated but we used it and the large hot tub everyday. The beach is an easy walk just a couple blocks away and wasn’t hard for either the grandparents or the youngest, a 5 year old.
The grocery store, restaurants, and shopping is all close by.
The only improvement to the home would be to install a smart tv in each bedroom (not the bunk rooms). Our two rainy days some retreated to their bedroom and missed having a television they could stream on.
The home owner provided nice beach chairs and kids boards and toys, nice addition to a fully equipped home. We would love to rent this property again if we have an opportunity to return to Corolla, NC.

Location was great, close to grocery, restaurants, liquor store, activities, and beach. About a 7 minute walk to beach. And pretty secluded house private surrounded by trees which was great. Hot tub didn’t work when we got there but after a couple days they replaced the pump and it worked great after. A lot of stairs in these 3 story homes so you’ll get your workouts in for sure. There is no linen at this house I noticed it at the bottom of description like the day before arriving luckily.
I’ve worked at front desk in hotels for years and hate to leave negative things in my reviews but I hope this helps the next guests.. They didn’t give a welcome packet explaining trash, wifi, anything about the property, or recommendations, the manager just texts who ever booked it randomly throughout the week with a copied and pasted message she sends to all the properties so you have to figure out what applies to the property you’re staying at. Wifi didn’t work entire time asked about 3 times for help because simply resetting it didn’t work, didn’t receive any help. Routers only last several years and that one was really old so we had to use all of our hot spot data for the month for work but we stayed the last week of the month so that was lucky. Airfilters we’re both disgusting we replaced one and vacuumed the closet it was in since we could literally see the dust through the shutter doors of the closet. The other filter was too high to get to. Quite a few lightbulbs were out and we were having to juggle bulbs to where we needed them since we couldn’t find any spares. Mattresses were very dated and rough to sleep in but most are in these older OBX rentals. A few of the tubs didn’t drain well at all which got kinda gross. Oh and the ice maker in the fridge barely makes ice so be sure to pick up some bags before arriving.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again, we’ll just come better prepared knowing the things I listed above.

Overall, our family had a great week long visit to Corolla. While we were there, it was super hot, so we took advantage of the nearby beach and huge pool on a daily basis. The house was clean and we had plenty of kitchen and dining items. A few items need to be addressed: WIFI was terrible, TVs outdated, living room seating needs replacing, vacuum needed to be cleaned, centipedes in the lower level. Love the location, close to grocery store and restaurants and neighborhood location of house very private. We had to have a few things taken care of and Eileen was very quick to respond.

What a great home with a large, private pool and hot tub! Plenty of room for our family of 12 and could have had more stay with no problem. The beach access is only a 5 min walk and so worth it considering the privacy of the house and pool area surrounded by trees and nature! The grocery store, ice cream and other shops are super close for convenience. The property manager, Eileen was so nice and texted us reminders and tips several times about our stay. (We even mistakenly left our laptop behind and she quickly and kindly responded, found it and is shipping back to us). I highly recommend staying at Camelot!

Our family enjoyed our stay at The Camelot! Location was a very short walk to the beach. The beach itself was pristine. We appreciated having the beach chairs and toys provided to us at the house. The grill was another great addition. The pool and hot tub got use everyday. Our family of 6 adults and one child had plenty of space throughout the house. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Quiet neighborhood that is close enough to restaurants and shops.

This house has many positives. The kitchen is well supplied and orderly. The lot is very private, especially the pool area. Our toddlers really enjoyed having space to poke around in the sand right by the house. The house was not perfectly clean when we arrived, but that may be a temporary COVID related phenomenon, because it was clear everywhere we went that staffing is a problem. The screen porch is buggy and there's lots of noise from the road, but overall I would recommend this house and would consider staying there again. The owner and local contact were both extremely helpful. It was also great having at tennis court in the neighborhood. Final plus was the convenience to Harris-Tetter (less than 5 minute drive away) and other food stores. For some, the presence of a life guard right at the beach entrance will also be important.

Our family vacationed in the outer banks for the first time in August. This property was perfect for our large family with room to spread out and enjoy many different activities. The proximity to the beach made it easy to walk back and forth for meals and an occasional dip in the pool. Open markets with local seafood and grocery stores were conveniently located nearby. All in all a perfect vacation!

This was our first vacation since the pandemic. It was such an awesome time. I agree with one of the other guests —the house is spacious but cozy. It’s a short jaunt to the beach—no crowds and so gorgeous. We saw dolphins near the shore on our first day. What an awesome welcome! There is a washer and dryer which came in very handy. The top floor (3rd level) contains the kitchen, dining, and a bedroom with a lovely view. Each floor had a full bath—very convenient. The other people in the community were so friendly and we ate some delicious food —so many good restaurants (unique to area) close to the house. I can’t wait to return. Thank you Chris for being such a wonderful host!

