The location was excellent-close to Grand Haven downtown as well as river and Lake Michigan waterfront. The rental was clean and cute. However, the rental is attached to the back of a house and there are 3 rental spaces in very close/tight proximity. I have rented in Grand Haven a few times and for the cost of this rental I was a bit disappointed.

We chose Lisa’s apartment for location, size and amenities. The apartment has a whimsical beach vibe with all amenities making for a very comfortable stay. Clean, convenient and charming sums it up. Lisa is a gracious host especially when her guests misplaced the key late one night. Without a hint of annoyance she let us in. Fortunately we found the key soon after!

Can’t say enough good about this VRBO..other than this place was our jam! We (4) rented the upstairs unit..1 Queen Bedroom/Bath, 1 full sleeper couch+ porch+full kitchen with supplies- it is a rustic unit but has retro/beach design and we just loved it - it has a window air conditioner but we were 100% comfortable…Lisa was amazing with suggestions and is onsite, quick to respond via the app re:booking and while on property- greeted us when we arrived. Small cooler and ice bag along with beach chairs provided. While downtown and the beach are walkable, I suggest driving..use the city beach (no fee) for sunset - then the musical fountain downtown and street games/foods/boutiques. A larger unit is also available downstairs with 2 bedrooms- we hope to visit again - Thank you for sharing your vibe with us…it was a great weekend to reconnect with our daughters and enjoy Father’s Day !

The apartment looked just like the pictures - adorable! The colors are so bright and cheery. My husband and I wanted a quick weekend getaway and this was the perfect spot. We love Grand Haven and even on a cooler, drizzly October weekend we walked to the downtown quite a bit. It’s close to everything.

Lisa’s place was bright and fun and she was very kind and helpful. We were able to walk downtown to shop and eat. Grand Haven is a beautiful place and the sunset over Lake Michigan is incredible.

The property was exactly how we expected. Very cute! It had all the amenities we needed for a weekend away. Would rent it again. The things I would add would be a welcome sign on the door just so renters know they are at the right place. We didn't know if we were walking through the correct screen door or correct door up the stairs. It does say it sleeps 6 however, I am not sure 6 adults would fit.

We absolutely loved it! Beautiful neighborhood, close to downtown, CLEAN! Loved the décor! It was great! The only little hiccup was not knowing how to check in. We were unfamiliar with getting messages on vrbo so we didn’t know that we needed to go online to find out what the check in process was, we assumed there would be an office or check-in desk. Another guest saw us struggling with what to do and told us to check on vrbo and locate messages. Other than that WE LOVED our stay! Thank you!

There were pros and cons with this property. Location was great. The property not so much. The floors were slanted and felt unsafe. There was very little communication with the owner about check in and laundry such as (towels and washcloths). I wish there would have been some information on all the places to see and food recommendations in the area. Instead of renting out this unit, the other unit felt and looked more spacious and safer. This particular unit should not be rented out. In fact, we left a day early.

Went away for a quick weekend vacation last minute with my husband and were so pleased with this place. Very cozy and had everything we would needed. It was walking distance (10-15 minute walk) to downtown and biking distance from everything else. Lisa was so kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.

My husband and another couple really enjoyed our stay in Grand Haven. The property was clean and comfortable while in a great location. The owners provide thoughtful items within the rental that you may need or find useful such as iron and ironing board, beach chairs, or even an electric fan. The seating and sleeping options were quite comfortable. The location is a pleasant walk away from all of the downtown activities and highlights. We highly recommend this rental and would consider staying again should we need to on a return visit.

The unit was definitely as pictured, very cute with nice vintage touches and was clean and well stocked. The owners were really friendly and fun. However, while it was walk-able to "water", it was the marina, not the beach which you have to drive to. Very walk-able to town though which was awesome. The only big recommend I'd give is that one of the fold out couches was so uncomfortable with a bar-in-the-back situation that it was virtually unusable. Since we had 4 girls it kind of made sleeping really hard and uncomfortable for which ever member of our crew volunteered to take that bed each night. Until that fold out is replaced I'd definitely only count on the bed, and the one pull out in terms of sleeping spaces.

I spent a month in this property and loved every minute of it. I'm an English professor and used the place as my research retreat, taking time to walk the boardwalk and enjoy West Michigan throughout the month. Lisa and Scott are fabulous hosts--very warm and accommodating.

This was a perfect spot, and we'll definitely come back! We had a different rental cancel on us at the last minute, and Lisa made it incredibly easy to secure our stay in this adorable apartment. Upon arrival, Lisa was there to greet us and show us around. We had mentioned that we were staying for our first anniversary, and when we arrived home after dinner, there was a small gift from her hanging on the door handle. The house is adorable, bright, and happy. Our apartment was perfect for our needs, and included beach chairs and coolers to borrow for a beach day! The space is quiet and private, but super close and an easy walk to the downtown area. We will definitely be back, Thank you Lisa and Scott!

Well, Here's my story we have been taking our kids on a "MYSTERY TRIP" every year for the past 20 years! Our kids are now 22 & 18. We spent 5 nights and 6 days at this wonderful "HAPPY HOUSE" in Grand Haven, at the end of our trip our kids said "Mom this is the BEST TRIP we have EVER been on!!! (and trust me we have been to a TON of awesome places) "We don't think you will ever be able to beat this one Mom"! There is just soooo much to do here you can stay as busy as you like! Boy, we were busy!! The accommodations of this house were perfect along with the location, You truly are in the middle of everything that's fun to do! The owners of this house were soooo helpful to us if we had any questions at all they were right there to help us out! I would tell all my friends and family if they were heading to Grand Haven this is the place to stay hands down! I give this house and the owners a 10++++ rating!! CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, COZY and a GREAT PRICE!!! Thanks Again for a great trip!!