The good: The house overall is nice. Our family enjoyed the beach which isn't too far from the house. It is super close to Harris Teeter, we walked there a few times. The home is very private, which is a definite plus. It had plenty of room for our group of 10 adults. The kitchen has just about anything you would want to prepare and serve meals. The outdoor shower was a big hit. There was a large driveway to accommodate all four of our cards. Close to the wild horse tours, we took one with Back Country Safari Tours and it was amazing since we went at 6pm and got to see the sun set too. The not so good: We were very disappointed with the "ocean view" as the one photo in this listing is not accurate. There is not a view of the ocean from the home. The home is tired and needs maintenance. There were broken chairs, not only broken beach chairs but also broken deck chairs, a screen is missing from the screen deck which made it useless in the evenings. The picnic table on the top deck was warping and the chair cushions are fraying. And if you are traveling in more than one car, be sure every car has toilet paper. I did not expect them to supply toilet paper for the entire week. However, I have never rented a home in 30 years where there was absolutely no toilet paper in any bathroom. My daughter arrived to the house first and then had to leave to get some. One roll in one bathroom is what we expected for a home of this caliber. I did mention the broken beach chairs and missing screen to Chris. A gentleman came over and gave us replacement beach chairs however the screen was never repaired. Again, we did enjoy the home but felt the pictures were most likely taken when everything outside was brand new. It has worn over the year. Did it make our trip less fun, definitely not however for the weekly rental price we expected more.

We had an absolutely amazing and FUN stay at Camelot :) We were able to start our stay a few hours earlier than check-in, which was wonderful. The house is very well maintained and the bedrooms all well-appointed. We opted for the linen/towel service and that was a breeze and well worth it. The kitchen is lovely and spacious and well stocked. Plenty of dining seating. Couches in the main level family room are SO comfy. As is the very large sectional in the lower level.
The walk to the beach (and such a wonderful beach stretch!) was about 5 minutes. So easy. But perhaps our favorite and unexpected bonus was the pool and hot tub. The pool was larger than a typical OBX house private pool and also well maintained. The hot tub was perfect as well. Add in the corn hole game, and the outdoor evening activities were so fun.
My only drawback was the fact that the gas tank on the outdoor grill ( a nice one) was empty upon our arrival and we wanted to grill out at least one night. We were told we would have to refill the propane ourselves when I inquired about it. I was not inclined to purchase a whole tank to grill out one night, so we were disappointed in that.
But overall, we had a great vacation and great stay at Camelot. Would recommend!

The house is more updated/modern than it appears online. Pool and hot tub were in great condition. House is very nicely situated - not too far from the beach and walkable to Harris Teeters. Nothing is more than a few miles away so you never have to be in the car for too long. Our first time staying in Corolla after many stays in Duck, we’re sold!

This is the best vacation home in the OBX! We have stayed here 3 years now and there is a reason we keep returning every year. We traveled with our 5 young kids (ages 7 and under) and 2 parents, and there was plenty of space for everyone.
The location is perfect - very secluded at the end of a cul-de-sac but only a short 3-5 minute walk to the beach.
The house is fully equipped with everything you will need for the week.
The pool is very big compared to most of the homes in the area. It is cleaned twice a week too.
There is nothing better than sitting on the upper deck, watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee, and listening to the sound of the ocean. We would highly recommend this home for your family vacation!

We had an amazing vacation at Camelot! There were 11 of us, and it couldn't have worked out better. The house is amazing. It has everything you need and it is all nice quality .We cooked a fair amount and it worked out great! There were plenty of plates , silverware, pots and pans, some nicer than I have at my house! Eileen was great to deal with, the pool and hot tub were clean and well kept.
It was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we definitely will be back. Thank you!

We just got back from our week at Camelot! The name says it all! From booking to departure, the transaction was super smooth. We traveled with three children (ages 9, 7 and 4) This house had something for everyone! LOTS of space so you are not on top of one another. Toys for the beach and pool are provided and that eliminated SO many things that we had to bring with us. The house is clean, well stocked with items for great cooking, and laid out so nicely. There are SO many places to sit depending on what your looking for: Need shade---There is a deck for that. Grilling and don't want to be left out--there are seats for people to hang out with you. Want full sun-hit the pool area! Want to stay away from the bugs--go to the screened in porch! The ocean view is SO serene! There is something for everyone!
The proximity to the beach is amazing. Less than a 5 minute walk! Super easy even for our 4 year old. We enjoyed getting up early and looking for shells---the best shelling experience we have ever had on a beach vacation! The lifeguards are so friendly and helpful.
We visited my brother in law who was renting 5 minute away...the houses were on top of one another....Camelot offers FULL privacy!! We were able to access WI-FI in all rooms throughout the large house as well as received it in the pool area. This was helpful for streaming music from iPhones and wireless speakers. Eileen--who helps take care of the place was super sweet and VERY helpful. We had two SELF CREATED issues and she was able to help us out within minutes!
Regarding the pool--Even though the pool is not heated, the full sun warms it up pretty fast. The pool is HUGE. Perfect for large families.
We are hoping to come back. This was a very hard vacation to leave. EVERYBODY was happy with trying a new location (We normally vacation in Hilton Head). I can't imagine going anywhere else now! We live a very hectic life...always on the go, medical issues and every day stresses that make life "interesting"....for ONE WEEK it seemed to all go away. We ALL were relaxed and enjoyed our simple vacation. Thank you Chris for making sure that OUR vacation was stress free, perfect and memorable. We will hopefully be in touch for next year!

We've stayed at other individual houses in OBX, but this house was great for two families! The beach is fantastic too-- very clean, soft sand, and NO seaweed!
